Arts: Dancing Lights and Ravenous Shadows (Light and Shadow Manipulation. Not very well trained, yet.)

Physical Description: Jaden stands tall at six feet two inches, and his slender frame only magnifies this effect. To add to the oddity of his appearance, his hair is a bright silver tone and his eyes are a deep red. The silver hair is said to be a trait of his family that accompanies their inherent knack for the manipulation of light and shadows, whilst his red eyes are yet another trait, though rarer, that stems from the Demonic blood that still lingers within the bloodline. Jaden is commonly seen wearing a black uniform with gold trimmings, which gives him an almost regal air.

Alignment: Neutral.

Psychological Profile: Jaden is intelligent, polite, and capable. Unfortunately, he is also lazy and somewhat cynical. He won't say what he thinks your true motives are most of the time, but it leaves him unable to trust others easily. His mind works logically and analytically, and his ability for learning magic is above par. In spite of these fact, he doesn't apply himself very well to goals and has very little motivation when it comes to classwork.
Although he prefers not to fight, Jaden will not hesitate to do so when he deems it necessary. He will analyze his opponent and their skills as best he can during combat, and attempt to use any weaknesses he detects against them in a cold and efficient manner.

Past Records: Jaden was born into wealth, his family being that of a nobel linage. From his younger years, he was versed in various subjects, tutored by some of the most renowned instructors, and taught by only the best in magic. Rather, it should be said, his family tried to do those things for him. Jaden simply never showed interest. It was obvious that he was learning a few things, and that he had surprising potential for magic, yet he never followed through on the assignments he was given. Those teachers, tutors, and legendary spell caster had all given up on try to train such an "unmotivated, inactive pupil." For years Jaden just lived in the family mansion, lounging and lazing around. Finally, when Jaden turned 20, his parents grew tired of this and sent him off to Ria High in hopes that the school environment would spur some sort of work ethic in him.

Combat Equipment: Jaden carries a pocket watch in his tunic pocket, which when opened turns into a golden glove with three silver claws attached to it on right hand. Although these materials are normally very malleable, it has been enchanted to have the resilience of steel.

Additional Equipment: Jaden wears a pair of glasses that filter the light passing through them. This is to protect his vision from his own Dancing Lights spells, such as Flash.

Combative and Magical Prowess:
Dancing Lights - Light Manipulation - Advanced Beginner (mastery of basic skills)
Dancing Lights is a Light element style, one which his Family Line in known for. This allows him to manipulate, and even generate, light at will. Manipulation is the easier of the two, as it requires less skill and energy to perform. However, it is limited by the light available around him.
There are two primary forms of generated light; loose and coherent. Loose light is light as we commonly know it; it cannot be touched, but if it is bright enough it can cause burning. Loose light is also used to create visual illusions. Generating loose light is not too difficult or draining, but the brighter the light is the less true that becomes. Coherent light is where the light particles are 'sticking' together to form solid objects or create a more physical effect than loose light. For example, he can generate coherent light to form a sword or a platform, as well as 'throw' a ball of coherent light which can cause a small, explosive effect. Unlike loose light, coherent light cannot generate heat or illusions no matter how much energy is put into it, as it loses its heat properties and it can only produce a white light. Furthermore, generating coherent light is harder to do, takes more energy, and cannot be maintained for very long at any Beginner's level of training. Coherent light spells can usually be identified by their names, since it is common to have the word "photon" within the spell name.

Currently Known Spells:
-Light: This creates a constant glow from either hand. Used to illuminate dark places.
-Ray: A beam of loose light that can singe the skin. Only lethal with prolonged exposure.
-Flash: Causes a sudden, bright flash of light that can temporarily blind anyone facing the caster.
-Light-Bending Wall: This spell can bend light around the caster, making them almost entirely invisible. However, this spell only works in one direction at a time at roughly a 90˚ angle in the direction the caster chooses. There is some visual distortion caused by this spell, so those with careful eyes can still spot the general form of the caster's body.
-Photon Dagger Slash: Creates a two-foot long blade that lasts for about three seconds, or less if the caster chooses. The blade cuts as though it was made of metal, and has a perfectly sharp edge. This spell can be cast on either or both hands.
-Photon Ball: A small sphere, about three inches in diameter, is formed in the caster's hand. It can then be 'thrown' in a straight line, and upon impact will create a very small but concussive blast that can knock an average person back and easily cause bruising.


Ravenous Shadows - Shadow Manipulation - Untapped Potential (not yet accessed)
Ravenous Shadows is a Shadow element style that is also a Family trait, though a rarer one. This allows the power's wielder to manipulate shadows, and at higher levels even create them in spite of the lighting. As with Dancing Lights, manipulation is easier than generation. Darkness is simply the absence of light, meaning that Dancing Lights can create the appearance of darkness. Ravenous Shadows, however, is a much more aggressive and firm style than Dancing Lights.
Similar to the above style, there are two forms; loose and coherent. Loose shadows are not inherently dangers at all. They can be used to create more convincing illusions and blind a foe by blocking light from their eyes, but is otherwise harmless. Loose shadows are also much better at creating the 'invisible' effect than loose light.
Coherent shadows are where the real displays of power begin, and cannot be accessed by anything less than an Advanced Student; even when one reaches that level it is difficult to do. These shadows are like solid walls of darkness and tend to move in a snake-like manner, giving the appearance that they are 'consuming' the light, hence the style's name. Coherent shadows not only have a strong physical state, but because they consume light they tend to generate an intense cold to anything caught within them. Commonly used as a mid-range, whip-like weapon or a strong barrier to protect from attack, coherent shadows are considered a very combative element.


