And I can guarantee you that very few, if any at all, know even one of the bands on the list that I posted.
Which is really sad, because that leaves me alone to enjoy them. sad

I recently became a Gackt fan. I had never been a fan of his music until I heard Ghost and Blue Lagoon. T.M. Revolution has been a long-time favorite of mine smile .

Myna5194 Uta Sumire my favorite J-Pop groups are BeForU and TERRA But jun from TERRA is solo now.. Oh~! And the girl who does the Kingdom Hearts themes.. I forgot her name.. If you play Dance Dance Revolution, you could find a LOT of J-Pop tunes. I've never heard of either of them ;P The person who sings the Kingdom Hearts is Utada Hikaru. Thanks for telling me. smile

I find J-Pop/J-Rock pretty interesting, but as far as what I listen to, it's just some Gackt, but I just love the guy, I'm almost obsessed with him. I like some Dir En Grey, the GazettE and Moi dix Mois, but I didn't venture further.

sweatdrop I think its safe to say that most Anime openings are sung by actual Japanese artists.

Here is an interesting fact to all you Utada Hikaru fans: She is actually not a Japanese native!
That's right, she was born and grew up in Manhattan, NY. Her debut single was a cover of the Carpenters' "Close to You" and she has done a number of US releases in English. I actually like her English stuff just as much as her Japanese stuff, and I find it interesting that a biracial and bilingual artist like her has become such a success in both countries.
And also, awesome Utena cosplay cool .
On topic, aside from Hikaru, I am a big Koda Kumi fan,and I also like Do as Infinity, The Pillows, and Moi Dix Mois.
