Another one...? ...<3! At the end of the day Riulve just wanted to go home and that was all. She didn't want to be held behind by anyone or anything but she had this ... feeling. This feeling was confirmed as she was walking the facility and found herself followed by a rather shy seeming tech that was holding the hand of a small boy with tentacles and faded purple skin.
The tech wasn't scared of Riulve by any stretch of the imagination but the tech also didn't seem fond of interacting with the stern looking shifter. So when Riulve whirled about to face her, the female tech uttered a startled gasped and took a couple of steps back pulling the child along with her. The small boy gave a small gasp and then followed it up with a good natured giggle. The tech got a good look at the woman before her and noted the belly on Riulve. Dear lord, wasn't anyone not pregnant around here?!
"What is it? I don't do babysitting," Riulve quipped shortly anxious to get home. She was so tired and didn't have time to beat around the bush. A slender hand went down to her lightly bulging belly. Her icy eyes gazed down at the boy who seemed content to just stare at her with a wide smile. It was almost as if he knew something about the whole scenario that she didn't.
The female tech let out a deep sigh as she quietly pulled the boy forward and toward Riulve, "We can't keep him here," she pointed out quietly, "as you well know. You already have one of our children and she seems to be flourishing, so we thought maybe you wouldn't mind another one."
Riulve's sharp eyes snapped to the tech and then to the boy and for a moment it seemed as if the pregnant shifter was furious. In truth she was just annoyed with the whole thing. She was about to lay into the unfortunate woman when the small boy pulled his hand away from the tech's hand and made his way toward Riulve and hugged his arms around one of her legs, followed by one of his tentacles. The other tentacle seemed less than interested in touching her.
"Momma!" The boy called out happily nuzzling his nose against her leg with a content sigh. He liked this woman, she was big and strong and she had a funny shaped belly! He had essentially adopted her on sight, unlike her first child from the place who wanted nothing more than to run away from Riulve at first.
The tall woman closed her eyes and let out a sigh swallowing her annoyed words and her expression softening just faintly as she reached down and patted at the boy's head between the silver plated horns, "Fine, I'll take him," Riulve relented softly, "Wynni will be thrilled to have a sibling similar to herself, I am sure."
The tech let out a deep relief and nodded shuffling away as her job was mostly done. "Be sure to get the needed signings and stuff done on the way out, name him what you want!" the retreating female said with a too cheerful tone. She had completed her task and now she could move on to other more important things!
Riulve squinted after the retreating figure as she leaned and offered the boy her hand instead of her leg, "Come on, you look like a mischievous little imp," the shifted noted as he gleefully took her hand and began walking with her toward the offices so things could get done and signed. "I'll name you Puck."
The newly dubbed Puck gave a grin and a giggle. He liked that name! It was short, easy to remember, and sounded fun to say! "Puckpuckpuck," the boy chanted with a tentacle waving about happily.
The shifter rolled her eyes and gave a small chuckle as they disappeared down the hall.