Note: The different 'levels' in order of lowest to highest are: Untapped Potential, Beginner, Apprentice, Student, Caster, Wielder, and Master. All but Untapped Potential have sub-ranks of New and Advanced.

Unfavorable Traits: His intelligence sometimes generates a false sense of power, often leaving him off guard when an opponent is at the same level as him or higher. Being untrusting, Jaden will usually fight alone. When he must be part of a team, though, he will refuse to follow orders thinking that his way is best.

Preferences: Laying lazily in the sunlight, candies, and reading.

Annoyances: Clueless people, too much noise, and anything that requires him to do work.

D.O.B. December 21st; he was born on the precise instant of the solstice and so only celebrates it then, not the day itself.

Race: Human Necromancer ((only human by a technicality))

Arts: Necromancy / Illusion

Character Looks: Varon stands close to six feet in height, his figure accurately described as both tall and gaunt. The slimness of his appearance and his cheekbones being the prominent feature gave him an unnerving quality. This was further enhanced by the paleness of his skin- very much to the point of having reached a constant state of apparent sickness. His short and somewhat bushy hair held no color of its own while his eyes shone an unsettling shade of red- he could quite easily come across as albino, if only his skin was not just pale, but contained slight shades of lifeless gray instead of a fleshy pink.

While this was a rare sight in-and-of itself, it was something you’d occasionally see among the practitioners of Necromancy- when they don’t guise themselves under an illusion of health and normalcy, particularly more common among those who would not only venture too far and much too deep, but willing to alter themselves and let their necrotic energies run amok inside their bodies.

With the help of his mastery of Necromancy, Varon managed to sustain the life energies of his body and take control of its decay. Because of this, he’d grown very resistant to the withering effects of time and despite having lived for 52 years, he would be the physical equivalent of a 21-year old human.

Some of his less prominent features were the shadowed patch of skin that clung underneath his eyes and an exotic point at the farthest edge of his eyes, both of which still somewhat contributed to that already frightening manifestation.

Varon commonly wore attire that consisted of a dark red, long-sleeved shirt that lay over a pair of fine black pants with a belt, a pair of socks and tailor-made moccasin shoes of a matching hue. This expensive-looking set of clothing clearly put him as a staple of high society. A well-made black cloak that would usually be left unbuttoned was always worn on top of his clothing, the back showing the crest of the Necroversity- a black skull with two skeletal arms crossing underneath it, one hand holding a severed eye between its thumb and index finger while the other was closed over a scroll sealed in dripping red wax: a covenant made with death showing their elaborate relation with it.

Allignment: Evil with an occasional indifferent neutral stance.

Personality: In a normal setting, Varon would come across as a man of little words- only speaking when something would interest him or when there was an alterior motive. His choice of words would often reflect his status in high, educated social circles. He’d be disinterested at best and would reward a tenacious presence with torments by means of Necromancy and Illusion to scare them away.

Ever the sadist, Varon relishes the power his school of magic offers him and isn’t afraid to use it against the poor soul that finds itself alone and in his presence.


Having been considered a prodigy in conventional circles, he soon began to develop a sense of narcissism and superiority to his fellow creatures. Once he discovered a way to extend his own lifespan by fusing with his own necrotic energy, the separation from humanity had been sealed. Varon would think of his former peers as things that would face an inevitable end and should be reminded of it. This brought back memories of legends of powerful necromantic figures that tormented the races of the ancient world for thousands of years: a most fitting goal for a man of his character.

History: Varon’s home lay in the Italian countryside of Campania. He was the son of an ancient clan that shaped the history of the region since classical history, one whose fertile culture could be seen throughout the region, though some masquerading as that of another. This family of proud nobles sustained the custom of internal marriage- large enough where one would be set up with distant cousins and thus avoid the risk of genetic repercussions. His parents, however, belonged to different families altogether- breaking the ancient traditional of genetic purity. The mother fell in love with an eccentric, but brilliant professor at the University of Avignon. Fathering an only child, the baby would be separated from his mother shortly after birth- the father dragged away to a manor house dungeon, beaten and framed while his lover was kidnapped by her own family. In an attempt to restore the impurity, the head of the Vamori charter in France raped the woman and impregnated her; after giving birth, she was killed and the baby sent to the Campagnia branch. Official records showed that the firstborn died shortly after childbirth while the other, Varon, lived the privileged life of the noble household.

Varon Vamori was raised by his mother’s favorite uncle, who was the head of the regional charter and a renowned scholar. His education soon sparked an appetite for knowledge- one that quickly lead to a private investigation of the arcane and obscure arts of Necromancy. It became clear that the child was expertly adept at magic: the obscure and fearful nature of his practice triggered the banishment that would serve as the stone that created an avalanche. Varon took to the city, earning the acceptance and a scholarship at a renowned magical institution by a simple demonstration of skill and oratory. Having earned the hospitality of the headmaster, Varon extended his studies at a whim- learning only that which peaked his interests and ignoring the system rule for graduation requirements. Tomes of dark and illusory magic found themselves vulnerable to his gaze and the source of inspiration for private research applications that would grant him the position of an Institutional Researcher. By then, Varon exhausted his pool of knowledge and looked for alternate sources- Ria found itself at the top of his list and so applications were sent and approved. He transferred under a research license- school provided lodging and even paid for his contributions so long as his research continued to bear fruit. The only downside to this contract was that due to a shortage in personnel, he would oversee the execution of several events- to his chagrin that would include a recently upcoming “Holiday Boo Bash”… painful sacrifices were made.

