Phraktos was happy to see her smile at him in response to his words. Apparently she liked what he had had to say.
"Actually I know a fellow in Gaullidurth that is very reliable and somewhat sheltered from such street smarts on drugs..he'd be perfect for the job! When I return to my home there I can see about what his services would cost and commission him to do it for us. He might do it for cheaper, since he still owes me a bit of money I loaned him." he replied, rather cheerfully liking her idea. He could tell she was a bit paranoid about the whole thing, but it was always smart to be a little paranoid especially when one was a thief.
"Oh I like that idea as well. It could be a constant source of income for us. There's already a demand for it, as long as we don't get much made there will always be the need for it. Though..we will have to keep an eye open on those who might want in on it and try making a lesser degree of narcotic in an attempt to get in on the market." He replied with a smirk of his own. "Why..we could probably turn it into a very lucrative business that we could live off for the rest of our lives if we did this right!"

Izzayne quietly mulled over his words as he spoke, nodding in agreement to him taking the recipe to a drow he knew in Gaullidurth. Though it troubled her slightly, she frowned to herself as she ran a hand through her snowy hair. "That's a good idea, Phraktos." She murmured, eyes thoughtful. He lived out of this town then, she ignored the niggling her mind did at her current attention on the job.
"Yes, that sounds good. Though only as a side income. I like my profession too much." She smiled and passed her little finger over her bottom lip as a smile lit up her lips, her eyes on him. The sale of a lesser narcotic...no. That would be troublesome. "We have the only copy of the recipe, that is what we must assume. Even if a lesser degree goes on the market, we can still sell this one for more."
"So you live in Gaullidurth then?" She asked conversationally.

Phraktos could tell that something was troubling her...she was acting a little unusual. He didn't say anything and let her continue speaking before he replied to anything she said.
"I feel the same way Izz. There is no way I would give up my job as a thief, no matter how much money I get. It's just too much fun." He grinned back at her, his eyes watching her run her finger over her bottom lip, feeling the urge to lean over and kiss her again. gods..she was so beautiful, and perfect!
"Oh I know we're the only ones with the recipe, but there are those who will buy the narcotic and try to figure out what's in it. Then they'll attempt to make it from their experiments. People are just greedy is all..and some drow will buy the one of less substance because it's all they can get. Fortunately for us that won't be the high end customers; which are the customers we want."
He paused after this and blinked staring at her for a moment, not realizing he had mentioned that he lived in Gaullidurth. Oh..right. He had. He rolled his eyes at his forgetfulness and shot her a goofy grin. "Well I don't really live there. It's just the base of my operations and where I keep my belongings. I travel more than I stay home. What about you? Is this your home city?"

Izzayne smiled, nodding at his words. They thought along the same lines, it amused her and excited her all in one. Fun? It was barrels of fun. How could one not love their job? "It really is. We think so alike." She said, smiling at him. Her little finger as still pressed lightly to her bottom lip as she mulled over his words. He was looking at her in an odd way again. She grinned. "It's only a body part, Tos." She teased.
"It's a ridiculous thought. Though a very right one." She sighed in annoyance and lowered her hand from her mouth, setting it on the table along with her other hand. She stared down at them in thought. "But still..some high-enders might like the idea of a cheaper version. Some of them can be so tight-fisted..."
She flicked her gaze up to him when he spoke, not being able to surpress the smile that the grin made her show. Her heart hammering lightly against her chest again. She needed to get used to this. "It is." She answered simply, nodding. He didn't seem to be wanting to go very far from her at all. She was pleased with this.

Phraktos grinned back at her, despite the fact that his cheeks were starting to get sore from all the smiling he had done today. He just couldn't help it. She was an infectious little thing. Whenever she smiled or glanced his way he felt happiness shoot through him. He was going to have to either get used to smiling so often or find a way to get rid of the pain it brought on.
"Just a body part? Your lips aren't just anything! They're soft, sensitive, and luscious. Every time I look at your lips I can't help but think of kissing you again." Phraktos retorted...feeling an increasing urge to reach across the small table and kiss her again. Oh gods..he was falling for her hard but he really couldn't help it.
The rest of her conversation he absorbed nodding in agreement but not saying anything. Most of the stuff she had said he already knew. "Sure they might like the idea of cheap stuff...but when it doesn't deliver the way the real stuff does they'll get mad enough to take out whoever the competition might be. Then..they'll be willing to pay the full price for it."
He was a little sad to learn that she lived in Undrek'Thoz but not too much so. He could always relocate if need be. He'd just have to keep his overbearing demanding Matron from finding out. That would be a hard feat for him. Or..perhaps he could convince her to move her home to Gaullidurth..unless she wasn't really ready to do so. Perhaps her House required her to stay nearby. That was something he'd have to find out.
"Ahh I see. Would you ever think of moving? Not that you have to of course. Just...wondering. I assume your House resides in Undrek'thoz as well?"