I dub thee... Best big sister ever! Wynni had been milling about the yard, doing busy work, when her Guardian and a small child came running up. The child had tentacles and horns and wasted no time bowling into her legs and latching onto them. The tall pre-teen wobbled a bit and looked over at her mother questioningly as the overly affectionate purple-and-black haired boy nuzzled his face against her legs. She noted the presence of silver-plated tentacles as well. One wrapped around her leg along with his arms and the other avoided touching her at all though it 'peered' up at her with detached curiosity.
Riulve chuckled a bit, "Meet your brother, Puck," the woman said simply as a hand rested against her belly as she watched the two more or less meet for the first time.
"B-B-Brother? R...really? You adopted another one?" Wynni sounded confused and more than a little baffled.
The white haired woman nodded a bit, "He needed a home. Much like you did. I am sure you understand, pup."
The mint haired spawn blinked and stared down at the boy and reached down and tentatively patted him on the head, "Yeah..J..Just surprising, didn't think you'd be..."
"Coming home with a new pup? Nor did I. Regardless, here he is. Mind keeping him occupied while I get stuff set up for him?"
"Err, sure." Wynni said with a small laugh and then peered back down at the boy to see him looking up at her all happy.
"You're my sister! What is your name? Mama didn't tell me your name!" Puck said cheerfully as Riulve made her way indoors.
"I'm Wynni, Puck. May I call you Puu or Puu-chan?" For some reason she just wanted to call him that, a strange urge but she gleefully went with it because it was cute, much like the boy before her.
He detached from her and nodded firmly. One tentacle waved about cheerfully having relinquished its hold while the other stayed as still as ever and observing carefully, "Yeah! I'll call you 'Nii-Sister!"
That was a new one but she nodded a bit, "Fi-fine. Do your tentacles have names?"
Puck paused and shook his head shifting from one foot to the other, he hadn't really thought about it not even since before he left the facility. "Should they have names?"
"Why shouldn't they?" Wynni counted with a small giggle.
The small boy paused again and shifted his shoulders into a shrug, "You help name 'em?"
Wynni shrugged as she began to sway side to side thoughtfully, "Sure, Sorcha and Zybelle?"
Puck gave a small face in response, "Nope," he replied with a shake of his head.
"Cois and Vide?"
Another shake of the boy's head and the tentacles began to behave almost as if they were insulted by the suggestions.
"Ziiba and Niicht?"
"Yes!" Puck gave out a cheerful call; even the tentacles seemed pleased now. "You are the best big sister ever!"
Wynni laughed a bit and shrugged, "I guess I am," she smirked a bit seeming to settle into the role of the boy's sister more easily now. Now how else to entertain him? Perhaps a game would do, "Want to play tag?"
Puck nodded and suddenly found Wynni chasing after him which caused to boy to give a shrill shriek of delight and surprise as he turned and began to run so he wouldn't get caught. The game kept them busy all the way up until dinner.

Dear Journal... Where does he get the energy!? Riulve popped open her journal as she settled on the bed. She placed the opened book upon the bulge of her stomach where the new life resided for now and began to take pen to paper. She took a moment to pause and settle her frazzled mind. She had been spending all day with her family chasing down a rather energetic little boy with metallic tentacles.
..Boy that was fun. Now Riulve was more tired than ever but she still wanted to get her thoughts down.
Journal Page Dear Journal,
Spent all day with Wynni and the others chasing Puck around. He seems to have a lot more energy than Wynni did or maybe she just didn't let it out as much as he seems to. He is a rather open child and full of curiosity. Unlike Wynni who will just sit and the energy stay pent up inside her and try to sit still he gleefully lets it out. His tentacles have very distinct personalities from what I could see and ... I have noticed a lot of the children with tentacles end up that way...
Not that it is a bad thing I just wonder sometimes if there is a conflict...how is it resolved? Do the children hear the 'voices' of their tentacles and talk to them? Can they ever control them? I am uncertain. Puck seems content to let his do what they wish for the most part and just enjoy the rest of his time doing whatever he wants. Is this a good thing?
The baby will be coming soon. Everyone seems excited, even Puck even though he is a new addition himself. I find it wonderful that he seems to be melding into the family so quickly and effortlessly. It makes things a little easier and it gives me less to worry about. Puck seems to adore Wynni and I think that is wonderful since they are truly half siblings and they come from the same place and have much in common in those respects.
I wonder if I'll get anymore from that place. I am thinking about retiring as a teacher so I can focus on my family, as much as I enjoy teaching but...It's going to be such a troublesome time to balance baby and work. Sigh.
I shall possibly have to ask someone to fill in...? Maybe.
I think I shall sleep on it. I need all the sleep I can get if I want to keep up with Puck.
Signed, Riulve Drunhild She closed the journal and deposited it and the pen on the nightstand near the bed. During the time she was writing Hatty had joined her in bed and had been watching with mild amusement. Riulve rolled her eyes, "What else am I t'use it for?"
He responded with a laugh, "Well you could also keep a tray on with your dinner."
Riulve responded with a snort and began to get more settled in the bed, "You're carrying the next one," she informed him as she closed her eyes.
"This implies there'll be a next one" he teased.
"Maybe, we'll see."