Any weapons/armor you have: While lacking lethal weapons, his magic aside, Varon sports a long staff made of an enchanted, black volcanic glass carved in the shape of a withered arm with a clawed hand grasping a similarly-made orb with a dark-green cloud swirling in chaotic streams around it. This may release the orb and cause it to disappear- leaving the clawed hand to be used as an enchanted weapon. The same could be said of the sharpened, opposite end of the staff.

Any items you have: Varon carries a small number of glass orbs containing materials to aid his spellcasting. This is done in order to keep the amount of energy required to spend in a particular spell at a lower cost; however, as soon as these run out, they would require more energy to be invested in order to compensate for these objects. Aside from these, he is known to sport a few scrolls and tomes of magic, which would be consulted for arcane knowledge that would be helpful in an anticipated situation or periods of inactivity

Any battle skills/magical powers you have: His magical repertoire consists of Necromantic spells- which deal with life, death and unlife. He could animate the physical remains or gain control of the ethereal entity that might reside apart from this. This would also encompass spells that directly damage the life-essence of a being to cause harm or disrupt the body itself by afflicting it with fatigue and diseases. He may also trap or directly manipulate any soul that is unfortunate enough to cross his path.

Another branch of magic Varon would eagerly adopt is that of Illusion. He would often times combine both in order to create an elaborate torment which his victims would suffer often broken past the point of insanity. He could gain access to the senses through the very mind that processes them- feeding it false information that would appear to be as real and often as convincing as anything despite its impossibility, thus creating the effects of a delusion. The doorway to the mind would be particularly vulnerable through fear- the intense primal fear often brought about unprepared souls suddenly finding themselves facing a manifestation of death itself.

Character Flaws: Varon's narcissism and feeling of superiority separated him from the other creatures. He no longer finds that he can relate to them and is very prone to seeing others as dispenseable tools that are meant to achieve a greater goal- his own. While he may form a companionship and elaborate plans revolving around it, Varon sees it as a means to achieve his ends and thus may be discarded either once the task has been done, or the plan falls to pieces.

Among his greatest flaw is his sadism: he enjoys playing with his victims more than dealing with them outright. Instead of killing them, Varon would torment them to his satisfaction- usually until their psyche breaks under the onslaught.

The depth that he has immersed himself in the dark arts has made him vulnerable to any sort of divine magic. Even that which may be used to heal the common person has a slight adverse effect. Vice-versa, spells that deal with the dark energies are more prone to help than harm him.

Name Meaning/Nicknames:: The false name that she uses currently for her driver's license and signing checks is Tawny McQueen, an homage to Steve McQueen, one of her favorite old actors. As for nicknames, she'll go by any shortening of her name really; Ishy, Izzy, Isma, Mare, Ish etc., she's heard them all.

Age:: 800+ (Looks to be in her late twenties to very early thirties, she's passed as low as 21 and as high as 35))

Race:: A Semi-Immortal Human; she doesn't age and has regenerative abilities.

Arts:: Swordsmanship (Battōjutsu/iaidō) and Aiki-Jujitsu (aikidō)

Character Looks:: Ismaire isn't exactly beautiful per say, she has more of an "exotic" look to her. She sports natural blood-red hair and a bright orange eye. Pale, creamy skin covers toned limbs and a flat stomach, hardened by years of repetitive and rigorous training. Her skin is textured with scars and burn marks from centuries of fighting and life in general. Ismaire also has a few simple tattoos, including the insignia of the British East India Company on her left shoulder and a pair of crossed swords on her right wrist. Hidden by her hair; on the back of her neck is a black, brand-like mark. The skin surrounding the mark has a grayish pallor, almost as if it has never seen sunlight.

Ismaire's philosophy on clothing is comfort over style, she'd rather wear something she could fight in at a moments notice rather than something restricting, but stylish. The only time Ismaire really makes an effort to dress up is when she makes her all-too-frequent visits to Kailea's court in the capital city; Arlade. Ismaire typically wears a maroon corset-like top and tight black bike shorts under a long black slitted skirt and a long pale blue vest with mauve trim and separate sleeves. Her legs are covered eith fishnet stockings and black boots with violet trim.

Alignment:: Neutral; you kind of had to be when you were a mercenary, you were loyal to whoever was signing your weekly paycheck.

Personality:: Ismaire lives under Bushido, the old-fashioned samurai code of honor and respect, she's very big on respect. Not social by nature, Ismaire would rather be an observer more than an active participant. That doesn't mean she's aloof, she's a lot more open around people she knows (her students), showing a dry wit and a sarcastic sense of humor. She's fairly easy going, not taking rude comments, or any comments, seriously. A solitary person by nature, Ismaire prefers a good glass of wine and a book or music, than a social gathering. Ismaire has a passion for the past, she loves old music, especially music from the fifties and sixties, her favorite movies are the old silent films from the twenties, which were the very pinnacle of movie magic in her opinion (her favorite movie is Nosferatu, but she also likes Belo Lugosi's version of Dracula released in 1931). Her grasp on the trends of the modern world is loose and often rather humorous, she tends to reference obscure things from the eighties that people (kids especially) wouldn't know.

She's very informal when it comes to the classroom and while addressing students, preferring to be called by her first name by her students. She treats every student in a respectful way, she'd treats them like people, not just as a job. She's extremely relaxed and goes at her own pace while teaching, not worrying about things like due dates or having every kid know something by the end of the week, she goes through life at her own pace and imparts the same lifestyle into her classroom. Although she isn’t exactly the most secure person to be around, people look to her; they should tread carefully. There's something in her that's dangerous and vicious, that functions on instinct and has the soldier’s mindset of kill or be killed; great to have on your side, but terrifying to witness, let alone face.

