When I was younger, around the age of 4-5 My dad would blast L.A. Women and, Riders on the Storm eagerly telling me Jim was the lizard king, (which made so sense at the time) I guess it just stuck with me, then 4 years ago i started listening to them again : )

Makes me jealous when people say they got into this stuff way before I did. Ha ha, he told you that Jim was the Lizard King? I wouldn't have gotten that either so no worries.

As long as you became a fan, that's all that matters! =D That's surprising that your mom loves rock n' roll, but doesn't like The Doors. There is always that one band in our favorite genre's that we don't care for. The Doors are amazing though.

Jim is totally awesome though surprised I'm not sure if my Mom really has a problem with him or not. We were talking about him in the car the other day and stuff. She doesn't seem to try to change topics if it's a good convo xd of course I can't see her saying, "I love Jim Morrison!!!!" or anything, but I don't think he bothers her that bad. xd

There is this old movie called the Lost Boys (not lost boys 2 that is the gayest thing ever!) and when you're strange was on it I asked my grampa what the band's name was and he told me it was the Doors, this was like a few years ago and then on my Tony Hawk game it had break on through in it

I've never seen it. I think there might've been some Aerosmith in there, too, from what I heard in my other guild if I remember correctly. Although, I could be wrong.

I guess it's probably through the radio (I listen to the classic rock stations) and also the fact that I really like The Cult who were massively influenced by The Doors made me go and check them out.

That's good to know =) We don't have any good rock stations in our area. Heck, I don't think we have one at all. I have to listen to them online.

When my aunt was having back surgery she was living with my mom and I and she's got an awesome taste in music. She introduced me to the Doors, and showed me the Doors movie. Needless to say I fell in love.

Aquatic_blue Demonshadow79 For me, i had heard them on the radio but really didnt know who they were at the time. After hearing the name, The Doors, i wasnt sure still who they were. Then one day i was at walmart and i saw the movie "The Doors" for 5$ i thought "Hmmm." So i got it, watched it, and i was blown away. What struck me so much wasnt the movie, but the music, it was this sound unlike anything id ever heard. I thought it was fantastic. A week later i bought "Waiting for the Sun" and loved it! That's cool surprised usually with a movie, it's the characters and plotline and stuff that people really pay attention to instead of the music. That's good that you picked out the music and all =] that's the best part. Indeed. The music was the best part of that movie.

Yup yup ^_^ they picked a lot of their really catchy songs so it definitely was the best part considering I didn't care for the movie much.
