(( It's fine Genji ^^ We all get confused sometimes. Ronmaru, fine as well ))
Clearing her throat, Karin spoke loud enough for everyone to hear. So that the boy who made clones would have no reason for them, to tell him this she looked at him, every single one of him.
"Shigure Rei was murdered at her Peace meeting along with the other Village leaders. They were murdered by an unknown enemy and were in direct contact with an explosion. As such, I was appointed to be your new Mizukage. I hope you all accept this, and I apologize for telling you all such sad news at a time like this, with the wars going on," Her voice shook because the crowd before her was the largest she had ever been in the presence of.
"The village borders shall not be crossed by any one of you, unless you are given permission to, by me, or Zaine, because there is great tension between the villages, and is dangerous for you all. When borders are opened I will let you all know," The newly appointed Mizukage said seriously.
"Zaine, he has been promoted to Sannin rank, and will be helping me with my term as Mizukage. I have also assigned the newly graduated genin a 3 man cell, there will be changes later as more academy students graduate. For now there are two teams. Team 2, the Sensei is Zaine Tsukioma, and consists of Ronmaru, Genji, Ryo, and Chiaki," Karin stated once more, and took a deep breath to calm herself.
"Team 3, I will lead, and consists of Shimo, Takeshi, and Axel." After saying this, Karin smiled weakly and spoke again.
"This is all for now. I'd like for you all to go back to your homes, and change into funeral attire... We will be holding a memorial service for Shigure-sama. I hope you all attend..."

Takeshi was shocked. Only slightly, though. "Shigure Rei..." He repeated the name to himself. He suddenly flashbacked to his time as an academy student. He was about a year or two younger than he was now, but he still looked pretty much the same. Quote: "Hey Takeshi! There's a rumor going on that the Mizukage's going to visit for the graduation ceremony!" A boy a few years younger than him, yelled toward his general direction. Takeshi, who was laying down against a wall, merely opened one eye, and looked at the boy. "Who?" The boy came sprinting up to him. "WHAT?! You don't know who Shigure Rei is?! The great Mizukage-sama?!" Takeshi continued to stare at the boy. "Not at all. Should I care?" The boy's jaw dropped. "OF COURSE YOU SHOULD! She's the leader of this village! She's the reason why this village is the way it is now!" Takeshi glared at him. "And how many years has this person been the leader of the Mist?" The boy paused. "Uh....I don't remember. A few years?" Takeshi frowned and continued to glare at the boy. "She's the reason why this village is the way it is now...and she's also the reason my parents had their legs broken in multiple places, leaving me to do the farm work for four years." The boy stood there for a few seconds. Then, he sneered and spit on Takeshi's face. "That's you're fault! You and your family were too poor to live near the village, so you peasants had to live far away from the protection of the ninjas! The great Mizukage-sama is in no way obligated to help peasants like you!" Something within Takeshi just snapped. While the boy was talking, he discreetly formed one hand sign. Once the boy was finished talking, a kunai appeared in front of his neck, with Takeshi's clone holding it from behind the boy. "You think you can hurt me? That's just a simple cl--" The clone lightly cut the boy's neck. letting the blood flow from his neck. "What the?!" "Karasu Bunshin no Jutsu." Takeshi muttered. The boy's eyes opened wide in fear. He stood up, and pulled out another kunai. "Shigure Rei the Mizukage may not have had an obligation to help us "peasants", but Shigure Rei the Human, did." With that, he stabbed the kunai straight through the boy's heart. He followed the body's descent to the ground and slowly laid the body down on the ground, to create the least amount of noise possible. He also closed the boy's eyes so it would be less noticeable that he died, from far away. "s**t..." He mumbled to himself. He frowned again, and let his clone disappear. "That won't be good...shunshin." He "flickered" away from the area, so that it would look like he didn't do it. What he didn't know though, was that the teachers knew... Quote: "Takeshi Ryujiin." A teacher said his name, with a hint of disgust. "Please report to the teacher's gathering area. Now." Takeshi got up, and simply went out the door. The teacher glared at him, then continued with his lesson. When he got to the area, no one was there. Except for a woman wearing a white robe and....a triangular hat. "Nice hat." He said as he sat down. The woman looked at him. "So, you're the boy..." "Shigure Rei..." He repeated to himself again. "That woman...died?" He said to himself. He simply frowned, and headed out the door, to get ready to go to a funeral.

