Well, TIM is just an acronym of The Iron Magus. And I came up with that name somewhat randomly when racking my brain for a good username. I liked the character Magus from Chrono Trigger (and the Magus from Gargoyles), and my email address was just robomagus--a smashing together of two characters from Chrono Trigger. I tried thinking about what it meant, standing alone--a robotic mage. The concept intrigued me, and I thought, what would you call a metal mage? Well, The Iron Magus sounds pretty cool.

Explaining the origin of my username would take some time. Suffice to say that it references Mobile Suit Gundam SEED, a Tom Clancy novel, and a port city in Russia, all in a very roundabout way.