History::
__The Beginning__
Ismaire was born in Morocco along the Mediterranean Coast to a father of Spanish decent and a mother native to Arabia. Her father was a lowly grunt swordsmen of some talent while her mother was a merchant and a shrewd negotiator. Ismaire learned swordsmanship from her father, whom she was very close with. Her relationship with her mother was much more strained, she was a very pessimistic woman who constantly told her daughter that daddy may not come home that night. Ismaire joined the same guild as her father when she turned sixteen, honing her swordsmanship alongside him. When a war began between France and Spain for control of the spice trade in her region, she jumped at the chance and fought for the Spanish, one of the only female soldiers in the entire contingent. She saw what life was really like for the first time during that war, that all of us, from the peasant to the king were destined to die in the same pitiful way... alone, cold... rotting away or falling apart at the seams. It terrified her.

Ismaire joined an expedition to the new world led by a man named Juan Ponce de León y Figueroa, who was searching for a place of legend that had been spoken about since the beginning of time... a Fountain of Youth . Ismaire volunteered to stay in the New World along with a few dozen others after the year-long expedition proved fruitless. They searched tirelesslyt for months, even after learning the Native tongue, they were none closer to finding it then when they had started. Ismaire poured through her memories, trying to remember any obscure legends she had heard as a child from the guild members that had traveled to faraway places. She remembered, one day, while guarding one of the city entrances, a man who returned from Cathay, or China as we call it nowadays... claimed that the native people had told of him of a creature called the Fenghuang, or Phoenix. The man claimed this bird was immortal and was reborn from it's own ashes when killed, and anyone who managed to consume these ashes in the brief window of time they were around would gain the phoenix's power. Ismaire managed to find the bird after almost 10 years of searching and almost dieing of typhus in the process. Little did she know that the immortal creature had been tainted/possessed by a being known as Imona, The Outsider of Shadows.

Ismaire spent the first decade or so of her new, immortal life wandering the world in a daze. She journeyed all over the New and Old World, never staying in any one place for too long, lest others start suspecting things; the hardest was during the witch scares of the 1700s. During her travels, she lived many different lives and lived in many places; she was a noblewoman in the French Court living in the Palace of Versailles for a few years, going by the name of Lady Maria. Another of her more noteworthy stops was the isolated country of Japan where she furthered her swordsmanship under numerous instructors; the years spent in Japan were the longest she had ever stayed in one country.

__Disaster__
As technology advanced, it became both easier and harder for Ismaire to hide her curse, with debut of T.V. and telephones, it was much harder to stay anonymous. On the other hand, obtaining a new identity through forged paperwork and fake I.D. was easy if you knew the right people. In an effort to remain out of the public eye, Ismaire joined the Italian military during World War II as a man, when her gender was discovered, she joined the much less picky Soviets. Following the Allied victory, Ismaire was left in a quandary, return to America and attempt to pass off as an independent young woman, or go back to traveling the world? Naturally, she chose the later.

Ismaire journeyed to the small nation of Tia'Miral in 2XXX, where she again enlisted in the army and rose through the ranks to become a personal confidant and bodyguard to King Evel and his fifteen year old daughter, Princess Kailea. The royal line of Tia'Miral housed people who were blessed with the powers of light magic, never skipping a generation until Kailea came along, she was barren of any magical powers and, to the shock of the councilmen; was still proclaimed to be heir to the throne.

Scheming politicians decided that it'd be best do away with both the King and the young Princess, leaving the country to be ruled by the council. They hired a band of ex-war veterans to snipe the car carrying the royal family while they were on their way to their winter palace, planning to place the blame on icy roads and a turn taken too fast. Ismaire hurried both the King and the Princess out of the car and into the forest after the driver had been sniped through the window. Snipers positioned in the trees took potshots at the escaping group and hit the King Evel in the chest, he told Ismaire to take the distraught Kailea to the palace, and if possible, to make sure nothing happened to her. Despite Kailea's protests, the two hurried deeper into the forest until Ismaire heard the sound of two gunshots; she leaped in front of the Princess and took a bullet to her heart and brain... and... the world went black.

Strangely, Ismaire woke to screams from Kailea, saying "Not... be dead, she can't be dead", while the assassins closed in on the Princess, her vulnerable form hovering over the body of her dead bodyguard. To all of their amazement, Ismaire rose and ran forwards at an inhumane speed and sliced both men right in half, their dieing screams attracting the rest of their squad....

Ismaire wiped the streams of blood and sweat out of her eyes and turned to face Kailea, the girl was sitting on the snow-covered ground, hands drenched in Ismaire's blood. She gaped at her savior, a look of pure horror on her face.

Ismaire offered the girl her hand, "Are you alright Princess?" she tried to speak soothingly, the girl had witnessed a near massacre and was holding up remarkably well in Ismaire's opinion.

Kailea pointed straight at Ismaire's face, "Y-your... e-e-eye... i-it's..oh-" her voice failed her.

Ismaire frowned, and lifted her sword to peer at her reflection on the blade... she dropped the blade. Her pupil was gone, as was her iris, replaced by a strange black symbol that seemed to pulse with an inhuman energy..."


Tearing strips of fabric from her shirt, Ismaire wrapped up her eye and managed to escort the Princess safely to the palace, where she received numerous medals and awards in the weeks to come for her deeds, much to her displeasure. In a state of panic over what had happened in the clearing, Ismaire tore out her own eye and made Kailea swore never to mention her eye to anyone, ever.