Izzayne stared quietly at Phraktos when he told her about what he thought of her lips. She cocked her head to the side as she studied him, finding slight embarrassment in his words. "Phraktos...that's an embarrassing thing to say." She answered, now aware of every shape her lips pulled. She kept her gaze on him though, tugging her lips up into a smile again.
"I guess so." She answered quietly, looking thoughtful at his words. They could always make a customer base or something of the sort. "We just have to hope something sparks a fire between them then." She murmured, leaning more across the table with an amused gleam in her eyes. Her musing cut short when he asked her about moving.
"My house does reside here, but I do not live with them. My father thought it a good idea for me to go solo for a while." She answered, crossing one leg over the other. "Moving though...I wouldn't be sure. I've been to Gaullidurth a few times and it's nice enough to pick from." She answered, unsure of what to answer to that. Would she move?

Phraktos blinked at her words. Embarrassing? How? "How is that embarrasing?" He finally asked, a curious look on his face. "It's true." He nodded at ehr other words, watching her as she got a rather focused look in her face, as though she were thinking something over intensely. He couldn't help but watch her with fascination as she leaned across the table with an amused look in her eye.
"Well should a fire need to be sparked between them, I can always help in that area. I like playing with fire as well." Phraktos replied with a rather evil smirk on his face as he remembered one incident from ages ago.
He noticed that her amused look disappeared the moment he mentioned moving. Ah..so she didn't really care to move? Or was it something else. He waited patiently until she replied before he said anything else.
"Smart man. Sometimes a thief is safer off being as far away from a House than on their own. There have been too many House assassinations as of late. If you don't care to move, that's fine. I wasn't going to suggest you to do so, I'm mobile so I can pretty much come and go as I please. Unless...well..the current Matron gets it in her head that she needs my services. I shall be very delighted when she's taken out. My sister Iztheri has been plotting her demise since she was named the heir to the House iv'Ress." He replied...reaching across the table placing one of his large hand next to one of her small ones..musing over the difference.
"You really are a small thing aren't you? I'll have to be careful not to break you." He found himself saying before he could stop himself. Afterwards he felt like hitting himself over the head for saying it...now she'd get mad at him again. He really needed to learn how to hold his tongue sometimes! "Sorry...I didn't mean anything by that. Sometimes my tongue gets away from me before I can stop myself." He apologized looking rather sheepish about it.

Izzayne smiled and chuckled a little, shaking her head at herself. "What I mean to say is, I'm not exactly used to my lips being talked about in such a manner. Everything here for me is new, so when it comes along the first few times, it is bound to be embarrassing for me." She explained, her gaze keeping on his face. It was an expressive face around her, she noted.
"As long as I can once again watch the event unfold." She murmured with an amused look on her face. It was easy to be amused around him and stay in a good mood. Much different from her annoyance beforehand. Feelings really were fickle things to change, she supposed.
"It's not so much me not wanting to move, with or without suggestion." She said in a measured tone, she stared down at his hand when it came into reach and lifted one of her own, tracing a pattern with a finger along the back of his hand in a distracted manner. She leaned back in her chair, trailing a fingertip along his fingers. She stopped and looked at him questioningly at his words, raising an eyebrow when he apologised.
"It's not like you keep suggesting indecent things, I do not mind if you say what you think sometimes." She answered quietly, resting her hand over his. She could do that much. It was a gesture that could be interpreted in a friendly way.

