Hey all! I made a quick Q&A about this idea. Let me know what you all think!Note: This is just guild event ideas, so nothing here is set in stone as being apart of the guild event yet! If you have something you feel should be changed, or would like to provide your input on something else, feel free to post in the thread! Thanks! heart Q: How it would work?
A thread would be made (it hasn't been made yet), most likely by Team Sprocket Zen, in which only during the period the thread is open people would be able to make one post to receive an item. This means that all people, regardless of when their birthday is, would be able to make a post to receive an item. The following would be required to receive one item during the Birthday Event: 1 post. No more than one post allowed. No more than one item given out per person.
What kind of post seems like it's up for discussion at the moment. I like Thilath's idea more than my original idea with what the postings should contain, but I'll see what others think before giving a 100% approval. xD
Q: So will it be like one thread per week/month/year for birthdays?Nope! The birthday event would be a single thread in guild. The thread would be open for a certain period and then closed. It will not be an ongoing guild event - it will be a guild event only open for a specific time. ((Think back to the October Give-Away Event. I like this Idea - I have two comments/recomendations
firstly I think you should have to post your birth-date in your message to qualify and second (dependant on the first) the first post should have a list of all the sprocket birthdays ^.^
..
... also an EI birthday party would be sock-rock-able!

Thanks! wink What if...hmm...we must keep this event going...your current one, your bosslyness... ninja I think the price range should be roughly 5k-10k. I think that seems fair. 3nodding Unless, of course Zenny-boo doesn't have much gold: 2k-8k. I like even intervals that way its less complicated. 3nodding Also, I think it should be open at least two weeks. 3nodding Also, I think with the one post, it should be a person stating their birthday. 3nodding

For the EI Birthday Party though, I think we should all dress in "I Am" poses from different EIs and party around. xd If that's all right? sweatdrop Open to suggestions as well. biggrin My only concern is how many people would end up participating. Depending on how many participate, it may drastically change how much gold the mule would need to spend to get items for the guild event. In addition, most of the items that the mule has right now are probably under 1,000 gold... This is the list of items it has to give out at this very moment. If all the items given out were worth 5k-10k, I would be without a doubt having to donate to the mule some extra gold to it to make sure each person that participated got something from the guild event. @_@ Hmmm...Let's try some math with this. There's 265 members members that will be able to participate if they choose to. (Not including Newzpop Reporta Tyro Bong, Team Sprocket Boss Tyro, Team Sprocket Zen in those numbers) At our last guild event, roughly 40+ people participated. If we put the minimum at 1k *, that means there would be a minimum of 40k-50k spent on prizes. This doesn't leave the situation open, however, that more people apart of guild decide to participate. In the hypothetical situation (that is highly unlikely) that all members participated, it would be a total of at least 265k on items. (That's a lot! gonk ) If that arose to be the case, I would undoubtedly have to make a donation to the mule to make sure it had enough gold to get the items needed for the guild event. In any case regardless of minimum and max worth of the items given out, it is best to be prepared for what could be a lot of participants....@_@ [edit] Possible solutions? Feel free to suggest your own solutions! :
1. There could be a list of items supplied in the guild event thread as to what it can give out. The list would have relatively inexpensive items listed on it (like the October-Give Away Event). 2. There could be sign-ups for the guild event prior to the guild event taking place. Only those that signed up would be able to participate. This could mean that I could plan accordingly as to how many items are needed to be given out. The difference with this compared to the original idea is that the sign ups would run for about a week, and the items would be given out roughly the last two days of sign ups. Once again the items would most likely be relatively inexpensive. I would then donate gold/items to the mule for any additional gold/items it needs towards the guild event. What do you guys think about this situation? Also, I like where you are going with your EI Birthday idea. x3 For the time being though, lets focus on figuring out this guild event first! smile We'll definitely discuss your idea as a guild later on! heart heart heart ___ * : Which means most of the items it will give out will have to be purchased with the gold it has on it specifically for this guild event and/or gold I give to it to use for the guild event.

Another way it could be approached is that the items could be a maximum worth of 1000 gold instead of a minimum. I'm not sure if people would want a item under 1000 as a birthday-ish gift though, huh? sweatdrop Hmm.

I like the idea of the mule giving out tiaras for the guild event. It could be really cute~ The tiaras from Barton Jewelers look nice and are only 600 gold each. Here's a list of them:

I know greed is not nice and stuff, but if I were to participate in this, I'd like to get an item that I'd actually want to wear and frankly, most crowns and tiaras are useless in that regard. They would be purely symbolic gifts and really, who needs that on Gaia? If money is an issue, I could donate to the mule up to around 140k gold (as that's all I have right now).
