
The flailing and muttering were brought to an abrupt halt when the ground shook. Spontaneous earthquakes were rarely signs of anything good, after all. Ed and Al watched, both caught somewhere between shock and amazement, as the tree flew into the open. The elder brother barely even registered the fact the dog had gone back to his master.

training? If that was training, neither boy was too eager to see how Sakura and Tsunade handled real fights...
"Just training?" Edward said, pulling himself up off the ground,
"An earthquake and a tree flying through the air and its just training? Geeze how crazy are the real fights, then?" Even if he didn't want to witness it, he couldn't help being curious.
Every hour they spent in this odd town strengthened the strange, nagging feeling at the back of Al's mind. People who could uproot a mature tree and send it sailing through the air were not commonplace in their town. In fact, most with such strength either used alchemy as an aid or simply weren't human in any sense of the word.
