"Yeah, really!" she smiled, noticing the fact that Kaede had seemed surprised to her with her answer to the question. It had always made her curious how some Hytes (like Maxwell) seemed to enchant everyone around them (though she wasnt sure if Maxwell just flirted with girls or actually really liked them, as it seemed to be between himself and Julian) or similiar situations (perhaps George could fit into that category as well).
With his hand grasping hers she perked herself up and listened to his plans for their dinner date. "That sounds lovely! I can't wait to see what you've got planned!" she exclaimed, though she was more than a bit curious as to find out what they might be doing. She played the part well though, she'd be surprised just like anyone else would and be all the more happier for it.
"Kaede, you're so kind. And the same goes for you as well." she nodded, leaning towards him and perking his chin up gently with a finger. "You're quite a catch yourself Kaede. Any Hyte would be the luckiest Hyte in the world to get to be with you." She realized what she had said and blushed profusely. "EH...I'm so sorry! I didn't mean that part about the catch and....oh dear." she whispered, blushing bright as a candy heart.

"Well you'll have to wait," Kaede teased gently, already planning the date in his mind. There was so much to do, so little time... but wait, they hadn't even marked a date yet... but if he had any say in the matter, it would be sooner rather than later. And in that case, there was so much to do, so little time!
The catch joke was not lost on the fish Hyte, and he laughed, shaking his head and patting Xin's hand in an attempt to put her mind at ease (although her blush was quite endearing.) "Don't worry, I thought it was funny, even if you didn't mean it like that. Fish jokes are always amusing to me... unless Hunter has a knife and he's talking about sushie... or Kiyone in general..." Kaede paused for a minute, making a rather comical face before turning his attention back to his now-date, smiling again. "At any rate, coming from you, I doubt anything could ever offend me."
Standing up from the piano bench, the koi offered Xin his hand to help her up, still blushing a little, both from excitement and nervousness now, although he tried to keep the latter quelled enough so that the chinese rat couldn't see it. "I shall pick you up around six... What day would be best for you?"

Xin took his hand gently, allowing him to help her up. She smiled back at him, any attempts to hide her growing blush were failing miserably as she looked back at him. "Day? Um...any day really. I don't have any plans for much of anything as of late..." she thought out-loud, thinking back to the two children now inhabiting her room and board with Rose.
"The sooner, the better." she spoke up, noting that the last time she had spoken to those two children, one of them had threatened to eat her. Going out would prevent said event from occurring and she rather liked staying alive, for sure.
"6 o'clock is fine and whatever day works best for you, Kaede!" she cheerfully responded, holding his hand back gently.

Kaede smiled, practically beaming at the adorable blush on Xin's cheeks, the pink complimenting the valentines rat quite well. For the tenth time that night, he couldn't help but think how lucky he was to have managed to snag a date with her, and for the tenth time that night he went over the list of wonderful things about her.
"How about tomorrow at six?" He asked, noticing happily that she had not let go of his hand, "I will have everything ready and waiting for your lovely night out."
He only hoped he could make everthing perfect. What kind of flowers did she like? What she tired of pink, seeing as she was that color? What kind of food did she like? He had so many things to find out -- he would definitely have to ask Rose.

"Tomorrow? I would very much like that, Kaede." she replied, blushing still at how her fortunes of love and luck had seemingly turned around with just a bit of time with the fish-hyte. She hadn't wanted to let go so soon but she could just sense that Kaede might need to get things ready...or so it may be for guys and dates; she wasn't quite sure.
"I think you know where Rose's house is but if not..." she started to say, before pulling out a small piece of paper and drawing a quick but hopefully effective map for him to use. "....here's a map from HyTech. And I believe that's Rose's number there as well. If you need help along the way she'll be happy to assist you. She's better at directions than I am anyways." she smiled, placing it in his hand carefully.
"I look forward to seeing you tomorrow night then Kaede!" she smiled before giving him a tender smile and walking out of the room. As she left, she leaned against the cooler building her face flush with excitement. Did that all really just happen? The Chinese Rat couldn't hold in her glee as she gave an excited cheer and floated back to Rose's house. Because, it really felt like she was floating in thin air after everything that had occurred...
