I don't care much for Chimchar's evolvations, but Chimchar is pretty cute. and it is useful to have a fire pokemon at the beginning until you can get a better one like... Rapidash or.. something.

if u ask me i think they should make a water/fighting type because they have fire/fighting(blaziken) and grass/fighting(breloom) but what happened to water fighting that combo will kick a** especially on a rock type ;D

if u ask me i think they should make a water/fighting type because they have fire/fighting(blaziken) and grass/fighting(breloom) but what happened to water fighting that combo will kick a** especially on a rock type ;D

well poliwrath is the only water/fighting type XP but wht about a starter which is water fighting....

Breloom's not a starter either, but you used it as an example.

Though personally, I'm tired of half Fighting starters. It's like the default secondary type when Sugimori is feeling too lazy to actually pick a decent typing pair.

I still say that Shelgon should be part Steel, simply because of it's shell. And Empoleon isn't vulnerable to Fire types, just Fighting and ground. Ground is easily dealt with by the Water, so Fighting is your only worry.