New life... Puck's Point-of-View... Puck stared down at the wriggling form in the crib for a long moment and right next to him were his tentacles also 'staring' down. He tilted his head a bit as he went up on his tippy toes and wiggled his fingertips down at the baby. Soon the infant grasped onto the fingertips and began to nom on it. Puck let out a small giggle as he watched the child contently 'chew' on his fingertips with the toothless mouth and let out a small hum.
"Yer small," he pointed out to the baby. The baby seemed to pay the voice no mind. It felt secure and safe. Though it was starting to feel rather hungry it wasn't to the point of complaining about it just yet.
Puck grinned a bit, "Ziggy-brother~," he said happily as he watched the boy he looked over at Nicht and then over at Ziiba. He tilted his head to the side, "What do you guys think? Isn't he neat?" The tentacles 'gazed' at their host. Ziiba nodded enthusiastically while Nicht made a gesture that seemed rather similar to a shrug. What was there to say? It was a small wrinkly thing and it cried and made way too much noise for Nicht to truly enjoy anything about it.
The spawn grinned and looked down at the form in front of him, "Mama says that babies are made when two people love each other but on the teevees I saw part of a show where the baby was an 'ak-cee-dent'. What is an Ak-cee-dent? Was Ziggy one?"
Tentacles gave no response.
Riulve had been watching from the doorframe and frowned a bit. Apparently she hadn't caught the show Puck was too young to watch in time and had changed the channel a bit too late. She moved forward and petted the boy on the head, which startled him a bit, "No, Siegfried was not an accident. He was a wonderful surprise."
Puck blinked up at his mother, "Was I an 'ak-cee-dent' or a surprise?"
The white haired woman laughed a bit, "You were a surprise for me but you are certainly not an accident. Come on. Let's let Ziggy rest a bit. He's had a long couple of days. I'll make a snack for ya, pup." She began to lead the spawn out of the nursery.
"Kie~, can we play a game af'er?" Puck asked.
"Certainly can, Dear Heart, we certainly can," Riulve replied affectionately.

ABCs & 123s... Booooooooooring! Wynni sat down with Puck and quietly began to write out letters and numbers for him to copy. Puck watched his sister with a vague bit of disinterest with his hands cupped up under his chin while Ziiba waved about endlessly with a bit of an excitable air to it while Nicht actually seemed to take a great interest as to what the older Spawn was doing. The pre-teen had volunteered herself for Puck's lessons simply because everyone else was so busy with the new addition to the house: Siegfried plus everything else that was going on, the household was a constantly busy one and it was a good thing that she and Puck could ... Kind of keep up. She quietly reached out and tugged at a bit of Puck's hair, "Hey you, pay attention," she said with a small giggle when she noted that he was spacing off on her.
Puck sat up a bit and wrinkled his nose at his older sister, "I'mma listen," he said with a bit of an eye roll and scooted a bit closer to stare down at the paper. There was a bunch of stuff on it that he didn't one hundred percent recognize but still he could pick out a thing or two if he really cared to pick his own brain. He uttered a small bored sigh, "We done yet?"
The older mint haired spawn rolled her eyes and shook her head, "Nope, repeat after me," she instructed and quietly pointed over to a letter and began to tell him what each one was and wouldn't move on until he parroted them back. Puck did so after a bit of reluctance as he repeated each character back at his sister in a bored tone. Sometimes he'd lean on her in a drowsy fashion and pretend like he was about to fall asleep only to have her shake him off with a bit of a nudge or a light swat of her tail.
The younger spawn grumped at her and continued on with the lesson until finally he was suddenly expected to actually take up a pencil and mimic the writing. Ziiba at this point at completely lost interest and was waving and reaching toward the television which had a dance show on while Nicht helped Wynni with the attempt to keep the boy focused despite the distraction the other more carefree tentacle was trying to give.
After a great deal of effort Puck managed to get down a bunch of letters and writing Wynni heaved a giant sigh and ruffled her hair as she stared down at him with a small giggle, "That was like pulling teeth, Puu-chan~."
Puck stared up at his sister with disbelief and even Ziiba seemed to have stood up at a bit of shocked attention. Puck's purple hands moved up to protectively cover his face, "Nu'uh~. No one pulls MY teeth!" he said with a bit of grim determination.
Wynni shook her head a bit, "No, no. Not like that, Puck," she laughed.
Puck wrinkled his nose still not understanding and then moved to flop across his sister's lap, "We done now?" he asked staring up at her as she brushed her fingertips through his streaked hair. Ziiba draped against Wynni's lap while Niicht did his usual avoidance maneuver of hiding behind the younger spawn's back.
"Yeah we're done. Wanna go out to the park and play today just you and me?" Wynni offered, "or you wanna take Mnemo with us?"
The boy paused thoughtfully as he gazed up at his older sister's face. As much as he liked to play with his sister he was always much more of the type to want to play with a group of individuals rather than just one person and so after this bit of consideration he spoke up, "Take Nemmy with us~. I wanna play with her mores," he said cheerfully as he crawled off her lap, "I go gets on shoes you get Nemmy," he got up and trotted off and Wynni watched after him with a small smile. Playing outside would indeed be a good reward after all the patience he had exerted trying to learn his basic numbers and letters. She'd have tried to help him more with shapes and colors though he seemed to have those down pretty well on his own just by watching educational television...Ah well. At least they got started...

