Both the apology and the strange handshake came as a surprise, causing Lamen to arch a brow inquiringly until he answered on his own. "Well, it's a curious but inoffensive habit. Besides, you haven't exactly been trying to seem less peculiar." She half-chuckled, slapping her hand into his before he could protest, gripping it strongly and then shaking it like friends would, in a warm gesture. "And this is how I do it." With a satisfied smirk, she thought to herself this hadn't been so bad. Soon it might change, but relationships were strange and fickle things. She nodded and turned, waving behind her as Sor sensed her approach, cancelling out the psychic barrier with a powerful pulse of energy. "Oh, and one last thing." She added, as the miasma of dark colors melted down to reveal the normal-looking interior of a wooden cabin. "Soar isn't my Deoxys. He's my buddy. See ya!" She grinned from an angle he couldn't see, meeting up with her friend from the north with something like a high five- soon, they were teleported away by the legendary...

Headed for a lab with those stolen strands of Lock's hair.

The man shared on his own smirk and watched her go. He ponder if all this was a good idea at all as he waited for a couple of minutes before stepping out of the cabin to find his way back to his own campsite.

-------------
[And days passed!]
-------------

Daniel found himself sitting across from the man he consider his adoptive brother since the death of both his parents at the age of five. He didn't have to say that he was not related to Adriel in any way. His cool tone of brown hair with warm chocolate brown eyes to match was enough to tell anyone that they were not blood related. The fifteen year old stared at the healer with mild exasperation but highly amused and entertained by the taller man. He bored a crimson color shirt and black jeans to match as he sat inside a rather cozy cabin. As much as he loved the snow, he was nowhere near as cold-resistant as his white-haired brother and refuse to camp outside in winter.

At the moment, they were just talking nonsense as Adriel cooked dinner while Daniel happily petted the head of persian that rested heavily with him on the couch. Front paws and head covered his entire lap. Indeed, Faraon wasn't a meowth anymore, he even was a bit big for his own persian brethren.

Daniel looked up from the feline pokemon's sleepy face and to his brother. He once again, for the upmtenth time that evening, rolled his eyes at the man's outfit.

Adriel wore his usual black pants, but no boots, no socks on. He wore an apron and a sleeveless shirt that was sure to go once dinner was done and served. The man really hated using shirts. Daniel was quiet sure that particular shirt was use as a rag to clean dishes when in the road. Thankfully, Adriel had allowed him to wash all his clothes, rags and cloaks that morning.

His long white hair was half in a hair bun, while the rest just hang down his back. The bun he did to keep his hair from coming forward. But still, he had a few bangs here and there obstructing his view. His usual scent of herbs and wild musk was gone in favor of good bath. Thought the herb scent linger, it was subdue, even more by the thick scent of the stew being cook.

"So anything new happen to you?" The photographer couldn't help asking.

"Hmmmm...Not really." Adriel answer after he taste the stew and threw some salt in. "....I did meet a deoxys, tho."

"What? Aww, man, that had to be cool." Daniel grinned. "You do realize you are total magnet of legendaries, right?" He gained a laugh from the strange healer.

"Yes, but I am also highly a magnet for trouble."

"So, were you able to get the results you wanted?" The tall, blonde man asked, grinning. He was in his early forties it seemed, a cytogeneticist who had come here to examine the nature of certain tumors that had been found growing on Corsola of late, perhaps a mutation influenced by the pollution of city waters. Since his work comprised the collection and analysis of chromosomes, his lab had what Lamen needed to process the hair she had collected from Lock as well as the handy hardware and software needed to analyze it. The gray-haired girl nodded, all smiles outwardly. "Thank you. I appreciate this, Mark."
-"I'm glad to be of help. You're welcome to come visit any time! My daughter hasn't seen you in awhile, she wanted to return those animated shows you'd lent her..."
-"Haha, I'll be sure to pick them up next time I come, then." She chuckled, they said their friendly goodbyes, and she left- a more serious expression on her face now.
As far as Mark knew, well... he didn't need to know what DNA she had collected and looked at, as she had told him it was personal.
But it was far more than the random curiosity he most likely assumed...
The man, Adriel Lock E. Hart, was only 78% man. The other DNA she found... was that of Pokemon. Pokemon which could cause his unnatural behavior. To use the genes of a Golbat to trigger thirst for blood and to chemically addict him to human blood alone... what kind of disgusting use of genetics this was. Quite the opposite of healing, whoever had done this had instead inflicted upon the poor man a lot of suffering, incomprehensible and disgusting needs, probably mental problems, and definitely an abnormal life. As she had thought... he was one of those cases, the ones that weren't really at fault, who needed help.

