If You Can't Handle the Heat...1,054 words Link Participant: Rhodizite
Summary: Pomona faces Rhodizite for the first time. She's heard warnings about him from the Basterds, but he thanks to his reaction to her attacks she ends up with what could be considered her first "victory."
Thoughts: This guy... well, he was supposed to be tough, but it doesn't seem like he'll pose much a threat to me. My attacks should keep him at bay at least. Supposedly he's beaten up a couple of my teammates before, so maybe there's finally a way for me to be useful: Rhodizite repellent.

I Wake to Sleep496 words Link Journal,
There doesn't see to be much cause to say "dear" these days, does there? It seems like just when would trouble vanishes, another appears to take its place. Just being a normal teenager is hard enough without these extra problems!
As I write this I am in my bedroom, listening to the eerie quiet of home. Normally the TV would be on, or Victor and Quintus would be causing a ruckus, but not today. Not now. Grandma Abelia has decided to come take care of the house while my parents are indisposed. Grandmother doesn't care for TV, and insists on good manners indoors. Normally I wouldn't care, but in light of what is going on... well, even the illusion of normalcy might be comforting.
My parents? Mother is in the hospital, in labor. My little sister Flora will be born soon, and although I have looked forward to her arrival, I must say that she has rather bad timing. Father is in the hospital too, though for different reasons. I am grateful that the hospital was able to find room for them, considering how hectic it is there.
You may be wondering what's going on. Trust me, you're not the only one. Even when I first woke up I had the feeling that today was not going to be a good day. I turned on the radio and was shocked to hear the breaking news: trouble in Destiny City! An unidentified epidemic of some sort had sent a large portion of Destiny City into simultaneous comas. There were accidents and fires everywhere and the injured were being dragged to the hospital in droves.
After recovering from my shock I called home. No one answered the phone, so I called my mother's cell phone. She answered, and in a strained voice she told me that my father was one of the strange plague's victims and that she thought she was in labor. I hurried to the hospital, both to check on my parents and to take care of my little brothers. When I got there mother, Victor, and Quintus were still in the waiting room. Someone had taken father, but they were waiting on a bed from mother. After some arguing I eventually agreed to take Victor and Quintus home.
Of course, that was easier said then done. I can't drive, so I would've had to walk home from the hospital, like I walked from Crystal to the hospital. Miraculously Grandmother met us in the parking lot of the hospital. She made us wait in her car, took 15 minutes to go into the hospital and take stock of what was going on, and then finally drove us home.
So now here I am, curled up in my bed, writing in you. I'm going to indulge in pathetic self-pity tonight, because who knows what tomorrow holds. Assuming the world doesn't manage to end between now and then, I'll try to find out what's going on tomorrow.

An Idea is Like a Virus554 words Link Have you ever had an idea that wouldn’t leave you alone? An idea that dogged you day and night, demanding that you pay it attention? One that only grew if you tried to ignore it? I have.
Most of my annoying ideas are simple, harmless. Some of my ideas result in pain, but those are usually the ones that involved new, creative ways to try to give Rajah a bath. Occasionally my ideas will get me in trouble, but not often. In all, most of my ideas don’t amount to much.
This one is different.
It started when I became Sailor Pomona. My introduction to Senshi-dom was… lacking, to say the least. I had many questions, but no idea who to ask them to. By the time I met some experienced Senshi, I had already learned some things through trial and error. I began to think that there needed to be a better way to help new Senshi adjust to their new roles.
I had ideas for this. Oh, I had lots of ideas; problem was, few of them were practical. Instructional pamphlets wouldn’t work, nor would anything written or recorded. The problem there was the Negaverse, and the chances of them getting their hands on something. If the instructions were too vague then they’d be useless for Senshi, but if they were too detailed then there’d be the risk of giving the Negaverse new information. So no, nothing written or recorded would work. What then?
I thought it would be good if some of the Senshi teams would take in the new Senshi. Of course, I realized this might upset the balance of an established team, so that wouldn’t work. If only there was a team designed to take in new Senshi…
Then my world changed. I discovered that Sydney, my best friend Sydney, was actually Sailor Sinon. We discovered one another’s identities after she helped me defeat a youma. We talked, and I jokingly raised the idea of us starting a Senshi team.
The idea stuck. I couldn’t stop thinking about it, and the more I thought about it, the more it evolved. Suddenly I realized that I was making plans, and that there was nothing to actually stop me from doing this. I was going to try to help new Senshi, and with the help of Sinon, perhaps even form a Senshi team.
Sometimes the idea still gives me pause. I had never intended to pick up a position of power, no matter how small, in this continuation of an old, magical war, and yet it seems that I’m doing just that. Perhaps my team will be such a strange hodge-podge as to merit little attention from the Negaverse.
So far we do make for a strange group. I think the first member will be Sailor Sirius, recruited by Sinon. Sirius is an experienced Senshi, something neither Sinon nor I can claim. The rest of the team will likely be made of Senshi even greener then us. If Sirius doesn’t help us, it’ll be the blind leading the blind.
Too late to go back though. The idea has spread too far, and things are now in motion. If things go as planned, I will end up calling a new, motley group of Senshi my team.
Hm, Motley. Now there’s an idea…