Not surprisingly, Ismaire left the palace and her job behind as soon as she was sure Kailea was safe...

__A New Beginning__
Ismaire returned to the States and moved into a small apartment in New York, living off her remaining money earned in the service of the Tia'Miral royal family. Boredom threatening to consume her, Ismaire chanced upon a new purpose for her life while strolling through the Metropolitan Museum of Art; she saw a portrait of herself, painted during the French Revolution. Ismaire began to search the world for any records of her past; paintings, statues, dresses, housing deeds, and the like; she hired people to "acquire" these objects for her to store away.

Unfortunately, finding people who were willing to break into and steal from heavily-guarded museums wasn't cheap and she soon found her money reserves running low. She needed a job. Ismaire began applying at numerous universities to become a history professor, one day a letter from Queen Kailea arrived in the mail. Kailea had managed to track her down and sent her information concerning Ria High and how it was "different" from a normal university. Ismaire applied for a position teaching swordsmanship and was promptly hired, forcing Ismaire to pack up her things and journey to her new job... teaching high school kids.

Any weapons/armor you have:: Ismaire's primary weapon is a katana with a plain black sheath and handle; the blade was made for her while she was a POW in Japan during World War II by an aging blademaker who happened to be the father of the general who captured her. The man had been one of the few remaining masters of the dying art of katana forging and gave Ismaire the sword and a rudimentary kendō education as a parting gift. Her secondary weapon is a non-lethal Iron Chinese War Fan that Ismaire uses in her aikidō techniques; it's more of a defensive weapon.

Ismaire relies more on her ability to dodge than she does armor to survive fights. She's more of a Glass Cannon than a tank. However, her corset is inlaid with steel mesh to stop knife attacks.

Any items you have:: On her belt next to a small sheath for her fan is a small waterproof leather pouch. Inside she carries a few basic essentials; a cheap BiC lighter, a pack of clove cigarettes, a notepad and pencil, cash, her passport, her Ria High Teaching I.D., and her cellphone; a black flip phone with a camera and a Benny Hill ring tone.

Any battle skills/magical powers you have::

Battōjutsu/iaidō- A sword style that utilizes the sheath of a sword or katana to deliver quick blows before the enemy has time to react/counter.

Aiki-Jujitsu/aikidō- A counter-defensive maneuver that uses an opponents own weight against them; she uses a fan in her style. A master of this martial art can counter blows no matter the weight difference between them and the attacker.

Imona's Blessing- The influence of the Outsider Imona gives Ismaire a general boost to her speed, strength, reflexes, and general constitution.

Mental Wall- The most useful ability bestowed to Ismaire by Imona; her mind can be influenced in any way. Mind control and mind reading does not work on Ismaire; all forays into her mind by a third-party are met with a cold, inky, nothingness. This mind shield also protects her from illusions and veils meant to conceal used by enemies on themselves or others.

Character Flaws:: As she wears no armor, Ismaire can easily be incapacitated if an opponent manages to land a solid blow. Lacking a right eye makes her more vulnerable to surprise attacks coming from the right, she also doesn't have very good peripheral vision.

Age: She looks about 18 or 19, but she's about 4... technically.

D.O.B.: Difficult to say... as a part of Ara she was born April 22nd, but she emerged as her own entity on October 16th, which she claims as the day of her 'birth' when anyone asks.

Race: Humanoid; though she is almost completely anatomically identical to a human girl she is actually a reflection of the human girl Ara, and is created from a mix of her power and her mania. For all intents and purposes, she is currently human.

Arts: Illusion and Self-Detonation

Character Looks: Standing at about 5'6" and weighing in at roughly 130 pounds, Lotti is small boned and slender due to a fast metabolism; her body's not really built for extended strenuous activity. Her hair is long and naturally straight, hanging at it's longest point to her hips, and starts as a vibrant pink at the roots and fades to a pure white by the ends. She has wispy bangs that skirt against naturally slim brows, and she usually allows it to hang down her back save for two tightly wound buns arranged on either side of her head and tied off with white ribbons. Her face is heart shaped and well balanced; her eyes are heavily framed with lashes and a light gray color with a slitted pink pupil. Lotti's skin is clear save for a circle of harsh black claw marks around her neck (the seal of Korbë), which she hides by tying a big white bow around her neck. She almost always wears a black cotton jumper that has puff sleeves and ends in a pair of black shorts, over which she wears a buckle on pink and white open front tiered skirt that brushes the back of her knees. Lotti finishes off her somewhat visually offensive look with black and white sleeve gloves that end in points over her middle knuckle and matching striped stockings topped off with pink go-go boots. Yeah; retina burning.

Alignment: Neutral; Lotti's on her own side at all times.

Personality: Lotti is everything her precursor wasn't; she's loud, outspoken, carefree, and whimsical. She's more then a little strange, and there are highly childish aspects to her reactions that may allude to the fact that she has only been her own existence for a handful of years. She has a monstrous appetite and loves to eat, loves fluffy things, and is extremely curious about the world around her and the people in it. Though she's very personable she doesn't seem overly concerned with making friends; she's equally happy with others or alone. She's almost always smiling and has no qualms about informing others that Mr. Jack is her best friend. Lotti speaks her mind and usually without thinking things through, but she rarely means to harm others with her words. Despite her airy disposition she is a ticking time bomb; her mood can rapidly deteriorate to a nasty cruelty if her mood flips. Like one of her powers, she has little to no idea what triggers these volatile mood swings, but she rarely worries about it, or her existence... or anything, to be honest. She is, after all, the very thing that drove her creator into madness; it stands to reason that she might be more then a little mad herself. This might be easily seen by the way she speaks; when in a generally good mood she refers to herself in the third person (perhaps learned by hearing herself spoken of while 'trapped' in the mirror) and only uses 'I' to refer to herself when her mood changes to something more dangerous.

