Auditions

Including: Ignacio Araya, solo
Link: Here!

Ignacio, on one of his random whims, decided it would be a good idea to audition for this absolutely ridiculous play that Barren Pines is putting on. There is no promise he'll actually care until the end of it all, of course, but auditioning as Tramptalia was too hilarious to pass up. He put on his most dramatic personality, stepped onto stage, and delivered an absolutely ridiculous interpretation given ridiculous lines and an even more ridiculous name.

Hey, maybe he's exactly what they're looking for! He'll be amused to find out.

------

As it turns out, a highly amused Ignacio Araya found out that his amusing interpretation of Tramptalia was enough to land him a part! Well, it was not so much a part as ensemble and multiple understudy roles, but Ignacio was all too willing to take that. The new script--that was, improvisation--fit right in with his lack of ability to pay attention for much longer than a few minutes and he determined being Kevin Cullen, Tramptalia, and the Ensemble had some great benefits to go along with it.

Howdy?

Including: Ignacio Araya & Azzo Crowley
Link: Here!

Ignacio emerges from a rehearsal session on random whim, only to find himself running into Riff-Raff the Hypnotist and a b*****d who decides to spray them both with some kind of sleeping gas. They are transported into two boxes, facing each other, with little more than a voice mocking them.

A button must be pressed, or they'll both die. Riff-Raff, formally known as Azzo, decides that he shall be the one to die because he doesn't want another death on his conscience and hypnotises Ignacio. While Ignacio breaks out, he is convinced to press the button and does it in a rapid hurry. Of course, this is like Saw, as Ignacio determined, and Jigsaw has decided that Ignacio will be the one to die today.

Ignacio is dead from Sarin Nerve Gas.
The school reports it as bacterial meningitis.

He's closed his eyes to the world forever... or has he?

It's True, It's True, We Don't Exist

Including: Ignacio Araya, solo
Link: Below!
Word Count: 778

-------------------------------

What the ******** happened to me? I sincerely hoped Jigsaw was a dream caused by too much Saw, too much Resident Evil, too much FEAR, too much of play practice, too much of something, but as it turns out you don't die in dreams, I was right on instinct, I'm dead as a--

My hands are now completely green. What the ******** they're elongated. Those aren't fingers, those aren't fingers at all. What are they? They look like the type of thing you'd see on the Grinch! Could he steal Christmas with these? It might be rather fun; take some presents and destroy them... I'd take presents from Jigsaw; if anyone loved that screwed up piece of s**t they deserved to have their holiday cheer stolen and burnt in a fire.

Walking feels more like lurching, lurching and falling and fading into hunger, sweet delicious hunger of sweet delicious flesh why does my stomach keep yearning for flesh? I've proven immortality but I've also proven zombies; is this Resident Evil 4? I'm an insanely fast zombie with coherent thought; is this what they'd call the afterlife?

Well, I've gotten myself here. There has to be a way to get back.

If I could FIND anyone!

The bloody campus is dead. Grayson said the whole dorm building burnt down in a fire and apparently I've been dead for a while now because that didn't sound like something familiar at all. Still, I've passed by the place since then and I've gotta say it does look pretty fried. Maybe I should go back later and see if there's anything left in there. If I've been dead so long it's probably been cleaned by now but if this whole campus is some kind of monster they've probably not cared to clean up much after themselves with those green elongated claws of the Grinch--
Claw?

Oh, right, I'm a monster. Rehuman rebirthed monster

Lurch forward again towards some glass, get a better look at--WHAT THE ******** teeth could rip apart bone. Was this what immortality was like? You live forever but become a monster?

That made this whole thing sound like a vampire novel. They were effectively immortal, right? Look at Dracula, he lived forever. Edward lived forever too, but he was a stupid diphead

...No. No. NO.

The hunger rumbled, the monstrous hunger screamed to be fed, to taste the taste of blood and skin and the muscles within and to use the bone as some kind of comedic tooth-picking apparatus. The hunger is on the brink, the hunger is on the brink, the hunger is on the horizon and I need to keep it down in the stomach where it should remain. My mind is my home, because clearly every other part of my body is rebelling.

