((OOC: Someone come in and talk to Gray! <3 I promise he won't try to nom any humans right away - resist it as long as he can, you know - but he needs someone to hang with. c: ))
The room was mostly dark, but that didn't seem to bother him. Nothing really bothered him at the moment, not after the surreal events that had occurred in the last days of his life. Idly, he wondered if he was dead, but that didn't seem to exactly fit, either. Frankly, he had no idea what was going on, except that he was hungry.
Pressing a hand to his stomach, he frowned, expression a little sickly. Gray wasn't entirely certain what was going on, but he knew that he was hungry, and not for anything he was used to.
Hotdogs didn't sound good. He couldn't remember a time when hotdogs hadn't sounded good, so he knew something was terribly wrong.
Well, that, and...
"My head." Reaching up, he touched fingers to the side of his head, expression crumbling as the edges of his fingers explored a wound. Right, he'd shot himself. Him and Benny, so that they wouldn't have to kill anyone. So that... so that they wouldn't become monsters.
As he examined the greenish tint to the back of his hand, he wondered if it had worked after all.
Rising, limbs feeling heavy, he made his way to the door, steps slow and dragging. God, he was hungry. Really, really hungry, like after that dream where he'd eaten Alease.
Gnawing his bottom lip, he shoved a desk aside, creeped out into a hallway. No one was around, and maybe that was a good thing. Grayson didn't want to hurt anyone, but he had the feeling that if something came along, he might not exactly be able to help himself.
He closed his eyes, sighed. Why couldn't he have just stayed dead? He'd made his peace, as much as he could. Whatever he'd become, it wasn't something he wanted, wasn't what he'd had in mind when he'd stood hand in hand with Benny and -
"Benny." Violet eyes wide, he stopped suddenly, stomach twisting. What had happened to Benny?

(( From the timestamp from the first post in the SD... Ignacio never got to have the lovely eating-a-friend dream. So I'm acting as such. XD ))
So it was a dream.
It was all a dream.
Ignacio groaned, rolling his shoulders and jerking his head from right to left. It felt like he had been asleep for ages. His bones were cracking and his muscles were looser than they had been, but he supposed that he just needed some waking up. It was a pretty awful dream. It was a dream where he saw his own death, a death that led him into an eternal abyss...
...or not.
He reached up to rub his temples before his eyes stopped on his hands. Green? Why was he turning green? He turned his hand every which way and rubbed his eyes to make sure he wasn't just dreaming still, but no, indeed, the green was still there. It was odd, like the panging hunger in his stomach, but it was nothing he hadn't had before. He just needed some food, some delicious food, some bloody and dripping and fresh flesh--
wait what?
That was an odd tangent. He just wanted some steak. That wasn't a bad thing, right? And his hands were just green. That was totally normal. Ignacio was certainly taking it as such for now as he headed into the hallway, calmly shutting the door behind him. After a few steps, he was beginning to feel a little better. Must have just been oversleep is all. Maybe that was why his hunger was so ravenous. It had been ages since he had eaten last, ages since he had walked last, ages since he had even opened his ears to listen last.
"Benny."
Benson Beldon. Ignacio knew that name; he was the douchenozzle that everyone knew, the one that insisted on calling him Nacho no matter how much he snapped and threatened to destroy him. It would be nice to wring his neck now for all of those times that he had irritatingly said "Hey Nacho!" or anything about Nacho Araya Cheese.
What he wouldn't do to watch that face turn blue right about now.
"Not Benny," announced Ignacio, casually as ever, with an odd glint in his usually cheerful eyes. The odd glint seemed to vanish as he focused on the figure in front of him, though, as if the thoughts were melted away by the typical nonchalantness he always seemed to carry around him. Melted away ever so typically... for the moment, anyway. "'Nacio, actually. You look a little green. And hungry." So was he. So very, very, very hungry. Did this man have any steaks on him?

