New Assignment in Zatao: Katarina Town

Today at 0800 hours, I arrived to the Zatao region in the S.S. Aqua. So far the place seems like a combination of a small hick town combined with a lively never sleeping city. It is a strange combination to say the least.

I am still adjusting to this new persona I am using, since it is quite a contrast to the one used in my previous assignment (Reference, see Milly Lane). However, to make certain that I lived up to this new persona's reputation, I set two smoke bombs to go off at the entrance of the Pokemon Center. I made certain to also be seen after I completed this designated "prank."

To make certain that this character I am designated to play is "well bonded" with her Pokemon, I let out the Shuppet that is now designated with the ID "Pierrot" out of his Pokeball. I allow the ghost-type to play one prank on a wild Pidgey before requesting its company to explore the city.

I have located several important buildings within this town of Katarina, including the Pokemon Center, the Pokemon Mart, several well known hotels, and a few food stores. I also have located the landmark in which the Rocket Base is located, though I did not visit it due to the company of the Shuppet. I plan to visit it soon so I can get my first assignment for this region and to record my data in the database.

Making a Reputation in Zatao: Katarina Town

Today I awoke at 0500 hours so I might work on setting up several traps around the city. All were simple set ups, and more or less were meant for pranks. I set up three which were tripped by a thin wire and dumped garbage over whoever set off the trap. Two were log traps which were set off by wires again, and sent a log flying at the victim. One was a hole-trap which was dug up about 7 feet down with a weave of plant material over the top of it. It took a great deal of time to set up, and I did not finish setting these traps up until 1000 hours. By then, some people had seen me working on at least the one of the log traps and the hole-trap.

Pierrot had been let out and asked to watch over the garbage traps, which had been set up in the town. Those ones were set off quite easily, and the Shuppet returned to me three different times to let me know they had gone off. Pierrot has a great appreciation for traps and seemed to be in quite a good mood whenever he returned.

The log traps were set up towards the edge of the city, close to the Pilkiras Plain. These ones were more difficult to set off, but one Pikachu set off one of them and was sent flying. It would have been an easy capture, but alas, this character's preference is to ghost Pokemon. The other was set off by a Pidgeotto, but it had pretty fast reflexes and flew off before getting hit by the log.

The hole trap was the most tricky to set off, since it was set up in the park. I hid in a tree and watched the trap itself for about 3 hours after I had left my post near the Pilkiras Plain. Finally, it was some little kid who fell into the hole. I had to make certain that I was seen, so I got down from the tree and stood over the hole, laughing as if it was the funniest thing I'd ever seen. The kid was crying, but my character's priority is to entertain herself.

All were pointless pranks that weren't even in the slightest bit amusing, but at least Mindi and Pierrot were able to get a start at setting up a reputation.

At this moment, I am in the Rocket Base, typing up this report. I have received news that there is a young Rocket here in Zatao that has a legendary Pokemon on their team. I will investigate further into this rumor, and if it is true, I shall insist upon having Prototype2 train with whatever Pokemon it may be.

What? Pierrot is evolving?: Katarina Town

I have been needing to make my presence more noticeable in the town of Katarina. I do already have a reputation, but I am certain that if the character I play were to disappear for too long, that people might get suspicious. So today I went on a training spree for the Shuppet identified as "Pierrot."

In the streets, people don't usually realize this, but there are usually many different types of Pokemon. Usually they are strays, but they make excellent training tools if you can do it properly. During this time, we located several Rattatas in the alleys and battled them all. Due to the type disadvantage on both parts, Pierrot had to rely heavily upon tactics such as Will-O-Wisp and Faint attacks. The Shuppet did seem to grow weary, but I run a tight shift and continued to have it battle.

On the ninth battle, the Shuppet evolved. Nothing too exciting. If you have observed one Pokemon evolution, you have basically witnessed them all. So now the character identified as Mindi Kuni is now the trainer of a Banette. I will include in the character report that this is due to her being bonded with the Shuppet for at least a year, though the actual reasoning is from catching the Shuppet at a high level.
