I think if we do more as a clan, and keep peoples attention. If we are not doing much then why would they want to stay around. What we need to do is something original, and lot of fun. If we can get the clan member involved that might help. Problem is what though.
It's hard when only a few take part. So many members rarely post here anymore. Look at the post count for the members here. Enough said.

Then those people who are uninterested should let us know what they want. Nobody can read minds, after all.
I think, if they started with simply communicating their ideas, the clan could work to include their interests. But if they don't say anything, we can't be expected be able to include them.

I agree. You never know they might have a great idea or something. It just shows a lack of interest. Look we have been around for over two years. We could have done so much more, it's hard for just a few people to do the stuff that they want to.

I try my best to participate, but because of my odd time zone, usually participating means meeting people who just woke up and are about to head off or people who have stayed up till midnight and are about to sleep xD
Recruiting people will be hard, I mean we've come across this before.
On the note about people not going to the meetings regardless that they are online daily, I really don't know, either they have nothing to say and don't want to tell us that OR getting to the meetings is a bit of a hassle and a task that is easily forgotten.
As Darc stated, lots's plans that get thought of usually just fall through.
In terms of participation....hopefully the Halloween event is good. HOPEFULLY. If it is anything like this last event, then we can expect an EXACT turnout of participation like the last one. The event thread for TROGK went to how many pages? 5?
Sometimes participation depends on Gaia's part as well (sometimes), but I guess it's those situations where you are given lemons and you make lemonade----or something like that.
For meetings. We just need more substance and an open mind that the floor is usually open. It's best to treat meetings like we really are getting together and actually talking. So you know, shots in the darkness, random news, and even gossip is somewhat ok to say, much better than saying "I've got nothing" (which is what I do rather often xD), but I guess it's either we are too lazy to do that OR we are afraid to do that.
AS tony has said earlier, we need to communicate, communication is key if we are to stay in touch with each other as a Clan. So fix those damn TROGK standard issued radio headsets already lol
Anyways, there is some text for you to chew on, from me, in the meantime.

I didn't even know the meeting was up until yesterday >_>;;;;
Okay, first off... I hated the event, the items were not worth the effort. So I stopped playing after I got to level 3.
Now for zOMG, yeah I'm still not playing. I'll pop in every now and then but.... It's not something I do frequently.
AS FOR THE CLAN'S PROBLEMS AS A WHOLE... Yeah we're ********. I heard through the grapevine that zOMG will be going out of Beta soon, and if we don't get some new blood in here before then we're going to be SOL. But we can't get more members if we aren't more active.
Soo... Yeah. Those of you who can play get to it, those of us who can't or have lost interest will kick back with lemonade while going over PR strategies.

Lets start from the list shall we:
The summer event wasn't worth the effort I was trying to put into it. So I stopped after 2-3 days I think.
As far as zOMG is concerned I've slowed my play on it. I'm pretty much at the point where I can't do anymore without a good crew and whenever I get on most crews are... well to put it bluntly... ******** far as the clan is concerned and how its apparently crumbling... There's just one question I have to ask: other than come here every 2 weeks for these meetings... What the hell do we actually do here?!
I mean seriously this clan started out as a zOMG battle clan, but slowly we've lost members due to lack of activity and what not. But because zOMG is well... plot dead were now losing people due to lack of interest of said game. But what do we do mostly in the thread nowadays? Most of us post only single emotes as a post. And for the clan other than these meetings and an odd thread that pops up that we find out about in the thread what do we do? looks like not much to me...
VC and Crew need to get together and look through this WHOLE Clan take a look at what needs to be here and what can be tossed out give it a clean slate of sorts.

Were just falling apart. The meetings were used to come up with new ideas, but everytime we come up with something we don't follow through with it. We really need to come up with some new stuff that everyone can, and will take part in. As I said it's hard when maybe 3-4 will actually take part.
If we want to play zOMG some can play some can't. A lot of the contest, are the same. Problem is a lot of people just don't want to take part.
If the ones that never take part, maybe they should try to come up with some ideas.
We don't have to just be all about zOMG. We do have some cool stuff going on too. 3nodding

Unfortunately it's plot dead, I'll give it that much. And so far everyone didn't like the event.
In terms of activity, how about some ideas on it?
We could so a clean slate thing Midnight, but if it's anything like last time it might have an effect on the clan for the first few months, then back to dirty slate.
@Darc Nightgale: as sad it sounds it's true gonk
Soemthing else other than zOMG, Tony did suggest the fishing idea (which I though was really cool), but I haven't fished in a while sweatdrop and the game always glitched on me form the screen to blankness.
Maybe we should have a serious brainstorm meeting to come up with ways to save TROGK? Even stupid ideas will be accepted as a "suggestion". Even thought regular meetings are supposed to have served that purpose.