Head swinging toward the sound of the voice, Grayson blinked, bringing a hand up to shield the wound on the side of his head from view. Though he wasn't one hundred percent certain what was going on, he did know that seeing the entry wound from a bullet hole would probably send anyone coming near him in the opposite direction, fast. Ever since he'd woken up in the forest, he hadn't had much contact from anyone, so he didn't want to scare them off right away.
Of course, as his gaze fell on the other boy, he realized his skin was also tinged quite green. So, he was in the same position?
Ignacio. Ignacio Araya, the first victim of bac--no, of the school. The first one who had died. Eyes widening, Gray stepped closed, curiosity on his face. "'Nacio? You're okay?"
Okay didn't seem to be quite the right word for it, all things considered, but it was good to see him. They hadn't been close, but Gray had been sad to hear his classmate passed, back when he'd thought it was a sickness. Whatever had happened to him had obviously also happened to Ignacio, so maybe they could get to the bottom of it together?
And maybe they could find some food? His hand vised on his stomach, something pained going over his face, as he tried to ignore it.
"I am hungry. Really hungry." He hesitated, not wanting to explain, exactly, what he was hungry for.
Glancing around, he sighed a little. No one else still. Good, and bad. "Are you hungry?"

"I'm alright." That might have just been Ignacio's casual nature doing the talking, considering he looked quite not alright. His movements were still a little stiff--that three weeks being dead was never quite good for a person--and he was green. Sickly green. Despite the fact that Ignacio looked Irish, being green wasn't exactly part of the appearance (except on Saint Patrick's Day, anyway, and that was several months away).
Ignacio was blissfully unaware that anyone else had died. Hell, he was unaware that he had really died. It just seemed like a nap that had gone on for far too long, and there were no outer injuries to prove anything unless the odd green shade was an indicator of something he was failing to acknowledge. And hey, Grayson's skin was the same shade as his own!
...Perhaps it was just his eyes after all. He vaguely rubbed his eye again, blinked, and shook out his shoulders again. Still green. Hm. Needed a little waking up was all. And some steak, nice juicy steak. "Just overslept," added he, casually, before moving on.
Good, Gray was hungry too. Maybe he had too overslept. And they could get some food while Ignacio stretched out his achy bones. He shook out a leg while listening to Grayson, nodding. "Yeah. Really hungry too. I have a craving for steak; not too sure why... raw steak at that." Saimin was all Ignacio ever seemed to eat sometimes. Hungry? Bowl of saimin. Not hungry? Bowl of saimin!
"Wanna get some?" Food sounded good. It sounded really good. Without waiting for much of a response, Ignacio turned himself around and started heading in the direction of the dorms, not having any idea that those too had been destroyed at Barren Pines.

The prospect of getting food was normally a very cheerful one to Grayson, but nothing was exactly normal anymore. He found himself hesitating, one hand still lightly touching the side of his head, as his gaze traveled down the hall. He wasn't sure what had happened to the school, except that after he'd woken up and ambled inside, things seemed to be really different. Almost like there had been a fire - terrible thing, really - and he wondered what the extent of the damage was.
If he was more ambitious, he'd go have a look around. Thus far, he'd only been compelled to find a room with a roof over his head, more likely for the comfort of the surroundings than anything else. He was still truly hungry, but at least he was in a somewhat familiar place.
Even if he was dead. Gray remembered dying quite clearly, and the wound in the side of his head was a great reminder of that fact. Well, that, and the unnatural desire to consume human flesh, like in that dream that he'd had.
Lips tugging down at the corners, he decided he didn't really like being dead. It didn't seem too much different from being alive, except he had some crazy urges and the nagging desire, in the back of his mind, to go and do something truly heinous. What, he wasn't sure, he just knew that there was a part of him now that wanted to go out and cause trouble.
Maybe he ought to get away from the school before he hurt someone.
Placing his free hand against the door frame, he said slowly, "I think there was a fire. Probably not much to eat here."
Except survivors.
Eyes widening, he glanced around, as if expecting the voice to have come from somewhere except his own mind.
Truly uneasy now, Gray began to step back, shaking his head as though to dislodge whatever force was giving him undesired thoughts. "On second thought, I don't want to eat. I think I'll just stay here. Things are a little... strange."
He stepped back into the shadows, stomach clenching painfully as he did.