Family Snow Wars680 words Link Rose lay in her bed, glaring at the snowflakes drifting by her window. She had never been especially fond of cold weather, but now she could honestly say that she hated it.
~*~
When she heard the old man’s scream, Pomona had instinctively henshined up. The blast of cold weather was a rude awakening. The cold snap had been abrupt, and she hadn’t spared the cool weather much thought until now. Fringe tinkling as she shivered, she crossed her arms tightly over her chest as she ran towards the sound of the scream. She prayed that fighting would warm her.
~*~
The youma had looked like a partially melted snowman. It actually aided its own defeat by throwing snowballs made from its own snow at her. Unfortunately, being whacked by snowballs had done nothing to help her warm up. She had ended up with several bruises from the fight – her heels didn’t have the best traction, she discovered – and the sniffles. The old man hadn’t even thanked her, just wandered off muttering about “youngins.”
So no, Rose no longer liked the cold. She had every intention of staying in bed. As irresponsible as it was, she wanted to simply hibernate until Spring, when the temperature returned to something more reasonable. Besides, how much would she really be missed? She could dust youmas, but she wasn’t much good against Negas. She was sorta the leader of Motley Crew – she refused to outright claim the position of Leader – but Sinon could take over. After all, Sinon could take over; she had pants, the lucky b*****d.
Rose had just snuggled back under her blankets and was drifting back to sleep when the door to her room creaked upon. It was silly – she was in her own home – but instincts caused her to tense in preparation for attack. Attacked she was, though not by a youma, but her two younger brothers. They bounced insistently on her bed until she groaned and growled, “ I’m gonna get you!”
Quintus took off with a shriek of laughter, but Victor lingered behind.
“ C’mon sis, come play with us!” When Rose made no motion to get out of bed, he added, “ You promised.”
That was true. Between school and her Senshi duties, Rose had little time left to spend with her family. She spent as much time with them as she could, but it still saddened her that she didn’t have the time she used to have. When she missed Quintus’s play, she had promised him and Victor that she would play the White Witch for an epic Narnia snow battle.
With a nod and wave of her hand, Rose sent her brother away and dragged herself out of bed. She had promised, and she would keep her promise, but damn it, why did her brothers have to pick a snow battle as her penance? She tugged on several layers of clothes for both warmth and padding – she was still bruised – before heading outside.
As soon as she stepped outside the back door, she was whacked in the face with a snowball. Blinking, she brushed the offending snow off her face and glanced around. Quintus was giggling behind a tree, Victor preparing a snowball next to him; they would pay.
A couple hours later, the three siblings tramped back into the house, the two boys panting and grinning widely, a more subdued smile lighting Rose’s face. Teresa looked up from what she was cooking and asked with a grin, “ Who won?”
“ Us, of course! We pummeled her!” Bragged Victor.
“ ‘sides, the good guys always win.” Added Quintus sagely, removing the cat ear headband he had put on to indicate his role as Aslan.
Rose ruffled her brothers’ hair, ignoring their protests as she covertly brushed the snow from them. As childish as the game had been, and as nasty and cold as the weather was, she had still had fun romping through the snow with her brothers. She regretted neglecting them as she had and promised to budget her time better. After all, the White Witch had to have her revenge.