History: Pre-Ria High: Lotti's story actually begins without her, centering on the relationship between an orphan girl named Ara and a philanthropist named Claude Korbë. Claude was generally well off, but despite living into old age he had never gotten the one thing he had really wanted: a family. So when he saw a teenage Ara sitting out on the street, dirty and hungry, he had no qualms about taking her in and planning to raise her as his own daughter. But Ara was less then stable mentally; she had the 'gift' of illusion, and that gift haunted her. With no constant stability in her life her unusual abilities served only to frighten her, almost bullying the girl into being timid and tense. Despite her oftentimes alarming outbreaks Claude was understanding and cared deeply for Ara; the two lived a life that was as normal as could be expected for two years. But Ara's battle had simply turned silent; despite her change in circumstances her mental state continued to deteriorate. Couple that with her abilities, and one day her reflection began talking to her... and not only to her, but to Claude too. It was a completely separate entity within the mirror, and Claude was delighted. Surely this was Ara's way of repressing her power; surely this was her pushing away the silent demons that haunted her and locking them away in a mirror, something that could be destroyed or hidden away. But Ara had the exact opposite reaction: she was terrified by the thought that she was creating some ferocious beast that would be capable of destroying the 'real' world she cared about even more, so she did the only thing that seemed logical in her state: despite the horrified objections of her caretaker Ara killed herself, shattering the mirror in an effort to take her reflection with her into death. The opposite reaction was achieved: as the glass shattered the form trapped within it was set free, and Lotti was 'born'.
Pre-Ria HighAt first Claude was horrified; the reflection appeared to be completely human and despite the feelings of blame he harbored towards her for Ara's death he couldn't retaliate against her. Self identifying as Charlotte or Lotti, she looked too much like Ara despite her differences in hair, eye color, and personality; despite himself Claude associated her with his beloved adopted daughter. Lotti was wild and loud in ways Ara had never been, and when he realized she had her powers of Illusion as well he feared she would meet the same fate as her creator. Not wanting to watch "Ara die again", Claude tried sending her to a 'normal school', hoping she would adapt... but instead the destructive power that had driven Ara mad manifested as she feared it would in Self-Detonation: Lotti literally blew herself and a portion of the school up before reforming without harm to herself and without any idea of what had set her off. Horrified, Claude did the only thing he could: he used his own secret power called Korbë (AKA CROW), a power he had loved Ara far too much to ever use on her, to seal up her unexplained tendency to explode. But he feared his own abilities wouldn't be enough to restrain her for long, so after much anxiety (on Claude's part, not Lotti's), he decided to ship her off to Ria High, his Alma matter and, hopefully, the best place for her to go and be under control while he figures out just what to do with the little oddity.

Any battle skills/magical powers you have: Undefined and unrefined at the moment; her abilities are relatively well known but unstudied and untrained, therefore the extent and complete diagnosis of her abilities is currently unknown.

Character Flaws: Lotti has many, many flaws (most of which will be reveled in time), the most blatant being that she can't control her power of Self-Destruction and has to be sealed to prevent it from sneaking up on her. Also apparent are her difficulties associating with people on a 'normal' level; since she was herself imaginary at one point she associates best with the imaginary, making her people skills... less than enviable. That being said she has a hard time completely processing the entire scope of human emotions, and is therefore often confused by any displays other then the happiness or destructiveness her own mania usually limits her to. Also she has little to no physical strength; if someone sees through her illusions her back up plan is usually dashing for cover since she can't defend herself against physical attacks.

A brownish chocker is on her neck and sometimes a golden heart-shaped locket is worn along with it. She is rarely seen without books in her hands. She is pale, about 5'2" and weighs 115lbs. Generally, she is seen wearing dark blue clothing as it looks best on her. She also has two simple sphere earings that match her skin tone or her clothing. Just below her shoulder is a mark that starts off as a star shape, but ribbon-like lines move through it. But it is only visible at night when it glows in rainbow colors that are always moving through the mark.

Personality: Caprice tends to be more on the bubbly upbeat note most of the time. She likes keeping this appearance so no one ever suspects anything of her as her usual moods are usually masked underneath the jubilance. She never liked talking about how she really felt inside. If she isn't with someone she knows, she is often either in the infirmary, jogging around the courtyard, or gazing at books in the library. She feels heartbroken in that her one has left her behind for unexplained reasons.

History: (more to be added) What's there to say really? Caprice is a full human, coming from two well-rounded parents that just felt like it was time for a change in her life. She'd always done well in school and had a healthy amount of manners when she felt they need be used so her parents agreed to let her go to Ria High. During her stay here, she had visited the hospital and had a long chat with one of the fallen who had just been defeated in the arena. Soon after leaving however, she lost concsiousness for much time, and when she noticed where she was, it was months later. After taking a picnic trip, she ran into Lazoras, and, only a few minutes later, Alef. She never saw Alef again after that day, but she and Lazoras became best friends and spent nearly all their time together as they explored the campus. Before long, they became an item. He has learned a part of her heritage and she has seen a number of glimpses into his past, and, his dreams for the future.

