well there was this tuba player who would NEVER shut up, and my band director used to throw batons at him. By the sixth baton was thrown, well, he threw a stand... The kid still didn't notice--or shut up, for that matter... sweatdrop but that was in middle school.
my band director now... Well, I swear he's bipolar or something, because one day he started yelling at the flutes for missing a note--B flat or something like that--and then all of a sudden, he started talking about... gardening conventions... it was really weird.

um when we r in our sections alone with him he just like yells a lecture at us and then when he is done he says i'm not mad u know i love u guys but when we r in full band he yells at the section tht is being stupid(never us) or goes over there and talks to them in a whisper and thenn they always r sitting up sstraight and playing rite until the end of the practice

yea my BD got pissed at me and so one he was mad at me and two i wasnt playing a song so he took my drum sticks and played a 20 minute song on my head

Omg. First he just yells.
That's scary enough, because he's loud, and then he has a megaphone.
Then, after that, he talks very softly. That's even scarier.
Then, he gets back to yelling and throws stuff down at the field. (Legend has it he threw a table at a sleeping pit kid.)

My band director will stare at whomever is giving him a hard time. It's actually really funny. Plus he makes a comment that makes the rest of the band crack up.

My former band director was actually quite calm. When he was mad, he'd just talk to us very sternly, and it would supprisingly work. I think the worst was when he just walked off the podium and sat in his office. I think that was because festival was coming up and the class before us was being all crazy

haha Our old bd from middle school she would get so mad.
She had that bang your head here sign and she would go over there and lightly hit her head on it. If we were still making her mad she would throw her baton. (she doesn't that during a concert too ~.~ wink

My band directors aren't all that funny.....one says 'daggomit' a lot and at one point made the whole band run suicides. The other one just goes kind of quiet.

ours gets mad and yells at us. and doesn't let us stop the drill or whatever until he's happy. don't let the "one more time" fool u. it usually isnt...

First off, let me say that my Band Director was the best teacher I ever had. However, when my director got mad--usually at the Trumpets--he would yell, scream, and occasionally curse. Once or twice, he threw stuff at the wall. I didn't mind--it was only my fault once when I brought food into the room after a gig. Boy, I heard a lip from him... But man, I can't wait to go back and see him again. Poor BD... My class was the last of the good kids. From here-on out, he has 90% punks and idiots in his band. They're gonna die.

most of the time we get a lecture, but one time out on the feild people were miss behaving and he got fed up and threw his clipboard off the top of the tower...then he had to come down and get all the drill sheets before they flew away xd

When he gets really mad [usually because people are talking and not paying attention to him or the song, he usually just slams down the baton, gets all red-faced and walks out into his office and closes the door... then we all get silent for like 10 minutes before our drum major stands up and gives us a lecture and then sometimes she'll conduct... or we just stay quiet for the rest of the class time.
