Chieftain Twilight xxEternallyBluexx Chieftain Twilight i tend to dislike most fundamentalists, because of the habit that most of them have to be stuck-up elitists and self-righteous pricks. so many times have i had to sit there and be ripped a new one because i don't agree with everything they believe in or say 100%. it's ******** bullshit. stare havn't they ever heard of "live and let live"? seriously, it's enough to make me wanna kill someone! stressed Believe what I believe or I'll kill you! pirate ...just kidding. ^.^ I hope you don't think we're all like that though... sweatdrop oh, no no, not all of you. xd i tend to expect it when i hear someone refer to themself as a fundamentalist, or when i hear someone else refer to them as it, but i have a personal rule about always giving someone a chance. i won't make a definite judgement about someone till i interact with them myself. if you don't come across as a self-righteous elitist i won't assume you are one just because your a fundamentalist. xd it's just that in my experience, most of them are, so i tend to be wary. it's the same way i feel about wiccans. alot of them are total fluff-bunnies,so i am disillusioned with the religion itself. however, i have some wiccan friends who are a bit less fluffy. I am honored not to be thought of as an elitist fundie snob then. XD I know some really nice people in the church, but I'll be the first to admit some Christians have problems with being self-rightous.

But yeah I concur with Chieftain on this, I may not agree with some of your views but I don't see you as an elitist snob. You're quite a pleasant person to chat with.

yeh, yer an ok kid. ^_^
anywho, i for one know of the potential for wonderful friends to be found in even the most rediculous churches. xd the church i went to for about 2 years was run by a pastor who respected both the Democratic and Republican opinions and sides, but who strongly felt that his own conservative standings were somehow biblically correct (despite the fact that they have nothing to do with anything in the bible). i left that church, but i still sometimes feel sad for the loss of good friends there. i don't get to hng out with them much, and i have neve been a big fan of networking sites other than Gaia. i have a Facebook, and used to have MySpace... but i rarelt go on them, and besides which, most of the church friends i have would rather use zanga or MyYearbook... i'm just not going to bother spreading myself out across the internet for my friends.

xxEternallyBluexx >.< That stinks. I think trying to convert other Christians is kinda silly, unless they're not really Christian (like Christian cults) What do you mean by Christian cults? Because cult by definition is organized religion, which is basically every religion out there.

I mean unhealthy cults then, like Children of God where they think 'love' means have tons of sex, including with children. They may have changed some of their views by now, but there's some groups out there, or who were out there, that are pretty bad.

And thanks. ^^ I like chatting with you too, even if we don't agree on everything.

That's pretty much the only other networking site I use since my Facebook was banned.

I read about them in a book called 'Not Without My Sister'. It's depressing, what some of those people went through and hardly anyone seems to know. Their prophet tortured his granddaughter because she refused to have sex with him. cry mad
