"No good." David replied, waving the scroll away. "It needs to be sort of like a contained explosion, staying in one spot for at least..." David stared at the roof for a moment, mentally ticking a clock, thinking about the move he wanted to do. "Three seconds or so. Longer would be nice, but I think that's enough." With that he stuffed the scroll he was holding back onto the rack, unsatisfied with it's contents. Pulling out a second one he began to skim it as well. The fire clones looked promising, but he wasn't sure it was what he wanted. The timing would have to be perfect.

Description: A jutsu that sends a stream of fire towards the opponent, originating from the users mouth. In some cases it has been seen to take on the form of a dragon. Capable of being used like a flamethrower, prolonged exposure has been known to transform boulders and cliff side’s into molten piles of magma.
Note: Genin can use the technique for up to two posts, Chuunin for three, and Jounin for five. As mentioned before, strength of the flame and prolonged exposure can prove devastating.

"It could work." The boy murmured. "A bit excessive though." He sighed, shoving the scroll he held back onto the rack. He wasn't sure he was going to find anything worthwhile. "The fire is meant as part of a two stage attack, it needs to be something that I can send another attack through, and control how it turns out. A high ranking tech would be far too much waste if I wasn't using it as the actual attack." He was still trying to hid a bit of the finer details, but it wouldn't matter if he couldn't do it in the end. "Maybe I should use clones after all." He muttered, reaching for the scroll again."

Katon: Shuriken no Jutsu (Fire Release: Shuriken Technique)
Description: A relatively basic katon, this one uses chakra to coat a metal shuriken or a kunai with fire. It is done so that the user first throws the shuriken, then exhales from his or her mouth a small flame that ignites the chakra-coated projectile. If the attack succeeds, not only will your opponent be hurt by the shuriken or kunai, but he will also suffer from burns.

"Would be great if I wanted to light something on fire. But I don't." David rolled his eyes. "I want to launch an attack through a fire jutsu to power it up, not start a fire. Do you know the ember clone technique?" He suddenly asked, rolling out the scroll and pointing it out. "If I used my attack to burst the clone, it would create a blast of heat large enough to do the job." He explained. The clones could move on their own, so he didn't have to control them, and they could move to the perfect location to make his attack from in an instant. It was perfect! Add in the relatively low cost of a genin level jutsu, and it was the best option he could find.

David pondered for a moment, then nodded. "Yeah, the clones should work." He answered. Whenever he learned a new technique, or heard a new idea, he got a rush of scenes playing through his mind, things he could do with the new techniques, and this one was no different. The only real difference here was that he had known what the plan was before going after the jutsu, but now that he knew what jutsu it would be, the flood of ideas was coming anew.
(( I can learn fire right? I didn't see any particular rules on elemental affinities. ))

David blinked as the woman left, before quickly shoving the scroll back onto the shelf and following her. He wasn't sure where they were headed, but she was planning on teaching him a new technique, that was something important.

She walked out and went to the sand dunes,since her other clone was in the training facility,she couldn't go there, so the only place she could go is the dunes.

Walking a few paces up, she paused, a manicured hand tracing up along the shelves daintily before resting a simple, small scroll. Wrapping her fingers around the parchment, Mars pulled it from its home and unravelled it, revealing simple but useful tricks for when she could need them in a bind. "Mhm." Walking over to a nearby table, Marlene sat down, untying a small bow of ribbon from around her leg, she retied it around two of her fingers - one from each hand.
The scroll laid out on the desk unattended to, Marlene focused on her chakra pathway, pushing chakra down through her arms, hands and into the two fingers that were tied together. Eyes closed, Marlene relied on her own body's sense of touch to feel out the untieing of the ribbon. Slowly, she used the chakra to leaden certain parts of the ribbon, loosening it until it fell by its own weight and Marlene's fingers were freed. She retied the ribbon to her leg.
