"Like I said, it's fine." He said shaking his head, "No I'm quite fine on my own...... Uh.... Thanks for the offer." He wasn't one for politeness so it felt odd saying thanks. He shook his head, a good shake that made his blindfold ends whip around. He then cocked his head, still feeling the itch. "Anything particular you're looking for while you're here?"

"Okay.." Ashy mumbled, almost sure he was only saying that to be nice. "If you say so." She shrugged as he declined her help - though she had a feeling he was just too proud, or solitary, to accept it. Shaking her head, she quickly remembered she'd have to use her voice to be understood, "Not really, just wandering I guess..." But she was looking for something. Stealth. A place to throw off...him.

Harvey nodded before going at the itch again. It was really bugging him. He didn't really believe her when she said she wasn't looking for anything. Just something about her tone of voice. There was something up with her.... but it wasn't any of his business. "Well this is a good place to wander.... easy to get lost too. Not too many landmarks here."

Ashy was beginning to wonder why he was scratching so much; she'd rarely had itches that badly, if ever, in the East - and not at all in the North. "It is" She agreed, "But I'm only concerned about trodding into some un-friendly territory. I hear there's a lot of that up here, what with harsh conditions and all" Her rambling mode was starting to come out - she felt more at-ease around a helix that didn't have all of his senses; less like he was a threat. More comfortable, in a way.

Harvey finally got rid of the itch but he wondered why it had itched that much. Usually he only got little itches. He shrugged it off and nodded. "Yeah there is lots of un-friendly territory here.... but the main pack that was behind that is gone. I don't know what happened to them but you don't hear about them anymore." He said, "So it's not so bad as in the past."

"Well," Ashy smiled sheepishly, "I'm glad I didn't wander into unfriendly territory," She remarked, giving an intentionally audible thump of her tail. "That's always good to hear," She huffed a little sigh of relief. "So then is it a good idea to travel up here alone, in that case?"

Harvey nodded. "Yeah it's a good thing." He said tilting his head instead of shrugging, "Yes and no. It really depends on the area. If you go into a claim territory you need to watch out for which pack has claimed it. Some are okay with just one helix passing through while having a thing against groups. Others are the opposite. They'll cause trouble for the lone traveler but leave a group alone."

It was starting to strain Ashy to keep up the conversation, so she only really listened to bits and pieces. "Well since I don't know what packs treat loners how.." She began, "Perhaps a tour is in order? Besides, I think that those who pick on loners wouldn't bother two, and two won't count as a large group...." Ashy suggested, tipping her head. It might be nice not to travel by herself for once.

Harvey fell silent thinking about her question. A tour would be nice but he was hardly the one to give it.... but he wasn't leery enough of her to refuse. "If you don't mind being led by a blind helix I don't mind giving you a little tour.... oh. Also don't mind that I won't quite know where I'm going." He replied finally.

"In a new area, wandering by oneself is worse than being blind," She offered with a smile, padding closer to him slowly, but not too close. "Of course not. I probably stumble over things just as much as you do, for not paying attention. Maybe more," She let the parting of her lips be heard while she grinned at him, to make it known that she was grinning. After a moment, Ashy had a thought, "Thank you." She had said abruptly, "For showing me around."

Harvey's ears twitched as they caught the sound of Ashy moving closer and smiling. "I suppose so..... but I don't think you're as bad as me when it comes to stumbling." He said barking a laugh, "Don't thank me yet. If we manage to actually make it somewhere and unscathed then you can." With that he began walking in a random direction. He constantly sniffed the air to make sure he wasn't going to run into a tree or another Helix. No matter what he said about how bad he was with stumbling and running into things he still tried his best to avoid obstacles.

Ashy laughed with the other helix, "We shall see, friend." and trotted after him. In all honesty, his slow pace had irrtated her a little bit at first. However, she got used to it quickly, and didn't let it show. Always being on the move herself often made the wolf frantic to get to the next area, and a fast-pace resulted naturally from it. Shaking her head, Ashy shrugged her shoulders; once again forgetting that he couldn't see, "I will anyway," She decided, not trying to be rude, "Because not many would risk it in the first place,".

Harvey was going a lot slower than usual but that was due to him not knowing the area. "Hm.... I suppose we shall see....." He fell silent wondering if they were already at the point where they had become friends. He didn't know since he didn't have any other friends. Only Yahto but he was more like a brother.
"You'd be surprised at how many would risk it. Even here. There are lots of helixes who get bored and will do odd things like this just for something to do." He replied moving to avoid a deep patch of snow. He also had to jump over a fallen log.