Gotta get my dancin' shoes... Start of Dance Classes... Puck walked home with his mother holding her hand. He had just been to his first dance class and he had loved it. He stared up at his mother quite gleefully while Ziiba coiled about her wrist affectionately thankful that the woman had signed them up for this. This was the best idea ever since the invention of ideas, or so boy and tentacle believed.
Nicht on the other hand? Could take it or leave it. The tentacle did not enjoy it as much as the other two had and would rather have spent the time at home and forgo almost getting touched by accident constantly. it was difficult hiding in such a large group of so many different children that seemed to take note of him. Nicht hated it a lot.
"And then we learned how to twirl all pretty~," Puck said excitedly mostly ignoring Nicht's presence. He would make it up to the rather serious and dour tentacle later for now he and Ziiba had a rather full and exciting afternoon, "and, and, and my teacher? She's real pretty~."
Riulve laughed a bit, "Do you want to go again?"
"Yes! I do, I do! I wanna play with the other kids and I wanna learn more dances!" Puck chattered excitedly as he swung their conjoined hands while they walked along, "She said I was reaaaaaaaaaaal good," he bragged cheerfully as they walked along, "a natural!"
"Oh really? Well that's wonderful, maybe we'll set up an area for you to practice back home." Riulve offered the rather excited spawn.
"Yeah! I want that!" Puck was practically jittering from the excitement as he pounced on the offer. He wanted to dance more than anything and when that particular offer was placed in front of him? He just couldn't wait.
The woman laughed a bit, "Alright, alright. First we'll have lunch, just you and me, then we'll go shopping."
"YAH!"

sevenofsevenmule It would be on a Saturday that you open your mail box (if you have one) and notice there is a rather thick envelope stuffed in there. There is no postage stamp and a very vague return address. But you recognize the font and the company's name. 'Seven of Seven Inc' scrawled in majestic font across the upper left hand corner. As you open it, you may strangely find yourself drawn to the letter, there is a mass of notes inside. They read as follows:Letter Congratulations! You have managed to succeed in raising your child. (IE: Not killing him or her or getting killed yourself. Haha we kid of course.) We would like an update from you on the following: Guardians Name: Child's Name: Sin: Virtue: Gender: Current Attitude: Likes: Dislikes: Any abnormal growths: (if any, example: Feathers molting, horns growing larger, scars ) Current hair style: Current clothing preferences: Dominant celestial trait: (The sin or virtue) Please summarize in your own words how difficult or easy it was taking care of your child. Did you manage to care for them in a kindly fashion? Or were you forced to discipline them? As well do not be alarmed if you suddenly find your child achieving a massive growth spurt in the next little while. We are finding that the children from our facility have strange growing patterns and are rather unpredictable. Although please let us know if anything unexpected occurs. Sincerely the technicians from Seven of Seven Inc. Ps. Please just leave your letter back in your mail box one you have completed it our courier will pick it up. Thank you. You would notice the letter seems overly friendly...strange since the scientist were so ...cold before.
(Just take the from Guardians name to Dominant Celestial trait and pm it to the mule, the summarization doesn't have to be long just have fun with it.)

Dear Labs... He's a good boy so far... Dear Technicians,
Puck is no more difficult to raise than most normal children. The issues that plague most children don't seem to bother him so much, he just seems to have a disagreement with at least one of his tentacles much of the time. Where Wynni was a much more of a quiet sort of energy ... Puck is very out there and unapologetic about it. He gets into anything and everything he possibly can and the mischief is all about simple fun for him and this is fine.
He tries to be helpful with the new baby and the other children in the house. He often plays with everyone that'll give him attention and I don't think 'hate' is in his vocabulary at all. He is very carefree and happy-go-lucky. He likes to dance so I got him into some classes for that. He appears to be enjoying it so far and chatters about nothing else if you let him.
Puck also likes (and has figured out) how to turn on the television, and often when he does..he appears to favor romance stories.
..Should I be worried? Possibly not. I hope not.
Signed, Riulve Drunhild
