I suppose I should've listed it as a rule, but there's no way to check to see who voted what, unless you one by one make votes.
In any case, Seph wins pretty much (even though he admitted he won't even participate)

There's still most of a day yet to vote. I know I haven't decided which idea I'm going to vote for at the moment, so it's a bit premature to be making judgments on the outcome.
Also, it comes across (to me anyway) that you think it's a bad thing him not participating. I, for one, think it's purely beneficial to the RP. There should be a more natural development to the story (in the event his does win) as any preconceptions he has about how it will evolve can't happen as he is not actively involved. Moreover, on the administrative role that he appears to be taking, he should be seen a much more objective than anyone who actually has a character in the RP.
Really, his very detailed plot should be seen as a blessing as he himself stands to gain little from it being chosen, and is for the benefit of those of us who do wish to RP. It's not like it's being forced on us. If he wins through a vote, then that's what people want.
But, that's just what I think. I might be the only one.

On the flip side, didn't EK say awhile back he wasn't going to participate in the RP development?

Which, I didn't really, seeing as most of the ideas are all the same.

Only 'cause everyone tipped in to the stew of ideas. Besides, why complain Seph is winning when everyone except him is going to benefit with the RP starting up?

Seph's idea wins by a landslide, so I'm closing the vote early.
Now, next question: how many threads should we use for the roleplay? One or multiple?
Voting will end this evening at 4 PM Pacific.

No more than 3 in my opinion; the Main RP, OOC, and maybe a Summary if we can get that to work again.

Multiple threads please. I really hate having to flip through a ton of pages just to read a single post. And if I’m gone for a few days and the post count is high.
Should just make a thread for each faction, you know, like, One for the Republic, One for the Empire, One for the Jedi, One for the Sith, One for dedicated missions pertaining to the RP, And a few for others stuff.
In each thread will contain a list of planets under that faction’s control. At the beginning of each post you made note of who and where your character is, like so,
Asrial Cap’rion; Coruscant >>> hyperspace Or Asrial Cap’rion; Dantooine, Jedi Academy
If you go to one of your enemies planets, you make your post in the appropriate thread.
Do I need to elaborate on this more or do you guys get the idea?

I personally like the idea of a planet for each thread, so there's no confusing where anyone is, since you know if there post is there, then they're there
But, I put the vote up because some people complained that multiple threads, so I wanted to see everyone's opinions on it, before we got to work
One thing we could do is say which side each planet is on. Like:
Coruscant (Imperial Capital) Kuat: Kuat Drive Yards (Imperial) Alderaan (Republic Capital) Chandrilla (Republic) Geonosis (Republic) Korriban (Sith Capital) Tython (Jedi Capital)

Not sure on this one, the thread for each faction sounds good, but for the most part the thread per-planet method works with little confusion.
It's all a matter of what people are more willing to do, I can imagine some people forgetting to write their location if they get really into what they're writing but the same is true for remembering which thread they should post in in the case they're on something like a cruiser that's not under their command and it changes location without them being aware.

True
Really, the important thing is to keep track of where you are, and pay attention to the posts

After looking at a few of the placed RP threads I'm going to have to go with planet-per-thread since there will neutral parties and lumping them all together just would add confusion depending on how many people don't take a side.

It may seem like a bit of a pain but players should pay attention to what is going on in the RP, and communicate with each other.
Like so; Asrial Cap’rion, Aboard the YT-1300 Sunlight; Coruscant>>>Hyperspace We have a who’s making the post, the ship, and where the ship was and where the ship is going. Again in a shorter form, Asrial Cap’rion, Sunlight; Hyperspace>>>Dantooine

But "players should pay attention to what is going on" also applies to having individual threads for the planets and actually gives less work to the players in terms of what they have to post.

First and foremost, I wanna say that I haven't voted in any of the polls we've had regarding the RP. As I'm not participating, it'd be unfair for me to distort the vote results away from what those who are actually going to RP. Even though I posted a story suggestion, it was more to flex my creative muscles than to actually win. Anyway, with that out of the way, I can still add my two cents. The story I wrote out was designed to solely take place on Corellia to start with, so that people would almost be forced to RP side-by-side. Then, as the RP branches out into new planets later, you'd already have "hardened" players with connections and experiences to pass on. I was going to suggest dividing Corellia up into three of four threads. Each faction has one city as their HQ, with the other one or two threads being contested territories in which battles take place. Once the two areas are successfully won, a final assault can happen on the losing factions HQ. If they should lose that too, they retreat to another planet, as then the story branches out. Still, I'm not forcing this on anyone, just suggesting. There is, however, something I am going to force on the RP, merely because I want to see how well it works, and that is a Ranking System. In the past, only Force Users have had ranks with benefits, and that is unfair. It doesn't give non-Force User characters incentives to remain active. The thread is here. I'd like you all the read it and give some quick feedback. It is intentionally short, as it is only a test model. If it doesn't work, then there isn't a lot of wasted effort. If it does work, it can easily be expanded. I know it isn't finished, but I'm sick and I wanna go to bed now. It'll get finished tomorrow. And on that note, I've also made the other threads required for the RP, with the exception of the actual RPing threads, as they haven't been decided upon yet.