Okay, why wasn't Grayson coming? They were going to go get food together, right? Ignacio waited a few impatient moments--the hunger was overwhelming, he needed to eat, eat, eat right then and there--before whirling around to get another look at the other he had managed to find. Why was he touching the side of his head like that? Why did he look so sick?
...Why was there a fire and how exactly had he missed that? Unwilling to let Grayson just slip away and wanting some answers, Ignacio stepped forward as Grayson stepped back. "Wait. You mean to tell me there was a fire? Now how did I miss that one?" Could explain why he had drowsily found himself in a forest, but Ignacio had originally figured he had just done something stupid with Lucas the night before. Would have explained the deadly nightmare he had.
"And why are you so hesitant? We're just getting steak. Bloody, fleshy steak."
The usually nonchalant student paled at his own words, the odd want of something fleshy in particular coming back to mind. Why would he ever want that? All he needed was bloody steak, extra rare. Just cooked enough that he wouldn't get some strange disease from it, right? Right. Sure. Mind wandering, Ignacio looked back to his hands again to see if they had lost their green tinge.
Nope, still green. Still sickly green. How exactly had that happened? He woke up in a forest; that was green but he was pretty sure that wouldn't stain his skin--bah, whatever. What was he talking about again?
As his stomach groaned for relief, the thoughts immediately flooded back into his mind. Flesh. Flesh and blood. Delicious hunger for flesh and blood--okay, this was disgusting. No more Resident Evil 4 before bed. "Gray, I didn't mean what I just said." At least, he hoped he didn't.

Things weren't looking good at all. Not only was Gray a little nervous about his own thoughts, now he had to deal with Ignacio - Ignacio who was just as dead as he apparently was, only a little less in the know about it - as well as the consuming, gnawing hunger that was plaguing him. It was too much at once, really, especially considering he'd only been awake - alive? dead? undead? - for a half an hour at the most.
Lips pulling back into something of a snarl, Gray edged away once more, disliking the fact that his former classmate wouldn't cease his approach. Almost as soon as he made the face he relaxed it, astonished and ashamed at himself, hoping Ignacio hadn't seen. He was a little overwhelmed, to be honest, and was finding it a little difficult to think straight when the other boy kept mentioning food.
"I think there was a fire. I saw some, you know, burn marks on the walls. I don't know, I wasn't... here."
Hunching his shoulders inward, Gray shook his head once more, training his thoughts on something positive. Benny, right. He needed to find Benny. Most of him hoped that his prom date wouldn't have revived as - as whatever Gray had, but the logical part of him suspected that he had. After all, they'd died the exact same way, at nearly the same time. What else would have happened?
"-steak. Bloody, fleshy steak."
His mouth began to water, and Gray edged forward, something hungry coming into his face. It sounded good, too good. He hadn't eaten in so long, either. He lowered his hand, exposing the side of his head - or rather, what remained of the side of his head - and ran his tongue along his bottom lip.
Fleshy. That sounded... good.
"No!" Flinging his hands up, he stumbled backward again, holding his palms out as if to ward away Ignacio. "Stop talking about that! I don't want to eat anyone!"
Because it wasn't steak he wanted.
It was human flesh. The need for it was more than a craving, more than a pang. He felt like he would go insane, wither, die without flesh.
And it scared him.
Turning away, hands hovering against the sides of his head, he spoke in a calmer tone. "Sorry, sorry, I just -- stop talking about that, I don't -- I don't want to eat."

