Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf's a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf,
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day
Nothing gold can stay.

And the first chapter of my Power of Darkness story, currently being turned into a webcomic
Chapter 1
Alone...
The boy was all alone again...
The same way he was for so many decades...
His family, abandoned him...
Love, destroyed him..
Friends, betrayed him....
Slowly, he slipped into a state of peaceful bliss...
The bullet wound had penetrated his heart... He would die.. alone...
He smiled, as he looked down to his body.. Finally, he would die..
He closed his eyes, rising up...
Suddenly, he felt air in his lungs...
What was going on? What happened? Wasnt he dead?
There was laughter in his mind...
"Not yet young one... You cant die yet...
First, you must have your vengeance...
All those who harmed you... they must all die..
Kill them, and you will be free of pain, forever..."
The boy didnt understand, but he awoke..
Still in the dark alley where those he trusted left him..
He felt where the bullet hit...
The hole was still there... Why...
Looking around, he noticed a discareded and ragged cloak...
He took it, putting it about himself, and moved from the alley...
His eyes began to glow fiercely as he recalled all that happened...
Trapped back there, watching in horror..
His loved one... allowing herself to be taken advantage of...
Mocking him the entire time.. calling him a fool...
Then, the gun.. the shot.. the stinging pain...
And now... through some miracle, he was alive...
And ready for revenge...
He knew what was happening... the voices in him...
The darkness he was told of as a child...
What he was born with, what he possessed...
The power to choose good and evil..
The lines had been drawn, the choices had been made...
Good and evil would fight in him...
But it seemed that now, evil was the victor...
He smirked, malice show in his face...
And made his way for the heart of the city...
It was time.. time.. for revenge...
[edit] if anyone likes the story, let me know. the entire thing is done, but i usually only post the first chapter, unless requested to put more of them up

I'll show you what I can do with MSPaint by itself.   This was requested last Halloween. Someone from Gaia wanted me to draw Jareth from "Labyrinth" biting her in the neck for 10K gold.

Here's my drawing that I did a while back. Failed at the lineart, so I only did the face, and left everything else alone... Might color one day :] It was a quick sketch...
