Name of weapon: Umbra Relaxo ((Shadow lightening))

Who owns the weapon: Letum Umbra

Where it was found/Who made it: Upon one of Letum's wondering through the Cloud village he stopped at the gate entrance, his eyes locked on a peculiar blade he had seen. Rather addicted to metal he couldn't resist snatching up the blade, unknowing of what it was exactly. Upon using it he found out the special...intriguing nature of the blade. Unable but to resist trying to figure out what made it do the special things it could do, taking every chance to experiment with it.

The Range of the weapon: The range of this blade is 3 feet, the length of the blade, but can be extended in various ways. The extensions are visible and measurable to a trained eye, for the most part. But extensions to the blade will never exceed an extra three inches due to the limits of the blade.

Weakness: The blade is made out of a natural metal that has been combined with a nonmetal polyatomic material that strengthens it greatly. The material being Tungsten Carbide, it is a VERY strong metal but when struck with something equally strong or stronger the metal can fracture and break off. It's rigid and strong but when struck right can chip but very rarely shatter as other metals may do. One of the other weaknesses of this weapon when exposed to extreme colds it becomes more brittle and easier to fracture and break. But obviously breaking the hilt would make such a dense, heavy sword harder to use and it's effects unable to be used.

Stopping the users flow of chakra to the arms also make it's abilities useless. On top of most abilities being visible before being put into action against the foe, any aware and observant enemy would be able to pick up on these patterns and make most easy to dodge, given they have the speed and knowledge of such abilities.

Description: The blade of this weapon is a traditional Katana style with a 3 foot length of highly sharp blade. The blades color a grey-black and won't even melt till it hits 2870 Degree Celsius, meaning very few fire jutsus will effect this blade. The hilt of which is solid black and held tightly around the blade. The metal very dense making it heavier then an average sword made of steel but by far sharper and stronger. Due to the weight of it, unless held in the hands of one who has worked many, many years with such a blade the swings of it will be slower compared to an average Katana but the damage it can inflict will be greater. This trade off being one that Letum sees as an interesting and useful one to him.

Now, the blade holds special properties on top of the unique material it is made out of. When chakra is channeled into the blade of this sword by the user it can do one of several things depending on how the chakra is channeled. If sent through the whole blade it will suddenly turn immaterial to put it in the most simplistic terms, it can neither be touched nor cause harm but can be rematerialized in solid objects but requiring a few seconds ((AKA One Post)) to do so, being less then ideal to use against moving opponents who can dodge such a thing easily if they're not pinned. Never can be in effect for more then two seconds ((Just say one post >.>)).

When chakra is channeled only to the tip of the blade, the top three inches the blade does something by far different that was not anticipated upon Letum's first experiment. The blade will extend out with a blade chakra tip, pushing the blades outer reach of it by a little bit up to three extra inches of reach. The black chakra visible but blurred when in motion, appearing to blend in with the blade itself, unaware enemies can be caught off if not aware of it prior to its motion. Taking chakra away every few minutes to reactivate the effect. ((5 posts)) Chakra taken varies on length created, anything under 1cm taking very little and unnoticeable amounts, greater taking more. A variation is concentrating chakra on the outer edge all around to both sharpen and extend it but not nearly as far, 1cm when using this and using a constant amount of chakra. ((Every three posts))

Upon channeling chakra to the very tip of this blade it will do something quite different. Given a small black spark of lightening before a bolt is released. Acting like true lightening but moving in the direction of the blades aim. It is capable of arching towards metal materials within 10 foot range of it's core that moves in a straight line in the given direction. This taking a small chunk of chakra but a noticeable amount.

Rp Sample: Letum's eyes scanned the area, his hand reaching up to grasp the hilt of his blade, the metal ringing lightly as it was unsheathed from his back. He held the blade out in front of him in his right hand. The black-grey metal of the blade catching the light of the sun. "Where is he." Letum's voice was low but calm, his eyes flicking from side to side. In a sudden instant someone rushed out from the bushes and swung their own blade vertically up at Letum's chest, he swung down and the blades clashed.

The tungsten metal let out a harsh ring but rhythmic ring as it made contact and stopped the other blade. His opponents blades chipped off and showed that it was made of a weaker metal, a mark left where the metal chipped. He looked into the eyes of his foe, the mans body masked in full black, the only part showing was the eyes. "I would just leave me be." He told his foe who gave a snicker and pulled the blade away, his own blade falling down some as his foe swung once more but from a different angle. The blade began to cut into his left shoulder by the time he was able to bring the blade back up and block it.