And she believed she could help him.

Her initial shock had now worn off and been replaced with a kind of grim resolution.

---

Soar cut through the sky, his alien mind still fluctuating with angry spikes of frequency. Lamen had found the dangerous man's address from the sign-ups to the digging expedition she had participated in months ago, before the ever-helpful Deoxys had reunited with the only person close to him. Ever since the incident with that man, she had only played videogames with him rather than accompany him on his explorations. Forget that he liked watching TV when he was at the hotel anyways, this Lock man had plagued Lamen with worries ever since they met- her cheerful, easily entertained self was all but gone. < ## > < ## > < ##-!!!> The irritated signals would be heard by psychic pokemon all over the hemisphere, indecipherable as they were.

Finally! The place revealed itself below and he lowered himself without bothering to slow down for the impact, creating a crater in the snow and a VERY loud noise. THAT would get his attention. Sor wanted this done and over with quickly!

Everyone in the cabin gave a jump, even the pokeball containing the sleeping pidgeot of the healer. Daniel clung to the pokeball and Faraon, twitching a little, he looked up to see Adriel's lips moving, but hearing no sound.

The white haired man turn off the stove, glaring towards the window until the ringing in his ears stopped. Once that was done, he got closer to the window and looked out, hissing at what he saw before walking over to Daniel. Taking Faraon's pokeball out, he called him back and latch it to his belt. He let the scare photographer keep holding on to SongWriter's as he pulled off a long black coat from the coat hanger, designs in white decorating its shoulders, necks and forearms. Ripping the apron off, he got the coat on and walk out the door, his hand gripping the handle of his katana just as he stepped out of the house, letting the blade slide out from its sheath and the tip drag behind him in the snow.

Daniel grabbed his own coat, red one, less elaborated then his brother's. He ignore the warning look from the healer and kept following as they both approached the carter.
"What in the name of-" The young man began looking up to his brother but stopped. Adriel's eyes were a deep purple color.

A cylindrical silver tentacle stretched out to the edge of the crater, then a yellow one, then two others. The humanoid legendary followed, his unnaturally smooth alien body climbing out of the hole with ease. Completely ignorant of the fact that Lock might not appreciate the cracked and dented area of his yard, the pokemon stared at him squarely with sharp silver eyes as he patted off some of the residual snow and frozen dirt that had gotten onto him. His arms then morphed and merged together to a shape similar to that of a human's arms, with large, five-fingered hands, one of which he lifted and... waved.

"-HOOONK-" He blared briefly, this ear-blasting barely passable for a greeting.

This gesture done, he noticed the other person and was taken aback. Sor suddenly wanted to hide- his feeling expressed by a sudden backstep which almost sent him tumbling back down the hole he had created. He felt... different from Lock though. This one set him less on edge.

They both gave a blank stare at the legendary as it came out, Daniel's jaw dropping a little. Adriel rolled his eyes when he saw this, his odd color eyes turning back to the now shier deoxys. The healer racked his mind for a couple of moments.
"It honked..." Daniel said in a whisper, still awestruck.

"Yes, I have ears, Dan" The healer muttered before turning his attention back to the pokemon."You are...Soar, right? Lamen's...friend?" He said slowly. He still could recall several snips of the conversation, the pokemon's name was said briefly.

He sheathed the katana back in its sheath, and tied the two strings of the sheath to one of the loops of his jeans. He didn't approach the legendary. "Is she okay?" He said with genuine concern.

Daniel quirk an eyebrow at the man next to him, wondering exactly what the hell was going on.

The Deoxys tilted his head, curling an arm to almost his face like an uncertain child would. Was Lamen okay? Okay how? She was okay.
Soaringedge nodded at the healer and then hesitated. He was supposed to ask him to come, but... last time he'd tried something psychic on Lock, it hadn't really worked. Instead he turned to the other human.

<#-Can-you-t-ell(?)-<>-him-> Here, he pointed to Daniel's brother- -w-##*###%-<__...__>-tal-k-with<.>##*###%-w-ai-t-in-g.>
It wasn't exactly his clearest human-mind transmission so far.

Adriel share a small smile. "Ah, okay." He said softly after the nod from the pokemon. So why was he here? One white eyebrow arched upwards when the deoxys turned his attention to the younger human.

Daniel gave a blank stare, unknowing how to feel about having his head invaded with such strange message. Murmuring under his breath as he decipher it, he looked at the ground in concentration for several minutes, ignoring the concerned hand the older man lay on his shoulder, before turning to Adriel. "I think...he wants you to come with him. Someone is waiting to talk to you." He glance to the legendary to see if he had gotten it right.

