Mint Flavored Kisses eek eek I thought there was only 17 volumes. There's 20?!? crying I want!! I've only read the first two. And I think there's only... hmm.. about 10 of them that are in English. Can anyone tell me if Bloodlust was closer to Demon Deathchase than the movie based off of book one? I've always wondered that. It's not that similar. The book is very different in many ways. I wish I could go into details but I would be spoiling the book for you. Let me just tell you this bit, in the book Leila is actually the little sister of the Marcus Brothers. In the movie she just joined up with them after her Mother was stoned to death by the villagers and she was much older.

Draculas-Mistress I'm kinda glad that they changed that part of the book in the movie... Why is that? **Warning Spoiler Alert*
I don't think it really matters in the film since they don't actually show any sexual relations between her and the Marcus bros. I don't think it would have been bad. In the book even Grove was pretty horrible with Leila like the other brothers, he was pretty capable of climbing on her to rape her as well. xp The movie version made us like the brothers a little bit more.

I agree with you there. I didn't like them as much in the book as I did the movie(though I still didn't like them that much). Also, if that had been shown in the movie, it might have repulsed some of the people who were new to VHD... and hadn't read the novels yet. ((That's just my opinion... not saying its true))

Are we sure this film is going to be animated or will it be live action?

~Masquerade Of The Night~ Are we sure this film is going to be animated or will it be live action? Like others have said before, the live action is just a rumor, but Hideyuki Kikuchi did talk a little about it in the postscript of book 13. (Ref. Twin-Shadowed Knight pg. 294 ) "Thanks to the film Twilight being a big hit, the live-action version of Vampire Hunter D that's been stalled for some time looks like it's starting to move forward at last. As the creator of the series, my curiosity is boundless as to just how D will strike readers when he appears before them as a real actor and how those same readers will greet him... " If it does ever come out, that will be the ONLY thing I ever thank Twilight for.

But this guild is pretty up and up for info so I was curious if anyone had any new info. Luckily for them, I think the import movies have been doing decent. Afterall the did release the Death Note L movie which was live action. Not sure how it went though since I didn't go see it myself. I just find it sad that we have to resort to the popularity of **shivers** twilight. Still it's better than not getting another movie at all. I know all the D fans have been waiting for a new one.

I'm not fond of the whole twilight craze either right now. But as I said before, its thanks to it that more vampire and werewolf(still haven't seen Wolfman) are coming out. For sure, its about time for a new Vampire Hunter D to come out. I'm just waiting for it to be confirmed though before I get too excited about it. If there was a live-action, I'm curious about what actor would portray D. Also, it would be cool if the live-action was for the first book. As for the animation, I've only heard rumors about that as well... supposably Mysterious Journey to the North Sea was the one they were thinking about. I'll post again once I find true evidence that there will be another movie.
