Goddess of Glomps we are the band mafia at our school the football team actually fears us. it's quite funny actually. all because some bandy (one of my friends actually) beat the crap out of the quarterback with his trumpet. not surprisingly enough his thick head dented my friend's trumpet. X3 I hate jocks. they are so... egotistical. LOL. I didn't know a trumpet could cause that much damage to someone. As for jocks, I hate 'em, too. They think they're all that just because they go out on the field and try to kill each other when, in reality, they're dumber than a brick. (<--- That's not true for all jocks because I know at least one football player who's actually really nice. However, the football jock who sat in front of me during class was the kind where I couldn't figure out how they made it past middle school, let alone high school. I think some of those poor guys have been hit in the head a few too many times.)

Actually, in reality, at my school, football players and bandies couldn't give a crap one way or the other about each other. If we don't go to a game because of rain or whatever, they ask the BD about it, but no one really cares who gets laid or whatever.

only the gangsters and emos get laid around here.
There are so many emos at my school, I'm amazed that the school system hasn't done anything about it.
Also, band kids and football kids never really talk to each other.

I don't know if we bandies get laid more or not. In fact, I don't think we even get laid that muchXD
Now, as for rivalries, it is kind of band hates football players and laughs at them, football players slightly respect the band, at least some of the football players do.
Yesterday at bandcamp we had a teambuilding workshop during afternoon rehearsal instead of music rehearsal, and at the end we voiced our thoughts about the goals we set(and almost completed all of in one day) and one of them was respected and recognized. Well, we have people who hang out with the football palyers, as well as two or three football players themselves. Well, the guy who was igiving us the workshop said he went to the bathroom and a football player was in there. They started having a light conversation, mostly the guy explaining what the band was doing joking around in the new gym, and the football player said that he had heard we did 13 hours of rehearsal(we have been.) and said that that was awesome and that the football team didn't even work that hard. He also said it looked like we were working our butts off out there. We all felt good after the guy said that. Then some of the aforementioned football players/football player knowing people shared a few stories of what the football team said about the band, mostly that we looked like we were working hard and stuff like that. The only semi-bad thing mentioned was that some football players(freshamn team, so it makes sense. They haven't seen a halftime show yet) said we did nothing but walk around all day.
Reason the walk around all day comment made some people mad, including me:
-It is not walking. it is marching. More painful and difficult.
-We are also playing. I would like to see one of them play and march at the same time
-I'm surprised they didn't notice s disapear a few times. Our BD found a new punishment when people weren't using core muscles like they whould so they were bouncing up and down: 5 second planks. For everybody. After about 50 times, these start to hurt pretty bad

edwardlover100 Yeah everywhere you go it's ALL about football and if not that it is about another sport that is starting the season. And yet band goes full round all year, always playing for the teams and guess what? No one cares. It's so unfair! I know, only for us, when we are there it seems like that, then we're not, and everyone's like "Where was the band? Where was the band?" It's crazy!

At my school ...its middle school (im in 7th).......nobody really cares ....they think either that must be boring playing an instrument or what do ou play and kool...not like footballs better blah blah ........i have friends that play football but for like the countys teams because most of my friends are boys ..but there may be more composition in high school....XP

Trowa456 The football players and the band kids get along awesome. We cheer for them at the football games and they come to watch practices (especially drumline) and cheer for us at our competitions. So there really is no whinning at each other and its pretty much the same between football and band kids about getting laid. We all get it sooner or later =/ Couldn't have said it any better. :] Only I'm a freshie so from what I've heard thats how it is...but I wouldn't know...

Ya'lls band is just awful!!! seriously ya'll are nasty!!!
Our school is well none for have the best behaved band that respect
and its down and drty like all...... some of our best football players
have quit football cause they rather focus on band!!!
at least were not disgusting like ya'll, ya'll should be ashamed of ya'lls selfs

Well, to be honest I didn't pay attention to who was getting laid and who wasn't.
I do know that we had a pregnant band member in my junior year, though. She was pretty much the only person I knew that got pregnant...