The blood began to trickle down his arm, his sword poised against his foes, holding the blade back from drawing more blood. But suddenly Letum pulled a kunai out with his left hand in in a quick movement his body lurched forward but not before his foes sword slipped through the blade, seeming to be unable to touch the blade anymore. As he did so his foe's blade dropped down and was unable to reach him as he moved forward. The kunai aimed and striking his foes gut, slicing it open as he caught him off guard. The blood ran out like a river, spraying and dripping out from the deep gash. The man stumbled backwards, gasping in pain and curling over from the pain and becoming no longer able to hold himself up tall due to the nature of the deep injury. It ripped his muscle and tore into his precious organs, meaning standing up only forced the cut to stay open and rip more. The man clutching his sword more loosely now as he doubled over.

Letum simply smirked as he watched the man slowly dieing before him, or it would appear to be. He flicked his sword out to the side. His attention now focused on the tip of the blade, his chakra flowing and surging into the blade. "I don't know what you assassins want....but you'll all fall if you keep up at this rate." From the tip of the blade a black chakra extended from it. The sounds of muffled laughter could be heard, followed by the sound of the man coughing up blood. He could hear and see the blood hit the ground. "Y....You think....it's that....easy?" The man said, laughing more as he began to stand up. His grip firmed on the hilt of his blade as his body shook to stand up.

He was shocked to see the man do this, looking at the wound he had caused, surprised to see it already beginning to heal and seal up slowly. The blood no longer flowed out and them mans' eyes glowed as they locked onto Letum. "I see..."

Letum suddenly shot forward, he wasn't about to make the same mistake twice. He had allowed his opponent a chance to gather the strength they needed. He quickly swung the sword vertically up at the mans' chest, the blade in a blur. He jumped backwards, thinking he nearly escaped the reach of the blade but became wide eyed as he felt pain shoot through his body. Suddenly a large laceration appeared across the mans' chest going upwards, the blood spraying out. He found it remarkable the man could sustain such injuries and dips in blood pressure without passing out. "B-b*****d." The man swore, stumbling backewards after his feet made contact with the ground.

He glanced at the man. "You were so focused on healing you lack the necessary senses to see it....to see the extensions." His eyes flicked down at his blade, the blade extended by the chakra but it began to slowly retreat. "It will be over for you soon enough." He raised up the blade and pointed it for the center of the mans chest about 10 feet away, clutching the blade tightly in his right arm. A spark jumped across the blade, chakra would easily been seen by anyone who can sense it focusing into the tip.

The man gasped for air as his body began to move, having two severe injuries to worry about and a large portion of blood lost. His body unable to keep moving at the same high speed as before without cost, the lack of blood delivering less oxygen across his body. But he still had the desire to fight and kill, his body moving to the side as he pulls out a kunai, letting out a wail of pain from the forced movement. The kunai hit Letum in the left shoulder as he kept focus on his blade, his left shoulder forced backwards and pain pulsing through his body as his shoulder began to bleed.

As the man did this a sudden bolt of lightening was released from the blade. The lightening shot straight through the mans and annihilated it, the man dropping in pain and his body sent into uncontrollable spasms. Letum's breathing becoming heavy as he waked over to the man, his blade becoming translucent as he neared him. "Why were you sent after me?" He asked in a calm voice despite the heavy breathing and the kunai left in his limp left arm. Moving his left side as little as possible to reduce the pain as much as possible, natural pain killers in his body mixed with adrenaline numbing some of the pain. "Because...your bloodline is....filth." The man said weakly and Letum suddenly forced the blade through the man heart, he let out a gasp and froze up. Already immobilized from the lightening and the heavy damage it did to his nervous system as well as the heavy wounds. He wouldn't be able to regenerate an arm and seemed far to weak to continue.

The man was surprised to see he wasn't dead yet. "The only filth here is you...you were the ones that tried to wipe my grandparents generation out...weren't you?!" He glared at the man who could no longer talk. "Go to hell." The blade suddenly reformed and suddenly sliced right through the mans chest, heart, and numerous arteries in his chest. He pulled the blade out, blood running from the blade and from the mans' chest. His breathing still heavy. "Man...that took it out of me." He put his blade away and then gripped the kunai in his left hand, wincing as he suddenly rips it out. He then throws it down into the man lifeless body, grasping his own left shoulder now.