Axel was a little shocked at the news and so were all of his clones, but Axel didn't even show any emotions at all. Each clone stayed silent though but after a while they shook it off and remained in their positions. Axel simply stood there wondering how the Kage could die at a time like this. "well then... " Axel mumbled as he silently stood there with no expression on his face. Axel tapped his earpiece and received taps back from the clones simply telling him that they were all still in position and ready for anything.

As the new Mizukage announced the death of Shigure Rei the previous kage. Shimo did know the previous Mizukage but only for a few brief moments. Since most of his clan are native to the village they would occasionally meet with her and he would join on occasions.
The first day he spoke with her was when he was ten years old and his father went missing during a mission. After she spoke with his mother she consoled him stating that he would return. Sometime later his father did return just as she promised. Aside from that he never really spoke to her but would always greet each other in passing with a smile and formal greeting.
Despite the fact that he didn't know her very well he found it hard to believe that not only one, but several kages died. He knew that if that was true then the people responsible could do it again and had to be stopped. With his lack of training there isn't much he can do so his job was here.
As Mizukage Karin notified the safety protocols for war time and began to name the teams Shimo felt a bit nervous, so much he felt sick. When she announced that he would be on her team including Takeshi and another genin he has yet to meet he was a bit stunned. Not only was he on a team with the village leader but he was also on the team with someone he didn't seem like much of a conversationalist. He didn't mind Takeshi part, but he knew that the Mizukage would eventually have a hard time keeping track of both dues. With all this on his mind Shimo did as asked and when to his home and got dressed from the funeral.

It was heavy feeling that accumulated in his chest. That was strange. Genji had only spoken to Rei Shigure directly once before in his life, but she left an impact strong enough to strike grief in him at word of her death. Suddenly, all of her amazing qualities played in a highlight reel in his head.
The time he met her was about seven years ago. Genji and his family had an appointment to meet with the Mizukage about his older brother, six years Genji's senior, leaving the village to conduct research. Genji was still in the academy and even more shy than he is now. He sat motionlessly, squeezed together to make himself look as small as possible. The Mizukage was so vibrant and lovely. The day was beautifully sunny that day. As the light from the window struck her, she glowed cherubically.
She asked Genji about himself. When his father started to answer for him, Rei Shigure asked to here it from Genji. It was hard for Genji to work up the courage to speek to her. Struggling to hold eye contact, he did in soft voice introduce himself. She smiled at him and pated his shoulder, saying, "You're going grow up to be a fantastic shinobi someday."
Now Genji teared up. He was going to miss her. Now he took heed to those words she said to him those years ago. He knew he would be in safe and capable hands, for he would learn under her student, Zaine Tsukioma.

After Karin had told the people of the village what she had meant to tell them, she looked to the ground and walked passed everybody. Out of the office she went. To where? The place where she planned to make the memorial service, at the hill overlook. There, Shigure Rei can watch the village. Plus, it was the place where she had always visited, as did Karin. The site was beautiful, it was rarely visited, making it a quiet place. The best place to Rei to escape her duties as a Mizukage, for the short time she would spend at the hill. Now, she'd be able to rest at that spot.

"Mizukage has left the building, repeat, Mizukage has left the building..." Axel whispered into his earpiece and him and his clones left the room off to the funeral site seeing as he really didn't have any funeral attire to change into. Axel was used to working in a squad seeing as he had always worked with his clones during his recon missions. Axel and his clones followed the Mizukage sticking to the shadows as they made there way to the funeral site.

Ronmaru had already been distressed by the news, but being appointed as Zaine's student-his idol, had done double damage to him. Here he was, so shaken by the death of a Kage. "If she died, and she was denied her life, her dreams, and everything before her, why am I being treated to a sensei I've always wanted, why am I getting rewarded in the midst of such overpowering despair....?" He said in a near soliloquy style as he left to change.
Of course, he wouldn't allow himself to ponder this during the Shigure Rei's funeral....it wouldn't be right. He would hold his head high, and be proud for the life that the past Mizukage left. He would respect what would be her wishes, and not whine and pout about her death. He would continue on, just as she would have willed, and bring the Hidden Mist Village to a prosperous new era, even at the cost of his life.

