It can be dangerous to use especially for an empath. If you use it I would suggest either doing so in a circle of sea salt or to annoint the participants with a rosemary or cedar oil. My advice is to be careful what you ask, don't ask things you don't want answers too, remember that spirits are like humans, each has a personality, some are nice, some are not, some tell the truth, others lie, some help you, some are messing with you.
If you opt not to use it I don't recommend burning it. Firstly if it is one of the cardboard jobs with the plastic planchette there are chemicals in the inks and plastics that are toxic, so not healthy for you or the environment to burn. You can sprinkle sea salt in the box with it and leave it in a closet or attic, sell it at a yard sale or use it as a Halloween decoration. If you wish to destroy the thing my suggestion would be to cut it up, soak it in salt water until it is a mush, then bury it, break up the planchette and throw it away.

As an empath I can tell you that the natural energy of the earth and life in general tends to drop around fall and winter. With less humidity the harder it is for the energy to carry through the air. Animals that are normally highly active are hibernating. So if you aren't feeling much energy the last few months that may be why.

That is the stupidest thing I have read. I know that Christians wouldn't use the ouija board then go pray because they believe magic to be a sin. But there are other religions that use magic that also pray! In fact most witches will tell you that spells are prayers with tools! I find your statement to be very offensive!

Also my advice on ouija boards is not to use them unless you are an experienced medium. I have had experiences with spirits screwing with me. My recommendation is get rid of it. I burned mine but sprinkling it with sea salt and throwing it away sounds like a good idea.

there is no harm in using it as long as you respect it if your going to use it to scare your friends then you will attracted those type of spirits to you just surround yourself with positive energies and you'll be fine biggrin just imagine your self surrounded by a white light and yes praying works too also ask your guides to only allow spirits of a high vibration to communicate with you

Don't use it. My mom used it a couple times, and even though she and her companions snatched some pretty hramless spirits, some were pissed at being disturbed. One actually moved a lamp and hit it on one of the companions' head!
I'm all up for meeting with the supernatural, but try to find safer means. The last thing you need is to call something that is not even a spirit.

My personal advice, is to not use it - just put it away, give it away, whatever means of passing it on you have. I have and can use them, but much like other experienced mediums, I am no enthusiest when it comes to this form of communication. Unlike other methods, these boards are doorways which open up your home to WHATEVER may decide to use them. Yes, you may be focusing on a particular spirit or entity, however, there is no guarantee that that is what you'll attract. I'm not saying that you will definitely be inviting something negative into your house, but the risks are very high. You also can't rely on it as an accurate method of communication for the very reason that there are a crap ton of mischevious spirits and entities who do and will lie. So all in all, I feel it is not even worth it - the risks involved paired with the fact that you are just as likely to get false answers as true answers.

If you are determined to become familiar with this method of higher communication, as someone new to it, I would highly recommend finding a local EXPERIENCED medium, and perhaps working with her or him for a while before attempting such a thing solo and in your own home. That's my personal advice.
