Marching Band no Jutsu

Ashokan Farewell
Marching Band no Jutsu
lol @ toco clarinet. Saved my a**, buddy.

You also don't even have to post, Ashokan. Be angry as you want, you don't have to post in this topic.

Oh, and I get +10 for using Flight of the Conchords lyrics.
High fives!

EDIT: Ashokan, I'm in low brass. Of course I'm immature. Making dirty jokes for no apparent reason since 2006. Hells yeah!
I suppose now you're going to be sexist and say that all guys in low brass have dirty minds?
Actually, your attempt at excusing yourself just illustrates my point further. The Low brass in my high school band were honor roll, help clean up after practice, volunteer to drive the newbies home type people. And I know males think about sex a lot more than the average woman. That's not the problem I have with this thread. The difference between men and you is maturity. Men know that this sort of talk is to be reserved for male-only spaces becuase women find it incredibly off-putting... but if you want to put women off, well I guess that's your business.
And your attempt to piss me off has succeeded.
Once again, I say, you don't have to post here.
Before you and another sensitive girl showed up, other girls were posting without caring that I was being "sexist."
I'm 14 years old. And you're comparing me to a man, maturity-wise? Hell no. I'm a freshman in high school, and you're trying to tell me to

Your low brass must not be stereotypical. My section is a bunch of pervs. We hold that sterotype true.
Wait, hold on. You must be thinking that because I'm in low brass, and use the term 'hot,' that I can't be too smart. That's sexist. And slightly racist.
I'm legally gifted, and I make high 90's in all of my classes.

You seem to know a lot about what men 'should' do. Tranny.
Oh, Madam, of course I'm trying to put you off right now.

Let's all wave to the mods for when they show up!
(Seriously, if you mods want to get into this and do something with the thread, feel free. I'm kind of bored with it now.)

i must say that it is quite remarkable that both the piccolo/flute section and low brass section are both composed entirely of honor roll students. you must feel blessed to be surrounded by such uplifting people, or maybe your school just has a low standard for "honor" roll.

anyway, thinking about sex in a negative way is still thinking about it. i also don't know where you get your idea for maturity. if you're not comfortable talking about something in front of the people the subject concerns, i consider it to be an immature subject. an immature subject, or immature people that assume because they aren't talking to a person who might take offense, it's no longer offensive. i, for one, know that there are plenty of "off-putting" things that girls talk about, but i understand that it is their prerogative to talk about those things when and where they want, as well as in the vacinity of who they want.

Freedom of speach, it's a marvelous thing. speaking your mind is not immature, in fact i've been told that women want men to speak truthfully and openly about anything they might want to talk about. i just find it ironic that the women typically only want to hear specific things, and not actually "what men are thinking".

Haha our only guy clarinet... we know he's straight. Every time he makes a d**k joke, there's not one person who thinks, "Man, he's gay."

Hm. I want to offend someone.

Well...I wish I could help? xd I've never been too good with knowing what offends people, because I'm not easily offended myself. Like when people say saxophone's easy...everyone knows it's an easy instrument to play (getting a good sound, on the other hand...), so when my friends say that, they don't get any reaction. Or when people say that the oboe sounds like a duck. It does! =D

lol i couldn't care less how gay clarinet would seem xD it's one of the coolest instruments i can think of. gotta love that epic range smile . i'm the only male clarinetist at my school xD i'm also the best clarinetist at my school...i was thinking of switching to bass clarinet(so far i have alternated between clarinet and bass clarinet every school year) but i don't think my band director would like that xD. i tried switching to alto sax in concert band last year, but he told me that i was really the only one fit for lead clarinet.

I play first piccolo and I don't think I'm very "hot". =/

And as much as i hate to sound narcissistic, I can play fairly well.
And to be truthful, I don't even think that any of the flute and piccs around here are pretty =/ (no I'm not a lesbian or bi).

But, this just proves that your statement isn't always true.

See, there's a sane person. She disagrees and she does it in a respectful manner.
On Wings of Song, I think I love you.

@toco: Clarinet is pretty cool. I'd like to play it, but my mom would never let me. (She hates reed instruments, except oboe. wtf, I know.)
It does have epic range, and I've heard that clarinet is the only instrument that can be played so quietly a human can't hear it.
I think I'll stick to brass for now though.

It's because oboe is amazing. B] (When played well, at least...)

Sometimes I wish I chose clarinet...can't say I'm a fan of high notes (I hate them on all woodwinds), but the low notes sound amazing!

I don't like oboe, but I promise you, the only person I've heard play oboe was a 6th grader who had played for 2 months. It was rough.
I'm sure when it is played well, it sounds fine.
(Although I love bassoon's sound...)

One thing is how is it sexist? He neither said boy or girl so technically he could have been talking about either one.The definition of sexist is discriminatory on the basis of sex and he did no such thing so technically it isn't sexist.

i completely agree smile i really want to play bass clarinet...but i'm not a big fan of monotony xD so the background part that the bass clarinet usually plays kind of bugs me. also my band director wants me to stay as lead clarinet...but yeah...i just LOVE the low notes on a clarinet.

I' a flute player, and I will admit I'm not as good as the other people in my band but I can play. AND I'm not a moron like some of you guys are saying flute and piccolo are morons and I'm not at all. But the other flute player is great at playing it, but a moron....and I thought he was pretty hot. smile