Grayson could only guess there was a fire? He wasn't there either? It sparked Ignacio's curiosity, for even just a moment. How could they have both managed to sleep through a dorm fire? Ignacio supposed it couldn't have been unheard of... Yeah, it was normal. They had both probably done stupid things the night before, maybe in the same group, and they had some how ended up in the forest tinted with green.
He was perfectly willing to buy into that, because Ignacio wasn't that concerned of a man. As soon as he could rationalize everything at least with some vague explanation, he was on to something else. Hell, sometimes he was on to another topic before he had fully rationalized the first one.
But there was one piece of information that was missing, and when he saw it, even Ignacio's constantly moving mind had to freeze on something, focus on something, picture one thing in bafflement.
Was that a bullet exit wound? On his head?
Despite the very odd way Grayson was lurching towards him, all Ignacio noticed was the exit wound. Was Grayson dead? ...Was he dead? Just because he was inattentive didn't necessarily mean he wasn't quick to put two and two together, and suddenly it all made sense. So that was why he was green and why he felt like he came out of Resident Evil 4. He was actually dead. He died from sarin nerve gas. He actually died from sarin nerve gas.
The realization was a little jarring, but he swallowed hard. Nothing bothered Ignacio Araya. He was immortal (after all, he was still standing, wasn't he?), he would get through this too. "It's... it's alright." Though his stomach groaned in pain, Ignacio was a little more inclined to ignore it in favor of his wandering mind. If he was dead, and Grayson was dead, what had happened here?
"I... understand. Believe me, my cravings are... abnormal at best too." He admitted, before glancing to the side to observe the walls for any of those 'burn marks' Grayson was referring to. What had happened here? Suddenly, as per usual with Ignacio, he quipped, "If we're dead, why are we here? Who put us here? And how do we reverse this?"

Calmer now that Ignacio had ceased talking about food, Gray eased his hands down, though there was still worry lingering on his face. Nothing seemed right, least of all the fact that he was moving around and craving flesh, but he could at least try to gain some semblance of control for the situation. That's what he'd done in that apartment, right? When left with no other options, he'd decided to go out on his own terms. Take his own life, instead of being killed by poison, or by the hands of one of his classmates.
At the time, it had seemed like the best choice. When it came down to kill or be killed, he couldn't see how anyone would honestly turn their gun on another student. A friend. Someone who was just as trapped as they were.
He'd known that no one else would really ever know what happened. If any of the other students even made it out of there, they'd likely be quickly silenced. That kind of thing couldn't go unnoticed, right? So any survivors would have to be taken care of. His parents and his brother would never really know that he'd chosen to end his own life rather than take someone else's.
Still, he felt good about his choice.
Or, he had, until he'd woken up as a... a zombie, or something.
He sighed, feeling much calmer once he'd thought out his last moments a little more. What could he really do, anyway? He was stuck like this, apparently, until he.. died again? Was eaten by another zombie? Starved?
Because he was not going to eat someone else. He'd died once instead of hurting his friends, and he could do it again. Maybe it wouldn't be as instant or painless, but damn it, he wasn't some kind of killer.
Just how many times did someone have to die before they were able to rest, anyway?
Curling his hand into a fist against the side of his head, he murmured, "I won't be able to give you any answers. I'm just as confused as you are. Though, the fire was only in the dorms... I think."
He knew when he'd tried to make his way back to his room that it had been impossible, anyway.
"I don't know what to do." His stomach rumbled, and he looked down at it, faintly annoyed. "Maybe sleep."
When he looked back to Ignacio, there was determination in his violet eyes. "Because I am not-" his voice grew more firm, and his chin jutted out. "-eating anyone. If I have to, I killed myself once, I can do it again."
Right?
Right.