I think its amazing how alike we think lol. I read it through before I even read your response and saw the same thing. Like my comment said, it was rushed. But yeah I totally agree.

But I'll probably make something to do with rank for what kind of weapons it can be changed into. Like for a genin it can only change in length or width (Much like my version of Shinsou), for a chunin they can turn it into any weapon that is about the same size (ie. a katana can turn into a a war fan or something similar), for jounin+ they can turn it into anything they wish ,to an extent. (ie. the coup' de' gra of all the Kubriki Hocho)

@Major: I'm glad you understand where I'm coming from then. Just make the necessary adjustments and apply again.

@Insane: Yeah, this is something more suited for someone of a chunnin level. And if I approve it when you apply again at that rank, I ask that you must actually rp finding and training with the blade since it's something you found, and not a blade of your own creation.

The Range of the weapon: It's a stick...
Weakness: It's a STICK!
Description: A Shillelagh is a kind of walking stick/club which golf clubs of today are styled after. It is a root from the Blackthorn plant, rubbed with butter and cured. Then the gnarled end is hollowed out and filled with lead so as to break bones and such. The tempered wood of the Shillelagh is made to disarm sword and axeman and has been used for many centuries by the Irish with great effect.

Who owns the weapon: Matsuya Komihachi
Where it was found/Who made it: It was made for Matsuya when he achieved stage two of the clan.
The Range of the weapon: 0-5 feet [for blade] 0-20 yards [for shadow]
Weakness: If exposed to direct sunlight for more than an hour [in RP] it's power of shadows drastically decreases.
Description: The blade has the power to control shadows to change into different weapon.
Genin: Can change the width or length of the blade.
Chunin: Can change the blade into something of a similar size.
Jounin+: Can change the blade into any weapon they choose.(Example: I the weapon is in the form of a senbon it can morph its shape into an entirely different weapon.)
It also amplifies the owners control over shadows by one rank.
Rp Sample:
Kinmaru looked straight into the eyes of his opponent. The man looked cocky and looked as if he could back it up. Kinmaru drew his blade. "You made one vital mistake, you choose to fight in the night." He gathered the shadows around the blade, making it look like a large spear. "Well? Are you going to attack!?" The large man charged at Kinmaru. Kinmaru laughed, spinning on his heels. "You're slow aren't you?!" He stabbed the spear into the man's foot, pulling it out quickly. The large man collapsed, holding his foot in pain. "And dumb too." Kinmaru jumped onto the man's vast back. "You gave me the opening I needed." Kinmaru changed the spear into a large sword. He brought it down on the man's neck. "You were a fool to attempt to kill me." The man screamed for a fraction of a second before he died. Kinmaru let the blade return to its base state. He walked off of the man's back, standing next to him for a minute. "Fool."

Hope that's a good enough example. I tried to think rationally.

Where it was found/Who made it:It was made by the first Mizukage, but he hid it in a cave way back in the forest
The Range of the weapon: 2 feet radius around user
Weakness: it too much power is put into it will either break, or go out of control

After a long day of classes and training, Kumiko decided to to go for a walk in the forest,while walking she saw something blinking far away like a light, but it was not very bright,so quickly, she hurried to see what it was, and low and behold, she saw a staff stuck in floor of the cave, then a voice said"Only those who can translate the hidden message on the staff, may be the wielder of his power." She heard it and gave it a try"only those strong in will and spirit .. may behold and wield this power of this staff, others will be blown back to their village with memory of seeing it wiped clean"She tried, the voice came back and was astonished"Child, you are the only person who has been able to correctly translate the hidden message, you are the user of this staff"It said then disappeared, then suddenly it shot out of the ground and floated to her and the moment it touched her head the cave start to crumble,so she ran out and looked in awe at the staff in her hand, being the curious person she is, she tried it out and looked and pointed it in the north, and could sense her senseis shakra. amazed by its power, she tied it to her back and went home.

@AlphaMisa: That RP sample was good, but can you possibly write one with you using the weapon in combat, just so I can get a feel for what it's capable of doing?