And I need to keep my mind clean of this if I'm going to do something.

Every action has an equal and opposite. If I could become this... this Grinch-like abomination... then I should be able to become alive again, rid of the hunger and rid of these terrible claws. But how? Eating won't help; that's giving into desires and desires will only make my mind sink faster. Sarin nerve gas, maybe?

Sarin nerve gas was meant to keep people dead. I'm clearly alive. Well, sort of. Alive as something different--

Still, Grayson died by different means. He had a horrible bullet wound. What would drive people to kill themselves in such a way? Even if the campus was going to complete s**t I would have just attempted to leave not take a bullet to my brain. Why am I not leaving? Perhaps it's to find some sort of clue because this is where it happened right? Grayson, did he die in the box too? Perhaps he was confronted with some similar stupid situtation where it was kind of a them or everybody and Grayson decided it was gonna be him instead. And then the brains must have scattered across the floor--my stomach doesn't seem to like that image at all, I thought I was a monstrous zombie and don't zombies like brains? Perhaps all the myths had it wrong anyway; perhaps I should pen a new one and publish it from this jail where nobody cares anyway--

If nobody cared, I will. I'll find a way out of this mess.

Every action had an equal and opposite.

And DAMN all else, I can shove aside my urges to come back to reality again.

Right. Now.

Time to lurch for clues. For information. For reversal. And perhaps, then, vengence. Vengence against those who started this.

That sounded nice.

Bitter Reunions

Including: Ignacio Araya & Sailor Chronos & Sailor Virgo & Nealite & Azzo Crowley
Link: Here!

Humanity, these days, is a rare thing to behold...

While Ignacio was on his search for an equal and opposite, he ran into a woman in a poofy skirt and a woman in a Grecian-styled dress. As it turned out, the woman in a poofy skirt happened to be a Princess, while the other was later referred to as Sailor Virgo. This excited him, needless to say, and he immediately assumed they had information on how to become human and perhaps the Princess should show him exactly how.

Unfortunately, Jigsaw, otherwise known as Nealite and Neasaw shows up, dragging his previous attempted savior Riff-Raff (Azzo?) with her and soon deciding to control him to. Ignacio found himself attacking Chronos and Virgo without control of his own actions, and so they attacked him despite his continuous begging to focus on Neasaw strictly.

It left him battered and with a concussion that would eventually somewhat heal, but perhaps more than that, it left him desperate because not even the pretty-suited soldiers had given him much in the way of assistance.

From here on out, he determines that he must find the two of them again, without Neasaw around.

This is Where I Used to Live

Including: Ignacio Araya, solo
Link: Here and Below
Word Count: 1186

-------------------------------

It was the first time that Ignacio had tried approaching the charred remains of what was left of the dorm building.

The third floor was gone entirely, the second floor was in shambles, and the first floor looked burnt beyond recognition. Still, the rubble was there, and the building was approachable...

He had to know. He had to know if there was anything left.

The zombie swallowed hard, before moving in the building through a hole in the wall that might've once been a doorframe. A quick glance around revealed that he had indeed entered a bedroom, but whose bedroom was this? It looked a little charred Spartan, but that might've just been because of the fact that most of the building had burned to the ground...

What was that on the floor?

Ignacio ventured over to the rectangular-shaped object and picked it up, bringing it closer to his face so he could blow the ash off it. Looked like a some pages of a notebook... glued together at the side? The rest of the book had probably charred completely before the fire ended.

Perhaps knowing from too many Whodunit books that this would definitely be a clue, he peeled it open and headed for the less-charred middle page in an attempt to read what might be inside.

Jibberish. What did that even mean... math. There was math in here, he recognized that as a factorial or something... This had to be Arastoo's old notebook. Ignacio had never known him too well; really, the most that he had known was that the man was a math genius. He was a red-headed one, too. Seemed fairly nice, but also seemed too absorbed with his mathematics. Perhaps, Ignacio was holding all that was left of him.

