Zoeloveful Hey, I have the Diamond version. Is there any way we could possibly trade to complete the pokedex? My home WiFi is slut-tastic and at school it hates the DS. If I ever get it working anywhere, though, I'll totally be open to trades!

Cool! That'd be awesome but my pokemon aren't as strong as all the pro's on this site are. I'm a beginner in the game. sweatdrop knowledge alone can't win a battle. (If only) But maybe when I get stronger, yeah. Thanks. heart 4laugh

Anyways my first pokemon was squirtle in pokemon leaf green.I dont remember much about my journey with squirtle as it was 7 years ago and I have a fuzzy memory.I remember my first battle with gary I won it beacause bulbasaur kept on missing the attacks haha.I also remember squirtle evolving in mt. moon after battling that hiker.
I remember battling Erika my pidgeotto fainted and Blastoise was the only pokemon that I had left and when Erika attacked I thought blastoise was a gonner but vileplumes attack missed and I won.
I think the file was erased.But I will never (purposefuly) forget those memories.

Actually, LG came out in 2004, I believe, around... 5 1/2 years ago.

Oh, why not.
I was a cool kid. My LITERAL first Pokemon was a Charmander--I dimly remember it, not even nicknaming it. It grew up to know FIRE FIRE FIRE AND MORE FIRE and FIRE. Yes, Ember Flamethrower Fire Blast and Firespin.
I... started young, okay? Even back then, though, I always had a Geodude, Graveller, or Golem. Always. Sure, it's got a boatload of weaknesses, but in those days it ripped Agatha's team a new one so no one else had to, and that was enough for me.
If you want to talk about... a 'first pokemon', the first one who I really called... mine, who I really called My Pokemon... I remember a Magmar. Don't get me wrong, I had my favorites, especially early on--umbreon was HUGE with me, I loved it to death. I had one that swept a newbie team of Mewtwo--prolly GSharked in. Hoothoot and Noctowl are really neat. Recently I like Ledian a lot... but I remember Magmar.
Thunderpunch, when it was special. Reflect, IIRC. Flamethrower. Sunny Day. She was a strong girl, strong and proud, and she fought EVERYTHING. She spent nights with me on Mount Silver, blazing brightly under the moon, KOing another Golbat in a single, powerful, beautiful hammer of her fist.
I've had other magmar, since then, I guess, caught for Dexes. But none of them ever touched the magic she had, the connection I felt. Maybe I was young. Maybe I was foolish. I knew a lot of people thought magmar were ugly; these days, now that they evolve, they probably would laugh me out for using one.
But she was beautiful. And she was mine. I wouldn't feel that connection with a 'Mon again until leaf green, when I met Hector.

Hahaha. I was the same way. I was still the same way until 9th grade. My Blastoise was probably:
Surf
Water Gun
Hydro Pump
And MAYBE Bite

I've got a problem! My Turtwig was about to evolve and I pushed a button that made it stop. What was stupid was I WANTED her to evolve! How can I get her to evolve?

Mine is a bit different than most of the answers here.
My first pokemon was a Gastly. However, it was a pokemon card. xD
Everyone in my class got one from a teacher back in 3rd grade. That's also where my whole pokemon obsession came from. Every since then I've been playing pokemon games. I think everyone in the class after that day ran out to start buying/trading pokemon cards, as did I. But this Gastly was one card that I never traded. That thing was my sidekick for quite a while in the TCG.
I lost it eventually being a very messy kid and eventually gave up the TCG for the video games. That's when I started to despise Gastly. I dunno why...

My first GBA game ever was pokemon crystal. And I picked cyndaquil because I'm a pyromaniac. And so, naturally, I love fire pokemon. But I can't remember what I named him =[