Ignacio had indeed proven he was effectively immortal. After all, he died from sarin nerve gas. People did not get up after being gassed with sarin nerve gas. At least, people did not get up until now, as he was plenty awake and moving. The odd thing though, was the fact that he wasn't the only one.
Grayson was immortal too.
But it came with such a terrible hunger. A terrible, terrible hunger. He wanted to eat steak, he thought, but now that Grayson pointed out that he didn't want to eat anyone, and wouldn't eat anyone, the feeling of wanting to eat flesh started to click. He wanted fleshy steak because he was thinking of a human T-bone steak. A steak made of the living, like his friends Lucas and Melody...
Despite being such a casual man, and despite being green already, that thought made him want to vomit right then and there. There had to be some way to fix this. Had to be. And sleeping wasn't the way to do it!
Ignacio was active. All the time. His mind jumped from topic to topic in the same way that his body jumped from topic to topic to topic to topic. And that was the way it would always be, even if his bones and muscles were aching and stiff from three weeks of being dead. He wasn't going to lay down and take this whole 'eating other people' thing easily by ignoring the issue with shut eyes.
"Sleeping isn't going to help anything," grumbled Ignacio in return, an oddly determined look crossing the nonchalant man's face. For once, he seemed like he wanted to do something. Wanted to do something right now. His determination matched Grayson's, for similar and different reasons all the same. "We've gotta' look around for answers, find them, and get back to the way we were, Gray. If we wait too long," even Ignacio had to grimly admit some things, "this hunger is already overpowering."

What was wrong with sleeping? Sleeping was a much better alternative to sinking his teeth into Alease's warm, meaty thigh, wasn't it?
Alarmed, both because his thoughts were quickly reverting to the unwanted, and because he was thinking of Alease's thighs, Gray shook his head again, bringing a hand up to swat at the air. As though his unwanted thoughts could be shooed away like a fly, really. But the motion helped him, if only for a moment.
He wondered why he was thinking of eating Alease. Probably because of that dream. Yeah, that was why, there was no other reason he would consider consuming his best friend.
Thinking of her, he wondered. Was she still alive? Had she survived the fire? Was she like him, worst scenario of all? His stomach pitched uneasily, this having nothing to do with hunger, and he edged closer to Ignacio.
Old habits died hard, and he was a man who sought physical contact when he was troubled. Even something as simple as bumping shoulders with another zombie soothed him, though when he got closer, he realized that Ignacio did not exactly smell good.
Funny how he hadn't noticed it before. Chances were, he stank as well, given the fact that he was quite decidedly dead. The thought was still surreal to him, but the evidence of a fatal headshot was real enough.
"I don't know if I can." It wasn't said in a weak, sad voice. Now, Gray sounded simply weary. "Even if I can, I shot myself in the head, 'Nacio. I'm not sure that'll translate well to, you know, living flesh."
When you couldn't beat it, just deal with it, right? Starving to death sounded like a really painful option, but maybe if they looked around, they'd find some way to reverse the situation. Only, unlike Ignacio, Gray wasn't looking to be revived. Sure, he'd only lived seventeen years, but given his last week or so, he was ready to transcend his first life to.. whatever happened next.
Too bad he wasn't religious. He still didn't believe in anything like heaven or hell, and damn it, this was why. Reincarnation, maybe. If he was lucky, he'd become a... tree or something. That was peaceful, and not prone to zombie-like reanimation, right?
Brushing a hand down the front of his shirt, he mused, "Might as well try, though. I... I kind of want to do something."
Anyone who knew Gray knew that statement was off. If he wasn't spinning fire or practicing for it, chances were, he was sprawled out in his underwear asleep somewhere. Still, these weren't normal circumstances, and something had to be done. Maybe there were others like them who needed help? Who were even more confused, or afraid?
Maybe they could find a deer or something to eat.
Sickening a bit at the thought, he nevertheless found himself saying aloud, "Let's go hunt something."
The words were strange coming off his tongue, but at the same time, there was a part of him that was darkly pleased by the thought. It would be thrilling, wouldn't it, to stalk something, smell and taste its fear, take its life and devour its flesh. He wanted to, needed to, even as his stomach clenched and a small voice in the back of his mind screamed no.
He wanted the hunt.
Gaze a little distracted, he began to walk, his footsteps unnaturally loud in the quiet hall. "Maybe.. a deer, or something. We need to eat. If we're distracted by this, we might attack someone. Do something we regret."
Or will I?