Cats and Snow Globes683 words Link Rose was a collector. She had a shelving unit in her bedroom filled with trinkets, knickknacks, and figurines. The collection was carefully arranged so that prized objects were in front, easily seen. Most of them, anyway. Her most precious – and breakable – pieces were kept on the shelf high above her bed, out of reach of nosy little brothers. Most of these were cat figurines either of fragile glass or rare breeds. One object, however, was not like the others.
A snow globe. Snow globes were not something normally collected, but this one was special. So special, in fact, that Rose spent several minute every night before bed playing with it.
It was the song. It was familiar somehow, even though Rose would swear she had never heard it before. The song was soothing, especially after a long day of juggling school, family, and patrols. It had become a habit for her to pull the snow globe down fro its shelf and crank it several times before falling asleep. Tonight was no different.
Rose stood on her bed and gingerly removed the snow globe. Settling down on her bed, she pet Rajah, who had deigned to join her on her bed. She turned the globe over and twisted the little knob, holding it as she listening to the quiet melody. At first she didn’t notice anything different, not until Rajah butt his head against the snow globe. She was about to flick his ear, but stopped, her ears picking up on something.
Lifting the snow globe, Rose pressed her ear to it. It was fading, fading, gone, but she could have sworn that she heard… something. Someone.
~*~
Rose collapsed on her bed, exhausted. She had just enough energy to kick her shoes off and pull the blanket up over her head. Fighting youma in the snow, in a miniskirt, was cold, exhausting work. She had considered getting a mug of hot chocolate, but it was too much effort; she just wanted to sleep.
Sleep she did, but briefly. She was rudely awakened by Rajah, who had jumped on her chest. Rose blinked groggily, trying to figure out what was going on in her cat’s brain that made him decide to jump on her at this ungodly hour. Said cat was just sitting there, purring away, staring at something above her head. With a groan Rose gave up, rolled over – dislodging a now disgruntled cat – and decided to leave cat psychology to the morning.
~*~
Second verse, same as the first; well, similar anyway. Another night of patrolling in the cold led to Rose collapsing one her bed yet again. The only difference was that this time she hadn’t actually had to fight a youma, so she wasn’t quite as tired. In fact, she had managed to change into her pajamas, an accomplishment she felt quite proud of. Just before she pulled her blanket over her head, she glared at Rajah, who was sitting innocently in his cat bed.
“ Don’t wake me up.”
And then she went to sleep.
Of course, Rajah was a cat, and cats are not known for following orders. In the middle of the night, Rose was once again awakened by her cat jumping on her chest. This time, however, she could tell why.
Scrambling to her feet – Rajah was getting annoyed at his human throwing him off like this – Rose hurriedly grabbed the snow globe from the shelf. Flopping down on her bed, she held onto the snowglobe tightly.
‘ Be here soon? Be here soon…’
Rose chanced a glance at Raja, who had resumed watching the snowglobe. Rose believed the voice. Why not? She was a magical girl that attacked people with peppers who was acquainted with a talking cat. Strange women in snowglobes coming to visit Destiny City was not that far a stretch in comparison.
Setting the globe on her nightstand, Rose mentally cleared her calendar, making sure she’d be available to patrol that night. If this was really that blue-eyed girl, the one she had dreamed of, Rose would be damned if she missed her arrival.

Christmas Eve at the Town Square? words Link Major Interactions: Paris, Sailor Sinon, Castor
Sumary: An alien ice witch named Pricess Kaguya shows up to try to take over the world. While freezing her butt off, Pomona gets in an arguement with some ungrateful civilian.
With Kaguya's defeat, two crystals are revealed; Pomona gets neither. To try to keep Negas from the second crystal, Pomona uses her attack, but ends up hitting ********* by accident.
While people are still grappling over the second crystal, Pomona notices Wolframite holding Eternal Sailor Castor down, Tanzanite's arm stuck in Castor's chest. Pomona is the first to rush to Castor's aid, even though at first it means she's facing two Captains and a General alone. She doesn't attack, and eventually backup arrives. The Negas leave, but not before Tanzanite gives an ominous warning: Senshi will no longer be killed, but corrupted.
Castor survives, but Pomona can't handle his attitude after the day's drama.
