“I don’t know. He didn’t like to get close to people and didn’t talk about himself much. Talk about rough around the edges, this guy was a porcupine. All he cared about was getting into fights and chasing women, a wise and world weary sage of the savannah, both a gentleman and a ruffian. His name was Ujiti.”
The words rolled off his tongue like rainwater. The only lie he told was that Ujiti had been a god, though if Ujiti was still alive he might have disagreed. There was a certain spark in Hero’s eyes when he talked about him. Although they never quite saw eye to eye he idolized that crusty old son of a b***h more than Ujiti ever realized.

"Well, maybe he needs a lesson handed to him then." She said with a snort. Who cares about rude males. What was about fighting anyways? But then again, sometimes it was fun to lose control. She knew it too well. Would she ever admit it? Nope. "Maybe gods just have a problem with power." She thought more to herself then to him. Maybe that's the reason she wasn't one, maybe she'd abuse the power..... Oh well.

Hero laughed warmly at that. Ujiti did need someone to teach him a lesson. Even death couldn't teach him humility. He was a true rogue, fearless to the end and true to himself no matter the consequences. Even bastards have to be admired for their integrity.
"Are you hungry? I bet you've never seen a pink lion chase gazelle before." He grinned tenaciously. His coat was a huge disadvantage, even at night, but he had learned to live with his handycap.
((I'm thinking we should fade out in the next couple posts.... getting kinda long.))

" I could do it... Though I hear gods can only be hurt by other gods." She pondered... Perhaps she herself was really a god and she never knew it... Nah, that couldn't happen. She shrugged her shoulders and looked at him. "I guess I could use a bit of food, but I donno what I want exactly. So I guess surprise me." She smiled at him hoping he could hunt, cause she didn't really want to kill anything at the moment. She could eat anything right now, fruit, meat, you name it. "cannot say I have seen a pink lion chase a Gazelle. "

“Oh, it’s an acquired skill. Sometimes they’ll see me coming from a mile away and I’ll have to sprint to catch one of them. So I’ve gotten pretty fast. I bet I might even be able to race a cheetah,” Hero bragged. He would probably lose that race, knowing how fast those log legged cats could run, but he reckoned he’d put up a pretty good fight, given his endurance.
Together the pair walked off into the muggy horizon, in search of food.