All that was left of the local mathematics genius was in his hands.

He cautiously ripped the page from the rest of the charred pages and folded it carefully so it didn't snap, before placing it in one of his sweater pockets. If it was the only thing left of a man Arastoo, it was Ignacio's responsibility to hang onto it. And perhaps if he was still alive, someday, Ignacio could give it to him. It was a charming thought, and made Ignacio grin so typically as he moved outside of room ARA-1.

If he had entered into the first room, then his room was all the way down and at the corner. Putting his blinders on when it came to the other rooms for the moment, Ignacio ran forward as fast as his undead legs would take him, soon arriving at his own room.

The door was closed, but Ignacio lifted a leg and smashed it into the door. It smashed open all too easily (further proving that this building had no integrity; staying in here too long would be a bad idea, probably) and Ignacio stepped inside.

The room was so ... barren.

Just like Barren Pines.

"I used to live here," mumbled Ignacio, in amazement. This charred room, this barren room... used to be full to the brim of hobby-materials he had once gotten bored of. His lab station was over on his desk... he had been taking something apart before the Jigsaw incident, before the play rehearsals. But there was nothing there except a few bits of dust. His bed had a few pieces of charred blanket left on it, but he didn't want that.

The charred blanket wasn't his. Not in its current state.

He dared to venture over to what was left of the burnt dresser and pull a drawer open. Casual clothes. Video gaming shirts, sweatpants, a barely recognizable dirty magazine that he had swiped from Lucas just to see if he ever noticed... Ignacio chuckled, moving his clothes to cover the magazine. (Really, no one needed to know he had one of those in his dresser, right?) But as he moved the clothes, he found what he was looking for.

The envelope.

The note from his parents, with their pictures...

It was still there.

Immediately, he swiped it and put it in his other pants pocket. He didn't need to know the words; he would read it later. For now, he just wanted to have it. It made him feel an extra pang of hope within his heart, and he wanted to keep that hope burning and alive.

He needed to keep moving.

Ignacio said one last goodbye to his old home before walking back in the direction that he had came, deciding that he would be best off using the familiar exit to the building. But he took the blinders off this time. This time, he chose to look from left to right, taking in all the old rooms. HEN-18... Lucas had always been right across the hall; too bad they weren't still. GRA-11... That was where Grayson had once lived... BEL-6 made him scoff; damn that douchenozzle for all that it was worth but... even so, being called Nacho Cheese Araya would totally make him feel good right now. At least it would be some semblance of normalcy.

And then he saw it. CRO-4. This was Riff-Raff's room, right? Because he was addressed as Azzo at some point, by Sailor... Virgin or whatever she was calling herself. What called to his attention the most, though, was the note on the door his eyes soon caught.

'Here Lies Melody.'

No, no, "NO!"

Melody couldn't be dead. Lucas was alive, sort of, so Melody had to be too. Melody had to be too. She had to be. He beat on the door in hopes that someone would answer and tell him that this was all a joke. Sweet Melody. She always had a smile, always had beautiful music to play. She was always so tolerant even when he randomly wandered off and got distracted by the lilac trees or the pawn shop. If Lucas was someone he could always have fun with, Melody was always someone he could lean on.

And she was dead.

For the first time since he was reawoken, he felt his eyes burn. No, no, no... Helplessly, he smashed his hand against the door again, knowing she wouldn't but hoping she would peak her head out the door and say it was some kind of ploy to fool the zombies. But nothing came. Nothing ever came.

His eyes burned and his heart wept, and he remained crumpled on the floor for several moments.

But another voice came from within, ordering him to get up off the floor. This was no time for weeping. This was time to discover humanity again. This was time to discover who was behind this and destroy them. This was time to contact his parents. This was time to return Arastoo's belongings to him. This was time to resurrect Melody. This was time to team up with Lucas (and not to kill all humans). This was time to declare war.

With a newfound determination, Ignacio stood up and nearly stormed out of the hole in the wall he had found.