"I was gassed," mused Ignacio, aloud, in an odd acknowledgment of his own mortality. Sort of. He was alive now after all. Sort of. "My brain should be defunct, and so should yours by the look of your bullet wound." However, the musing was over as quickly as it started, and Ignacio was all too quickly back to determined statements that left no room for questioning. "There has to be some way around this."
Every action had an opposite, right? So if there was a way to make living things undead there had to be a way to make undead things living once again. Right? Right. And if he was hungry for human flesh now, there had to be a way to stop the hunger.
Unfortunately, the only feasible option for that seemed to be feeding the hunger, letting his teeth tear into the flesh of that pale-haired gamer with a sleazy smile and calloused thumbs. Despite how worldly he was he had to have all sorts of delicious, meaty flavors and his flesh had to be--
And Ignacio felt like he was going to puke again, in spite of himself and his actual urgings that had only been made stronger. His stomach could not keep going on these tangents, even if Ignacio's own mind was prone to them.
...Grayson seemed just as determined as he was, and it was almost unnerving. While the situations called for different reactions, Ignacio knew that his fellow ex-alive classmate wasn't exactly known for being too proactive. Ignacio approved. If he was going to find a way back into his regular life he needed people with him who were willing to follow Ignacio's determined attitude to get back their humanity.
Because there had to be some way. They just needed to go out and find it.
The freckled one seemed to be becoming a little antsy as he bounced from foot to foot, listening to Grayson's suggestion to go on a hunt. He liked this. Hunt down information. Hunt down the living and consume their tender flesh--NO! Hunt down information, hunt down cures, hunt down others, hunt down any signs of humanity left on this campus and beg them for help.
But Grayson wanted to hunt for different reasons. Hunting a deer. It was an interesting idea... Still, Ignacio kept coming back to the same thoughts. He wanted to find clues. Find answers. Find them right now. Before the hunger took them over.
...But he certainly had a point. Ignacio followed.
"Perhaps something in our systems, anything in our systems... will stop the hunger pains. Or at least satiate them, a little." He nodded confidently, moving so he was strolling at Grayson's side instead of behind him. "We should keep our eyes out on the way, though. There might be something useful."
That should be fairly easy for Ignacio. His eyes were more prone to wandering than the sun was prone to going down.

Though the deserted hallways unnerved him, Grayson couldn't seem to work up the effort to be disturbed about much aside from his own hunger. While not a man who considered himself especially strong willed, he had his ideas about how he wanted to live his life and what kind of person he wanted to be remembered as, and flesh-eating zombie was not on that list. He could think of about a million things he'd rather eat than human flesh, actually, on a good day.
Today was not a good day. He was slowly coming to terms with the fact that he was no longer Grayson Graves. He seemed to have all his memories, and his basic personality - except for those weird urges - but Grayson Graves would not be shuffling around with an exit wound in the side of his head from when he'd offed himself. No, Grayson Graves was mortal, and therefore, dead.
The thought wasn't as depressing as it should have been. He'd died; he was all right with that. He'd made the decision, hadn't he? It was this reviving with green skin thing that was bothering him. No one had ever warned him that the end wasn't really the end, and if he thought about it, he was a little irritated.
Irritated, and mostly sad. Because this was no kind of life to have. He certainly didn't want to wander around for the rest of existence craving flesh and blood, and he didn't ever want his family to find out what had become of him. Somehow, the thought of his parents knowing their eldest son was now a zombie was worse than actually being one. And, oh God, Tristan. His brother would never be able to believe it, or worse, forgive him for it.
But, he was alive. Sort of.
It was weird, but even though he'd killed himself once, and he really didn't like the new living arrangements, he was glad to be alive. To see his classmate again. To have a second chance at... something, anything.
He almost didn't want to die again.
But he definitely didn't want to live like this.
"Man..." His voice was soft, and he massaged the back of his neck, gaze traveling around the empty hall. Somewhere along the line, he'd stopped listening while Ignacio was speaking. Not his best habit, but there wasn't much he could do about it.
Not only did his thoughts tend to wander, try as he might, he couldn't quite ignore the rumbling of his stomach. It was basically a lose-lose situation.
He expelled a breath, craned his neck so that he could look at the ceiling. "Things sure are messed up. You know, my parents were really happy when I was accepted here. Really, really happy."
Lips turning upward, smile going fond, he recalled the celebration they'd had in honor of his acceptance to Barren Pines. A big dinner, with family and friends. Even though Tristan had been truly upset, he'd managed to enjoy himself a little, too. It was one of his fondest memories.
"My brother was kind of pissed, but he's that way." He glanced toward Ignacio, expression still soft from thoughts of his family. "I miss them. I'm glad they don't know what it's really like here. I think it would just be too much for them, you know?"