Any weapons/armor you have: Two daggers and some leather armor from her hands that goes to her elbows. Both a long sword and a short sword. She has obtained during her stay here various weapons, most being knives, but does have twin daggers. She has also fashioned herself a bow with few arrows.

Character Looks: Koneko has snow-white hair complete with white cat ears and star colored cat eyes. She is often the center of some rather unwanted attention by most boys. She wears a light red kimono, with a black band across the waist, and pinkish flowers on it. SHe is also often seen wearing a white shirt. Unknown to most, Koneko has retractable claws that can dig threw the flesh of most living creatures.

Alignment: Good.

Personality: Koneko is normally a very quite girl that pays attention to her surroundings. She is generally polite to people and would rather not get into a fight. If however she is in one, she would rather have a verbal fight. But in the few situations where that doesn’t work she can be a very formidable opponent, as a result she is not often picked on by others.
Also, when in a medical situation she can in just seconds change from quite
to an order-giving Doctor.
History
The beginning…
Koneko was born on the day of a Lunar Eclipse. He mother was a full-fledge tiger demon while her father was a half cat-demon half-human. She had one twin brother named Juro. They lived all lived happily together for many years. At the age of four she and her brother started to get there demonic powers, they would have been born being able to use them if it wasn’t for there human blood. The powers that she started to gain was the ability to control air. At the age of five she and her brother began school. To all the teachers it was quite obvious that Koneko had a real knack for math and art So as such in first grade she went to a third grade class for math. In about two months se memorized all her Multiplication and Division tables with virtually no trouble at all.
The fire
At the age of seven Koneko was coming home from school, after doing some after school math tutoring, when she saw fire trucks and an Ambulance drive past her and in the direction of her house. So, worried, she raised toward the house only to find it engulfed in flames. The firemen stopped her from getting inside the house. If she hadn’t been doing tutoring that day she too would have been engulfed in the fire. That day of the fire, both her parents and her brother died and Koneko was taken to a foster home, where a kind family took care of her. Shortly after the fire Koneko began to develop her fire powers that she inherited from her mother. She hated the even idea that she has fire powers and thus never used them except in rare occasions.
The foster parents
Her foster parents where kind people. After a year or two Koneko started to get over the death of her parents. They made sure that she was always doing well, she ate properly, was fit, and made sure that she was always in the very advanced math class. Once in middle school, she took
pre-algebra in 6th grade, algebra in 7th, and geometry in 8th grade. Near the end of 8th grade both of her foster parents came down with a severe case of the flu. Two weeks later, they oth passed to the other world. Unable to find a new foster family before the new school year started, the government sent her to Ria High School so she could still get education.

Any weapons/armor you have: Has a pair of Metal Fans that help her control the air currents and in some very rare cases I which she uses her fire powers. Though they may not look very dangerous, her two fans can cut threw almost anything.

Any items you have: Her two fans.

Any battle skills/magical powers you have: The ability to control Air and Fire. Koneko can also turn into a calico cat (her cat form) and a tiger (Her tiger form).

Character Flaws: Since she refuses to use her demonic fire powers, she is considerably weaker then what she could be. Koneko is still getting over the recent death of her foster family + real family, and as such she can be very emotional. When Koneko is excited about something, fire sparks start shooting from her fur, and the more excited she gets, the more and more sparks shoot from her fur/hair. But, when she is sad by something, the wind currents change and began to swarm around her. And if she gets more and more upset, fire will swarm around her as well, always causing her to get more and more upset, meaning more and more fire + wind will swarm around her.

Character Looks: Alabasta is a tan skinned male that stands around 6'1". His hair is a snowy white and, when straightened, flows down to just below his shoulders. His hair is usually tied back by a black ribbon, and almost never down unless he is sleeping. His eyes are a deep purple color, and they're usually kept half open when Al is awake.

Allignment: Neutral

Personality: Often tired and accepting, but if he is sleep deprived, his mood becomes energetic and often annoying. His posture usually tells his mood, if he is slouched over, he is in a bad mood. When he is sitting straight up, he is usually sleep deprived, and should be left alone for ones own safety. If he is leaning back in his chair, he is usually in a quite normal mood, and is the best time to approach him.

History: Alabasta was born into a noble family of England. At a young age his parents almost never saw him, he stayed with nanny after nanny after nanny, seeing his parents once every two years to give him missed birthday presents. At the age of twelve, he had had enough of the nannies and butlers and maids, and told his parents to let him lead a regular life. His parents right out refused to allow their son to live without servants, so they made sure he couldn't leave his mansion. After three years, at the age of fifteen, Alabasta was plagued with nightmares. Horrible nightmares about a dark river of blood, on one side was the life he led, and on the other the life he wished to lead. In his nightmare he would always try to cross the river, but the blood killed all who touched it, and Alabasta could only ever get halfway through the river before waking up right before he would've collapsed within his dream. After a year of the reoccurring nightmare, Alabasta's parents sent their most trusted advisers across Europe, China and Japan, searching for a Baku, a nightmare inspector, to relieve Alabasta of his horrid nightmares. After another year of searching, Alabasta's uncle had found a Baku in japan named Hiruko. The uncle brought Hiruko to Alabasta, and locked the two of them in Al's bed room. After five hours of waiting, Alabasta's uncle unlocked the door and walked in, wondering what was going on for so long. After entering the room, the uncle collapsed from shock. Maid after maid went to see what was going on, but none of them ever returned to Alabasta's parents. Finally, they decided it was their turn to see their child. They proceeded to Alabasta's mansion, and when they arrived, they were greeted by all the maids they had sent. They walked up into Alabasta's courtiers, only to find him staring out a window with Hiruko's body, mutilated on the floor. After hour of screaming and yelling, Alabasta's father finally asked what had happened, and Alabasta explained how Hiruko had become tired of living the life of the Baku, only eating nightmares. He also explained how Hiruko was half dead when he became a Baku, so he would die quickly after giving his Baku life to Alabasta. Alabasta had become a Baku seventeen days after his parents had sent their advisers to seek a Baku. He eventually got bored of living at home, and ran away to Ria High School, enrolling on sight.