Walking back into the office, Karin opened the back door to the bedroom of the kage. The door was on the left of the room upon entry, it was towards the back, on the same line that the desk sat upon. The first time Karin had stepped into the room after Rei's death. All of her items had been removed and replaced with Karin's. The sheets were the same, a teal blue that faded to a navy, then a black towards the foot of the bed.
Tugging lightly on her obi, it slipped off as Karin was then free of the tight restraints the belt held. A sigh escaped as she crawled onto the bed, rolled into a ball, and stared at the dresser in front of her sight, a picture sat on top of it. All of them. When times were brighter. So oblivious to their future. This made Karin let out a chuckle as she sat up, removing the kimono's layers, and scooting off the bed, changing into a black undershirt and a pair of black shorts.
Glided across the room, stopping at the window that was dry on Karin's side, frosted and wet on the out. Each breath the escaped, misted onto the window as Karin touched the cold of the glass and looked up to the sky. "Tomorrow I'll make sure to see my students, where ever they are... I'll start training them...I think? No, I WILL!" The Mizukage solidified her questions with that and nodded to Rei who watched from above, so Karin liked to believe. After this, Karin walked to the bed, spreading out on it and laying on her back. "Zaine..." she murmured as she stared at the ceiling. "I feel... I don't know..." Karin grumbled as she rolled on her side, and curled up ruffling her hair, while she lulled to sleep.

"Ah!" Karin gasped as she jumped up from her bed. Rushing to her dresser, and changing into her normal clothes. Her teal vestlike tanktop, her black shorts, a pair of black gloves with a metal plating on the top of her hand. The metal plating had her village crest on them so she need not have a headband. Then the elbow cuff she slipped on her left elbow. Then came her nearly endless black boots. Slipping her white belt with a various amount of things in it. Karin scooped her light blue scarf in her hands as she ran to the window. The weather how was it? Good weather, maybe a slight fog later in the afternoon, she guessed. Then she turned around and ran to the door. Checking everything was on her.
"My students, I feel like I've let them down," Karin said, hoping she could find them sometime soon. She looked out the window one last time before she rushed out the bedroom door. Locking it, and rushing out the office.
"Ohh, I wish we had one more jounin, but then he/she wouldn't have a student to teach...It'd be uneven...Hrrmmm" Ayumi said as she beat herself in the head to think. Maybe, they were at the snowy village.

Ronmaru slipped easily into the Mizukage's office, having only one target in mind; the suiton scroll. However, as he searched through the cabinets of scrolls, he found that he could only go up to B-Rank without setting off the alarms, mainly due to the fact that the seal was too powerful for him to break. After breaking the seal, and stealing said water scroll, he moved quickly from the area, now heading toward the gates to the village.

Shimo walked up to the office door and knocked twice. Waiting for a moment he looked around for his new friend who shouldn't be to far behind. Deciding that he waited long enough he opened the door and walked in. Bowing he said, "Excuse me Mizukage, I hope I'm not intruding on anything, but I'd like to make a request." Straightening up he smiled lightly trying to keep eye contact with the Mizukage.

Mist Gennin
Kai Aoi had trouble keeping up with Shimo, his new seem-to-be friend. Of course, he was later seen running to the Mizukage's office as Shimo opened the door of the office. Kai entered too behind Shimo and stopped to catch his breath. The Mist Gennin felt like he was going to melt because of exhaustion; he didn't expect that he was going that slow.
"I'm sorry for the late arrival, Shimo-sama." Kai apologized. "I didn't know you walked so fast!" He added and then looked around the office.

As Kai arrived out of breath Shimo lowered his headed abit embarrassed. Rubbing the back of his neck he said to him, "Sorry about that, I thought you were right behind me. I never had anyone following me so I thought my gourd slowed me down." Scanning the room he didn't notice anyone around. Turning to Kai he asked him, "I don't see the Mizukage around. I say we wait a moment and if no one comes we leave a note and head out. How about you? What do you thing?"