This was time to declare war.

The Warpath

Including: Ignacio Araya & Pierrette Genoise & Sue Gottschalk & Sailor Foramen & Ancient Queen Serenity
Link: Here!

Ignacio, fresh from seeing the notebook, his room with the picture, and Melody dead, is ready to kill Nealite again and again and again and then make her very memory vanish. He hears someone crying in the bleachers and at first approaches cautiously, but when he catches a sight of red hair he speaks more confidently and is ready to strike at any time.

Turns out it's just a young French transfer student, who is scared of him initially because he is a zombie and other zombies have attacked her, but he convinces her that he won't hurt her. Just as she comes out of hiding, three more figures arrive that he instantly wants to defend this human from, partially to prove himself and partially to defend a new ally. But Queen Serenity comes up to him and mostly removes the curse, leaving him human.

In a whirlwind, Pierrette is pointed out as Sailor Pisces, given a henshin pen, and then they are both quickly edged off to the nearby gymnasium after Ignacio gets out a nagging question.

Survivors Filling the Bleachers

Including: Ignacio Araya & Survivors & Zodiac Senshi
Link: Here!

Ignacio and Pierrette (recently called Sailor Pisces) make their way to the gymnasium as they were told to do. There, they initially meet up with Topher, soon called Sailor Taurus, and Yvette. They quickly fill each other in on what they had been told before the bulk of the group shows up, throwing orders and names every which way. Hero becomes Sailor Aries and Sagittarius is apparently dead with Scorpio on the way...

It's all very complex, but all Ignacio cares about is Grayson being alive. He spots Grayson, who is Sailor Leo (well, more like Grayson spots him), and they share some rather emotional hugs and a bit of a sob on Ignacio's side before they part and Ignacio prepares for the upcoming final stand.

It was time to end all of this.

Now We Are Free

Including: Ignacio Araya & Survivors & Zodiac Senshi
Link: Here!

Ignacio Araya, the erastz leader of the humans, leads the human group as the Zodiacs and the other senshi and the cats arrive at the barrier. It is foreboding, but they can survive it. Queen Serenity tells them to pray to the Opal Crystal to bring Chronos back, and she arrives, beautiful and whole and exactly the person who had said she couldn't help him except in a different outfit (how ironic, thinks Ignacio).

And then the Zodiacs transform. Pisces. Aquarius. Capricorn. Sagittarius. Scorpio. Libra. Virgo. Leo. Cancer. Gemini. Taurus. Aries. And then they had to pray. Pray to the Opal Crystal. Pray with all of his heart and mind. Hope with all of his heart and mind to end this torture of Barren Pines, end it forever and hope it had never happened, hope with all his being that it never happened.

Humans around him begin to disappear, but he holds out, eventually collasping to the ground fainted in what Barren Pines really is: the grounds of an abandoned mental hospital. He doesn't remember the praying, and he doesn't remember all of the Zodiacs' identities, but he does remember everything else that had happened.

And he is left within the hospital to recover, thought dead for a year. Truly alive.

Alive.

Never. ********. Again.

We Did It?

Including: Ignacio Araya, solo
Link: Here and Below
Word Count: 607

-------------------------------

The ground was moist underneath him. The sun was bright above him. The noises were swirling around him. Panicked cries of parents and children alike and stunned onlookers who could do nothing but stare in shock were all around him. His head was so foggy. The last he remembered was seeing that girl with the read hair like Neasaw... what was her name, Pierrette? Even that seemed foggy. So foggy.

On instinct he attempted to move himself to a sitting position, but groaned and flopped backwards in exhaustion. His body was too tired to move, refused to move, despite Ignacio's yearning to get up and figure out when the skies had gone bright again. He remembered something of being... a leader, on a warpath, Melody dead, Lucas dead like him, a monster like him, like Grayson, like a monster...

Ignacio looked at his hands with a vague smile. It was good to see that his humanity hadn't been a dream.

"Besame el culo!"

No. Way.

"Mr. Araya, sir..."

