-It was no lie. Lucas had been a little bummed when he checked out the house listings, finding that his casual eating aquaintance was not on it again this year. The two had had fun the year before, but all was not lost. Just because they couldn't eat dinner together, that didn't say anything about lunch.

The pale haired gamer had slapped a note on Ignacio's door earlier that day when he walked by on the way to class. 'Picnic lunch on the quad. Luc' Short, sweet, to the point.

Stretching out comfortably at one of the many benches that littered the school grounds, he waited now, enjoying the nice weather. It wouldn't be long until winter came, and winter fashion was most definately not his favorite.

Oh well.. atleast it led to more touching. Girls seemed oddly more inclined to being hovered over or wrapped up in a guy's arms when the snow was falling.-

(( Stupid PM-eating Gaia. XD Sorry I didn't tag this earlier.
Since this started on Thursday... I'm gonna go ahead and assume it's before the update. ))

The house-listings had a tendency of being disappointing. Not only were the people in the houses rather frustrating, there was also a habit they had of picking incredibly odd names. What exactly had he done to get landed in Rabies house? And how had Lucas landed himself into Ebola house?

While he pondered the list for a few minutes, the prone-to-distraction Ignacio decided that it really didn't matter in the end besides for the fact that he could no longer eat dinner with Lucas. That was disappointing, to say the least. Their meals had always been one of the things he consistently looked forward to throughout the day.

...But as he found, they could still eat lunch together. The redhead had found a brief note to eat lunch on the quad... with Lucas. Ignacio grinned wildly, ripping the note off the door and all too eagerly throwing his stuff down and going to join his friend.

Hey, nothing said he couldn't be eager, right?

"Lucas!" called Ignacio, once he made it out to the quad and spotted his fair-haired friend sitting on the bench. Lucas was always easy to pick out, though Ignacio was a little surprised that he hadn't picked somewhere today where he had a convenient view of every female in the Quad. "Sucks that we're not in the same house." Ignacio usually got straight to the point himself, and today was no exception, as he popped down next to Lucas and glanced over to the man who was arguably one of his better friends on campus.

"...Still, 'spose we can still have lunch time." One of his typical grins spread on his face as he moved on to ask, "So, what did you bring in the basket? Something good I hope."

"Hey" -He lifted a hand as he shouted in greeting, noticing the familar figure from a far.

As Ignacio settled down onto the bench, he simply nodded to the sentiment, placing the large paper bag between the two of them with a laugh.- "Haaa, you know the closest I get to cooking man is those dorky Cooking Mama games."

-As he pulled out the spread it wasn't bad.. but it certainly wasn't gourmet either. A half eaten container of oreos, a stack of pringles, a ziploc bag of some nacho flavored Dorito's (which Lucas smirked about as he sat them in front of his friend), some sodas, and two sandwiches, thick with meats and cheeses, but very little else. A man's lunch. A lazy freaking man's lunch. But food was food you know?

Grasping one of the sandwiches, he began to unwrap it, eyes scanning the grassy school grounds mildly.- "Missed you over the summer bud. You been keeping out of trouble since we got back?"

At the mention of Cooking Mama, Ignacio rolled his eyes. "I saw some people playing that game over the summer." Didn't he? For some reason his mind felt a little foggy as he attempted to recall the events. ...Never mind that. Ignacio shifted his attention to the goods that Lucas began to pull out of his paper bag.

Oreos, good. Pringles, good. ...Nacho-flavored Doritos?! Knowing the exact reason why Lucas would pick those particular kind, the freckled man narrowed his eyes and glared mildly, not truly mad but certainly a little annoyed at the subtle jab. Still, it seemed to wash off him like water in a shower, and soon enough, Ignacio was reaching over to a meaty and cheesy sandwich (which were just the way he liked them, in any case, unless he felt like being a chef for some reason or another).

"My summer was okay." And yet, Ignacio could recall very little about it. He was sure it had to be good--summers were never boring--but he couldn't come up with one event that happened. Well, he was sure he had gone to, "There were plenty of barbecues and pool parties. Good food, good people, good times, good weather. You know?" He lifted his sandwich as if cheering before beginning to eat it.

"Been staying out of too much trouble, though I still wanna know what I did to get into Rabies house." The thought was back again, and Ignacio was back to pondering on it. Hell, how had other people gotten into their houses, and what had possessed the administration this year to think of such odd names? Ebola, Black Death, Rabies... all of the names were terrible diseases.

...No matter. Maybe they had been smoking weed and thought the idea sounded great at the time. "And you, Lucas? How was your summer? And have you been keeping out of any trouble?" Knowing Lucas... the answer was probably no.

-He waited for it, and was dually pleased with the slight glare he received, his own grin widening before he took a big ol' bite out of his sandwich, grin persisting between chews.-

"Some b***h hit me with a plate" -He stated matter of factly, as an answer to his question. It seemed like a sad, but fairly common sort of thing, so he wouldnt bother to explain it unless the other guy asked.

And just as he was about to string together a nice 'fish story' about his summer, he caught the flash of female thigh and jingle jangle of jewelry.-

"Becky..." -He crooned after he swallowed.-

"You're looking exceptionally doable today babe." -It was pretty clear HE thought it was a compliment.-

Unfortunately, it was common. If it was anyone else who had managed to get themselves smacked with a plate, Ignacio would have asked. In the case of Lucas, well, Ignacio accepted it as common place. "Healing well?" asked Ignacio, curiously, before he noticed Lucas' eyes move.

...Oh no.

It seemed that Lucas never learned. Doable wasn't exactly what Ignacio would call a compliment, and while it wasn't an insult it definitely wasn't something this poor girl wanted to hear today, especially from the notorious Lucas. While the woman was definitely attractive and definitely looked like someone that Ignacio would eagerly take to bed with him, that wasn't exactly what Ignacio would call the way to go about it.

Still, this would probably be amusing. Ignacio sat back and ate his sandwich as he waited for what would be an inevitable slap. And once that happened, Ignacio would swoop in and show how it was really done. As per usual. Aah, it was nice to be back to the good old days of lunch with his good, albeit ignorant, friend.

"Lucas," chided Ignacio with a small grin, obviously intended as a serious warning, "I wouldn't recommend calling anyone 'doable.'"