Phraktos couldn't help but stare at her when she smiled, chuckled and shook her head. Didn't she know how irresistible she looked when she did that? Probably not. "Ah..I see. Well I can guarantee you that I will be talking about your lips and your eyes a lot. So be prepared to be embarrassed again, dear Izz." He replied with a delighted smirk at her.
He was also very happy and taken in by her good mood and amusement about his promise to help spark a fire. If he was right, she was just dying to do the crazy pranks that he did all the time. He'd have to allow her to learn just how much more fun it was when one pulled one of them, by enticing her to pull a prank with him sometime soon. Now that would be fun. He couldn't wait to see her break loose and have a lot of fun.
"You should let me teach you how to pull pranks if you're so amused by them. It's much more fun to pull them yourself...especially when it has to do with smoke bombs, rotten eggs, and stink bombs. Stink bombs are the best. You should see the expressions people make when they smell them! It's hilarious!" Phraktos couldn't help but to laugh when he remembered the priceless expressions he had seen in his lifelong experience of pulling pranks. "I think you'd be great at it." He added.
"Oh..then it is to do with your House? Care to talk about it?" Phraktos asked slightly concerned by her tone.
He was rather startled when she started tracing patterns on the back of his hand absent minded. He watched her and tried not to squirm in his seat. Her touch was so light that it tickled. Which was most odd since he wasn't normally the ticklish type. He was rather relieved when she stopped and looked up at him her eyebrows curved upwards in question to his apology.
"Uh...right." Phraktos replied rather uncomfortably, remembering the thoughts that had fluttered through his mind when he had talked about having to be careful with her. The thoughts were not really something that he wanted to share with her, as they were things that she probably did not want to know. He pulled his hands back above his head, and stretched his shoulders out, trying to rid himself of the tension that was building up in them. "So then...what should we do next?"
Right as this question was asked, a knock came on the door, causing him to spin around his whole body going tense with alarm. The tenseness loosened when the first knock was followed by three more at different spots on the door. It was just the proprietor with their ordered food.
"I'll get that." He replied getting to his feet and walking over to the door.

Izzayne smiled at him quietly when he continued to stare, lowering her gaze quietly before raising it again when he spoke. "I suppose I'll get used to it pretty soon, Tos." She answered simply, rolling her eyes at his smirk. Oaf.
She continued to watch him, though the idea of the fire-starting was amusing. He was even more so. Perhaps she only liked pranks because he was the one that pulled them? She didn't know, but others suffering for their amusement was always a fun thing. She looked thoughtful at his words, laughing along with him. "I'll try them, it looks like good fun." She answered quietly. She let her gaze settle on his armor when he asked about her house, smiling a little.
"No, my house is perfectly fine. I'm just...not sure on moving. I like where I live. I'd have no idea of the other city as well as I do here. I'd have to relearn all the prime spots and find a decent location to settle. It's just...reluctance to give up comfort, I suppose." That and moving over there to be closer to him was one of those steps that would come too early for her liking. She wanted to, but not until she was good and ready. She kept her hand rested over his, absently stroking her thumb against his larger thumb.
Izzayne got it then, as she looked at him and noted the uncomfortable tone and her face heated up. He had been talking in that sense. Oh. She looked away from him when he moved his hand, settling her own in her lap. Well, that had been kind of awkward. "Duplicate the recipe?" She asked, hushing up when the knock came. Her eyes stayed on the door and she nodded when he got up after the last three knocks. Food. She placed her hand on her stomach, only then noting her hunger.

Phraktos couldn't help but grin at her use of his nickname. He wasn't about to reveal to her that his sister often called him "Toes" because it seemed more of an insult to him than an endearment. "I hope you do." Phraktos replied, with a faint smile.
He watched her as she watched him, wondering what was going on in her mind. What did she think of him? He couldn't help but wonder. He was relieved when she spoke, and seemed to like the idea of being taught how to pull pranks on people. He liked that she was open to experiencing new things, and allowing him to teach her. Most females would have objected to that.
"Oh..it is good fun. Good messy fun!" He chuckled a bit at that. He fell silent when she answered his question about her house, taking in her words and considering them carefully before replying.
"Ah I understand that. It was hard for me, when I was thrown out of my House and I had to learn so many new things in order to survive. But it wouldn't be as hard for you as it was for me, I'd gladly teach you everything you wanted to know. I've been in Gaullidurth for long enough now that I know it very well. Of course..it's your choice and I will abide by whatever you decide. There really is no hurry at all. I will just have to start doing more jobs here and find a place to live out of while I'm here." Phraktos said, a small smile playing at the corners of his face as he watched her stroke his thumb.
Phraktos cursed his light skin, realizing then that he must have blushed when he had spoken last. That was one thing about himself that he absolutely despised. If there were a way that he could get darker skin he would have very well done it. Though he had trained himself to not react in such ways..his guard was down whenever Izzayne was around.
He heard her last words as he got up from the table to answer the door. Over his shoulder he replied, "We can wait to do that once we eat our food." Then he opened the door slightly to peer out. Once he spotted the proprietor with the large tray of food he pulled the door open and allowed him to enter the room. He closed and locked the door after the male entered. Then he waited patiently for the proprietor to lay out the meal on the table.
The proprietor put the tray down on a chair and spread a red silk cloth on top of the table, and then placed the covered plates down in front of the two seats. He arranged a candlebra in the center of the table, lit the tall tapered candles and then bowed to them and backed up to the door. Phraktos unlocked the door, and discretely handed over a pouch of gold to the man as he left the room; then locked the door once more and then joined Izzayne at the table.