"We're going to see our son whether you want us to or not."

Ignacio picked out one particular voice with a strong ringing accent and couldn't help lifting his body up again. He propped himself on his elbows and tried to keep his body up despite nausea, squinting his eyes at the man in the distance. Jet black hair. Slightly tanned skin. Piercing hazel eyes. That was... that was his father.

Baldomero Ignacio Araya. Baldomero. That was who the man was; all the memories were flooding back to him now. This was the father he had forgotten while in the school. Barren Pines. Barren Pines which was a joke. He knew that. He knew that all too well. He had been part of the terrible joke.

A bitter smile crossed his face before his arms gave out and he flopped into the moist grass again. Before his body could fully settle, though, he felt strong arms wrap around him in a stranglehold, with a gentle voice cooing, "My baby, my baby, my baby... Ignacio, Ignacio, we thought, we thought you were..."

Ignacio's bright yellow eyes flicked over to the side. Yellow eyes, red hair, freckles all across her cheeks and a strong physique... this was his mother. Lorna McLaughlin-Araya, right? How was it that he remembered them now and not before? This school was such a living, breathing monster that it was sucking all of their memories away to fuel itself.

"Hermano!"

A stock of black hair with bright yellow eyes and tanned skin was clinging hard to his leg. "You aren't gone for the long time! I knew! I knew, hermano! I stopped them, from taking your stuff, hermano! You'd be back for it!"

Who was that? In his foggy state, it was even harder to remember. Ignacio attempted to push himself away from his mother to get a better look (and failed, of course). But then it came to him. "Raina, it's good to see you," came a rasped voice. His smile was vague, but it was there. His little sister, she had remembered him. It was nice, to be remembered.

There were so many questions to ask. What had happened in the two months he was gone? How had he gotten out of the school? Where was everyone? Where was Melody, sweet dead Melody? Had she come back? Where was Grayson? He needed to get his Grayson. His Grayson? Being possessive over friends was weird. Ignacio shook his head to clear his jumbled thoughts, but that just made him dizzy.

And he fainted in his mother's arms out of pure exhaustion.

2+2=10. In Base 4. I'M FINE.

Including: Ignacio Araya & Ji-Yeon Nae
Link: Here!

After the so-called Organ Trafficking incident (Ignacio so doesn't buy it), he finds himself stuck in bed, dehydrated and unable to stand, with IVs in his arm. He hates nurses. Stupid nurses, and that includes his overly worried mother, grr. But Ignacio does have visitors!

Ji-Yeon comes in to attempt to cheer him up, though Ignacio initially mistakes her for a nurse. When he gets over that disappointment, and the disappointment of not being able to get up and jump rope, he decides to fill Ji-Yeon in on what parts of his story he remembers (note: what is written is a little different than what was said).

Ji-Yeon then decides to tell him of recent news... of the senshi? Ignacio is curious and decides to listen in, before she has to leave. Spheres, powers, magical people and magical enemies... odd, but for some reason, this matters to Ignacio more than it ever had before. He shall add this to his list of things to look into once he gets out of this damned bed.

Miracles Do Happen

Including: Ignacio Araya & Melody Klein
Link: Here!

Ignacio finally gets out of his bed, using a wheelchair to unnecessarily get himself around the hospital. He uses this to play up the pity card when he goes to his mother and asks for a survivors list. She obliges, giving him a list of everyone who had entered that ward on the same day as he did. ...Some names were missing, Lucas in particular... but Melody is back. Melody is BACK.

Thankful and grateful, he wheels over to her room where they have a sad, for somewhat unexplainable reasons, and happy reunion. Tinged with bittersweet moods, Ignacio decides to twist this around by suggesting they have a wheelchair race down the hall. Melody convinces Mrs. McLaughlin-Araya to get her a wheelchair because she hurts (it was clearly Ignacio's fault, and she gives him a scolding glare), before they wheel to the end of the hallway and insanely whip themselves down the hallway to the cafeteria.

Where they enjoy dinner as if nothing had happened. Poor Mama Araya.