I don't think we should star over, but do a major overhaul here.
Another problem is with so few member it just hard to do stuff. In the near future we need to come up with some way to recruit new members. I mean once things get taken care of first.
I really like Tony's fishing idea. I've been catching as many fish as possible. Though I do have the game glitch from time to time. If you think about you could do something similiar with zOMG, people could collect the ingredients. Then use those to make the items.
I think if we do have a brainstorming meeting, it should be open to all the members, that way everyone can take part.

Waht kind of over haul should take place? When I think of over haul I think of redecorating. Kain ddi that though.
Yes. recruitment later, we need to fix ourselves up first.
WE could and should have been doing similar to Tony's fishing idea in zOMG, but it was more of an individual effort kind of thing, like if you had "it" at some random time I asked---then good, if not, then ok, ask someone else.
Is there members who can't come to the meeting?

The only members who can't come are those who are on vacation, or have a lack of computer. Otherwise, there shouldn't be a problem. It's a few clicks and you're there. Hell, if it be made easier, I'll add a link to the front page specifically to the Meetings Sub forum.
I like the idea of an overhaul. And I'd personally like to get it started now. First, I think it would be wise to take a look at the dead threads and see if we can either salvage them or trash them.
TROGK get-together in zOMG! with Wingding Shirts. (Trash) The TROGK Test Kitchen! Open for business! (Not sure) TRoGK Event Discussion Thread (Salvage?) Graphic Update-What do you want to see? (Trash) New Front Page (trash) Add-on for fishing for easier access for lakes (Salvage?) Darc's Emoticons (Now open) (Salvage) Chit-Chat (Salvage) Collaborative Fishing Project (Salvage?)
There's also the Subforum to look at, as the majority of them are now dead. Crew Lounge (Salvage) Meeting Area (Salvage) zOMG! Related (Salvage) T.R.O.G.K. Fanfictions (Salvage) Trash Bin (Salvage) The T.R.O.G.K. MultiMedia Center (Trash?) The T.R.O.G.K. Media Entertainment Center (Trash?)
These are my thoughts so far.
============================== Secondly, a sent PM seems to be needed again. But first, I think we ought to send out a PM asking ALL of the members if they want to stay or quit. They have the option. Personally, I'm not going to ban any member, as I feel I'm not giving them a choice. Others may not feel the same way as I do, and that's perfectly fine.
They can give a reply with "I'll stay" or "I quit" No responses automatically mean they don't care enough to answer and will be banned. That I WILL do, as they waved their choice away.
Then, we can send out PMs (any one in VC can do this) about meetings and events. If we decide to hold events, we as a cabinet have to come together and come up with ideas. It's not just one person's blame, it's shared by everyone.
=============================== Now, on with the Halloween Event.
What kind of contests should we have? 50/50? Spooky Tektek? Best Halloween Themed avatar (not Tektek), Raffle, etc etc etc...
We can do a little Role Play here, very much like our shenanigans in The Office: Trogk Edition. I'm sure there WILL be a Halloween Event in zOMG!, but my question is, will people participate in it?
How do you like the idea of having your character drawn and posted? I mean, I can do it, but only for those who want to participate. Radu has some skills, and he's ALWAYS bored. This would be a good job for him to do, as well. Or anyone for that matter.

By overhaul I mean we look at each thread and if no one has posted in said thread in like months or something then we scrap it.
And as for these game item stocking events why is it that we cant keep them going despite lack of participation? I mean all these items are pretty much staying in one spot: the mule account. I would say that we have all these things fish, trash, bugs, zomg loot etc. as one big quest so to speak.
EDIT: Personally I'd like to muck around our zOMG subforum myself. add a few things while getting rid of a few things.

Please don't trash the multimedia center; I'm doing some creative writing in there. Though maybe you could change it's name. Multimedia sounds a bit confusing. Or you could combine it with the fanfiction area?

I totally agree with that. But there are threads that haven't had posts in it for months that can still be of use. It's a matter of discussing why it should be trashed or saved.
I agree with collecting all sorts of items from Gaia and storing them in the mule, but one problem with that; Those who want to keep the good stuff will and say they got nothing or give the crappy items. Giving ANY item to the clan mule is a good thing, as we can find a use for it later. But I'm not keen on the idea of one keeping the uber items for oneself. The main reason why Tony's idea didn't fly so high is, A: members weren't keen on the idea of "everything I catch goes to the clan first and me second" and B: the lack of time and participation. I don't fish, but I'm willing to spend time, catch fish, send them to the mule and share the prize with everyone who is involved. That's how I feel, anyway.
zOMG! Sub forum needs an overhaul. There are threads in there that aren't worth the effort anymore. Some of them are good (like some of the stickies) because they provide information for us. Personally, I'd like to know what happened to Age. He was a real advocate for the clan.