Ignacio didn't mind the silence. It gave him some time to concentrate on shoving down the hunger for the flesh of the people he had once known, for the flesh of Lucas, for the flesh of Melody, for the tender flesh of the teachers and the flesh of the student and... Ignacio mentally cringed. Perhaps that wasn't working too well, but fortunately, his constantly wandering mind also helped him to quickly focus his attentions on something else, like what Grayson began to say.
Grayson seemed to be really attached to his family. It had been so long since Ignacio had seen his; he had been at Barren Pines forever, after all, and he had usually even stayed over the summer to take extra courses because he loved an environment where he could learn a new hobby every week and they would encourage it.
Of course, apparently, that was all false. So much for the open, accepting environment that would let him learn whatever he wanted. Instead, now he was undead, and had to find the equal and opposite reaction that would make himself human once more, alive once more, freckled and pale once more instead of this odd mottled green.
Right, his family. "My parents were thrilled when I got accepted to Barren Pines and all too eagerly sent me here. I've been here for four years, four fantastic years up until now, but I can't really remember much before that. I hardly remember my parents' faces when I think about it." What had this school done to him? He remembered their voices from their calls, remembered their faces from the pictures they sent him...
And yet he couldn't remember how they had sent him off. At all.
That was, perhaps, more disturbing that the hunger that was churning in his stomach, and the highly unusual bothered look crossed his face once again. What exactly was this school that he had forgotten memories of his family? He hadn't been away that long; he had to have still seen them sometimes...
...Well, now he wouldn't at all, not until he ridded himself of the whole undead thing. "Yeah. I hope my family never finds out what transgresses here. You sound like you were close to your family?" Ignacio decided that it was best that they remove their mind as far from the hunger that burned within their stomaches as possible; perhaps that would help them refocus and go on a hunt for clues instead.

It soothed him to think of his parents and brother, moreso to be able able to talk about them. While it didn't take his mind completely off his present situation, Grayson was grateful that Ignacio was humoring the line of conversation. If it kept him lucid for even a few moments longer, kept the demon inside of him at bay, he would treasure every second.
"We're really close. My parents - I have two dads. I guess everyone knows that, but yeah, we're really close." He wondered what they were doing, if they'd even been told that he died. How were they coping, if they knew? How had Tristan reacted?
Were any of his things even in one piece still? He knew his brother's temper, and he also knew that even looking at something that reminded Tristan of him would probably be too much in the face of such an emotional wound. His heart hurt at the thought of it, but there was nothing he could do for his brother.
Even if he could see him, which he wouldn't, it would be too cruel. He was dead, or at least, who he had been was dead, and he knew his family wouldn't want to see him in the state he was in. That hurt, but it was probably for the best.
So what was left for him? Brow creasing, he mused, "We were really close, but they'll be all right without me. I think."