Izzayne nodded to him, staying silent for a while. Chuckling when he gave his opinion on the pranks. They sounded fun and the stunt in the treasury had amused her to no end. It really had. She tapped the finger of her other hand against the wood of the table as the silence fell. Her gaze unwavering from his face.
"It's something that will need much consideration. Again it is...too big a step to be rushed. If you understand my meaning." Izzayne answered, leaning back against her chair. "But you'd do that..just to be close?" Again, she couldn't help but be flattered. It'd been a matter of hours and he was prepared to do so much. She raised her eyes to his face again, amused at his blush. Aah, so he understood that she understood what he had been suggesting? She lowered her gaze then, letting him have some semblance of privacy.
"Okay." She sat back when the proprietor came in and set the table, raising an eyebrow at the...intimate manner of it. Had it begun already then? She looked at him questioningly briefly, before peeking under the cover on the plate.

Phraktos was having the time of his life. He had never had this much fun just talking with a female before. It had to be because they were meant to be together not to mention very well matched. Phraktos wasn't going to say this though..he knew it would only cause her alarm. He wanted to take things slow so not to frighten her off, that would be the worst thing that could happen at this point.
"I understand. Would you consider thinking about it at least?" Phraktos asked, watching her closely. "Of course I would. It's not very often that a drow finds someone they can trust explicitly with intimate thoughts let alone find their soul mate in one night, dear Izzayne. It's not a common occurrence in the Underdark, which is why I am so ready to do whatever I can to make this work out for us." He told her gently.
Phraktos frowned slightly at the changes the proprietor had made to the table, saying dryly. "For some reason..he must think this is some sort of intimate meeting. Not that it isn't...in some ways. If you'd prefer not to have the candles I can put them out." He told her as he pulled the cover off of his plate.
Ah..roth steak! Just what he wanted. Despite the turmoil his stomach was putting him in, he waited for Izzayne to start before he did. It was proper social manners after all. If anything..Phraktos was a gentleman when he chose to be.

Izzayne smiled a little, noting his enthusiasm with this meeting. It was a mixture of business and pleasure. It was enjoyable. She picked at her food, popping a chunk of the steak in her mouth after she cut it away. She chewed at it thoughtfully, assessing his words.
"...Hmm. I should be tougher on you, I suppose. It's just...difficult." She answered, twirling the cutlery in her hand around absently. She stared at it before flicking her gaze over to Phraktos again, lowering it to her plate. " Just, wait for me. I suppose."
" It can stay, it's not harmful." She answered simply, eying the candles a little before looking down to her plate. She picked at her food after a couple more bites, having never eaten very much to begin with. She was hungry, she just couldn't swallow very well at the moment. That and they were talking.
She stared at the wick of the candles, in thought for a small moment. Her eyes flicked around the room. She didn't trust this place. Even if Phraktos did, she herself did not. "If we're going to be handling the recip in any way, I'd feel better if we did so in a place I find secure. Such as my home."

"Oh please..feel free to be tough on me." Phraktos couldn't help but tease. "I can take it!"
He eyed the cutlery she was twirling in her hand cautiously..hoping she wasn't going to lose her grip on it. That would not be a good thing..especially if it was pointed at him when she did so. He was relieved when she lowered it to her plate and spoke once more.
"That I can do. I am a very patient male when need be." he replied, as he began to cut into his steak, and then putting a piece into his mouth and chewing. Ah...perfect. Not overcooked, and not undercooked, just right. He savored the taste of the meat in his mouth before swallowing it and then taking a sip of the wine in his glass.
"Good, I'll have a talk with the fellow later...about him being so presumptuous." He told her before taking another bite of his steak.
He was halfway through chewing the piece of steak when Izzayne spoke again glancing warily around the room in a nervous manner. The last bit made him suddenly swallow the meat, causing it to catch in his throat. He gasped, choking slightly on it. He grabbed his glass of wine and gulped it down until the piece of steak was dislodged. "As you wish," he finally managed to gasp, his voice rather raspy from almost choking to death. "Izz."
He was going to have to wash the thoughts that had formed in his mind away with as much wine as he could before they left. He didn't want to even dwell there, since he knew there was no way that they were going to do any of the things he had imagined. Gods..did she not realize how she made his imagination work overtime when she spoke so casually of such things?