Character Looks: Nevaeh's hair is jet black in colour with medium bangs and her eyes are deep pools of brown that could be mistaken for black that mesh well with her porcelain skin tone. When standing straight she reaches a total height of 5'6'' but she rarely does. She is small and weighs about 110lbs. She has many small scars on her back as well as a tattoo of a small owl on her right shoulder, half way back; and another tattoo of one wing on her lower back that was never finished.

Personality: Nevaeh is one of those girls who is shy on the outside but a total dominatrix on the inside. She knows the meaning of right and wrong, but chooses to do as she pleases above doing the right thing. You may think you know this girl down to a 'T' but thats when you've mistaken yourself, because she is never the same person twice. Shes intellectual above practical, and prefers a book to a person. Neveah is humble, and not arrogant, but that doesn't mean she won't stand up for herself or her beliefs. When she walks its as if she floats with the find, or dances across the room. The wind is her power point and motion is the fluidity of her dance. She has a certain level of decency about her, and is very respectful, with the manners of a heiress. Looks like:Her hair is a dark brown that's almost black, while her eyes are a light pink and her skin an extreme pale. Akia stands at regular hight for most human women, about 5'4 and is skinny weighting about 140 pounds without her prosthetics. Akia wears rather heavy black clothing much of the time, and almost always hides her scared left shoulder. Her eyes and manner typically takes an almost business sort of form- most of the time- however she does have a weakness to odd things which can force her to let go of her day to day facade in favor of showing her softer side. She has scars on both of her legs from the mid-shin up to her knees, though they are light and cast a pale pattern over her skin. On her left hip she has another, more noticeable scar and a tattoo that states 'A-47, #4RIN' - in blue lettering.
Allignment: bordering on innocent evil.
Personality: Cold, and solitary, but very, very emotionally unstable and weak.

User ImageHistory: (pre-Ria) Akia was adopted by the young Dr. Jones, from a major weapon research company known as Corp. 5, at the age of a few months. Dr. Jones was her only family other then their maid, whom she never spoke to. At the age of four, experiments began on her body as part of the A-47 project. The hopes were that Akia would be the perfect vessel for the experiments.
At seven she lost her lower legs from the mid-shin down, and had to have them replaced with robotics, due to an accident involving her and one of their shuttles. The chemicals they forced into her body turned her eyes pink by the time she was twelve. And most significantly, in an accident involving a small explosion, caused by the success of the experiments, when she was fifteen; she lost her father, her home, her trust in adults, and herself.
With her mental health shattered, the head researcher ordered the experiments and observations finished before he shipped her off to Ria. Akia now does not understand emotions, nor does she want to believe what the researchers did to her. Akia has lived in the Corp. 5 facilities for most of her life and is moderately fascinated by the world outside, however, she feels that Corp. 5 will always be her home.
Defends With: a small handgun.

Skills/Powers:
She can kick harder then normal and can float at a maximum of a foot and a half above the ground- but not for very long, at length, perhaps two to three minutes in movement. She knows how to use guns, though her aim isn't perfect. Akia will go after you with a certain coldness if she must- making her a formidable opponent since she can ignore pain as she has been for years.
Due to the injections of chemicals and other things, her body radiates a white energy, known as her 'killing light', 'killing light' is part of her survival mode and, under a certain amount of strain; unfortunately, that energy is her last defense and in its activation she is in no state to control what's happening or about to happen to those around her. This light is an extremely powerful defense mechanism which causes damage by burning anyone whom it touches, it can be stationary or it can explode- depending on her physical and emotional state.
As well Akia can slow down time using a technique called 'Chemical time-slow', however, this ability can only be accessed before using killing light as a prelude to it, as it is a sort of backdoor built into her survival system along side killing light. The purpose is to help her escape, however it does damage to her regardless of the state she's in when its accessed.
In her completely transformed state, Akia takes on a second skin in which her powers fully manifest themselves and she's able to access her survival mode without being in a near death state. The transformation takes over a minute as a the skin grows from her left hip across her body and coats her in a soft shield. In this state her eyes turn a deep red-brown. When hit this 'shield' begins to peel and reveal scarred and burnt skin underneath. She can only access this ability when she's in a highly emotional state and even then it is dangerous at best. The transformation takes a lot of her energy and consumes much of the little fat, left on her body, each time she uses it. It leaves her at her weakest while using it but boosts her speed and strength significantly. And so it keeps her power shifted away from defense and to offense. However, as stated before, she can only use it when in a highly emotional/stressed state. This state is called her flawed glass state. In short most of her abilities are either locked away behind a mess of signals and triggers, or normal for a person.

Flawed Glass: Has a tendency for mental breakdowns, and hates to feel useless or out of place. She'll do anything to get away from her emotions. As well, she is missing all parts of her legs below the halfway points of her shins, and they were replaced with robotics, which sometimes break down. They also make it hard for her to swim. Due to some reason or another, she will become worked up and cough blood, her first guess is anemia. Her mind is also rather messed up for a person so young, and she has come to be noted as an adult in a child's body.