"hmmm?" The healer looked between the two, not fully surprise that the psychic had chosen his brother to communicate with. "It must be Lamen he is talking about. I wonder what she needs to talk about." A calculating look came into oddly color eyes before he sighed. "Very well, I'll go. Where is she?"

Seeing his message interpreted the right way, Soar's core beamed a happy golden as he nodded quickly, several times. -y-ou-{/*#/}>> The last part was a wavelength of gratitude, but the living things of this planet weren't able to understand the oscillating psychic language of a Deoxys. To anybody receiving the signals, all they would perceive would be an odd indecipherable noise and a twisting of light in their mind. Try as he might, the Deoxys had not yet been able to purge his true voice from his psychic communication.

With Lock's agreement, Soar sent a <####-go-i-n-g-t-ele-port> to Daniel, beckoning the humans closer into his range. He didn't know if Lamen wanted the extra visitor, but she hadn't said anything about it either, so it was probably fine too, right?

Daniel smiled, none the less. He nodded slowly and grabbed Adriel's arm, pulling him forwards as he walked closer to the deoxys. "He said he is going to teleport us to her."

Adriel resist smiling too much, Daniel looked like he was seven again and was given his first camera. If he knew this young man well(and he did), he probably had one hidden somewhere in his clothes. He wonder when he would ask the deoxys permission to take a picture of said pokemon. Coming back to the present, he looked at Soar. "Very well, go ahead."

On that note, the three winked out.

And reappeared in front of that small abandoned cottage from before- only, it was no longer abandoned. Inside it had become habitably warm, and at the table there was a kettle of tea and a full course meal. Moving around inside was Lamen, taking various things out of a bag and stacking them onto shelves.

Soaringedge seemed to speed up in his motions, almost seeming giddy as he half-floated, half-stepped to the door and opened it for the guests.

While Adriel seemed quiet well, Daniel seemed disoriented after the teleportation.

Steading his little brother, he smile at deoxys change in demeanor, with a soft chuckle, he usher Daniel into the cabin, giving a nod of thanks to the pokemon as he enter the can after the other.

"Salutations, dear lady." He spoke in a gentle warm voice as Daniel still looked like his mind wasn't still all there.

Lamen removed herself from her unpacking with a smile and an "ah". As she passed her friend she gave him a friendly nudge and threw something into his easily catching hands- a remote. The Deoxys seemed to glance at the time (a clock on the wall) for a split-second and then rushed upstairs to catch his show in a disorientingly humanlike manner.

With the Deoxys out of the way, the gray-haired girl could now see the -TWO- people entering. She blinked in surprise- he might get in the way, but... well, she hoped that it was someone Lock could trust. If not... well, she'd find out soon.

"Good evening, both of you. A pleasure to see you again, Dr.Hart." She said, her voice welcoming- and then, to Daniel: "I don't believe we've met, sir? I'm Lamen Tvalhal- a pleasure to meet you." With this she held out a hand to shake, wondering if he'd have the same weird custom as Lock.

"Its good to see you once again, Lamen." Adriel gave a soft smile.

Daniel watched with some amusement, once he was fully back in his own head, as deoxys disappeared up the stairs. He wanted to question but decided to leave it for later as he looked at the young woman before him. "I am Daniel Abaddon." He took her wrist instead of her palm, like Adriel.

Suddenly returning from invisibility, a big silver haunter sprang up between Daniel and Lamen's hands, waggling a giant tongue right in the newcomer's face. "HAUUUUNNNNT." He cackled, laughing at his own prank while he bobbed in the airs. Lamen rolled her eyes. "Right. And this is Donut. Don't let him bother you, he's inoffensive." The Haunter stopped cackling at this point, as if taking offense.
"Haunt haunter haunt!" He spoke indignantly, which translated, would be Indeed, Haunters had a reputation for being dangerous in the wild... a good thing that the mischievous ghost wasn't much in that regards compared to his well-feared relatives, having been raised from a mere Gastly by Lamen.

"Now that introductions are done, serve yourselves to whatever you like! I haven't eaten yet either, to tell the truth." The ghost trainer's stomach made a suffocated gurgling sound as if to either prove her point or interrupt her, both of which it did. Lamen looked at the table uncomfortably, wondering about presentations, and then shrugging it off. She grabbed a plate off the table and shoveled some sushi, ceasar salad and... (pancakes?) onto it- clearly, she didn't really follow any particular theme or culture in what she made. "Treat it like a buffet. We can sit down over there." Lamen gestured towards the more comfortable-looking couch and couch-chairs that she had arranged ideally for a discussion.

This cabin had effectively been transformed into a living environment... which Lamen would soon explain.
