I agree, It really isn't all bad. I mean, if you know which manga and anime are suitible and appropriate. It's usually quite alright, y'know? I never watch anime or manga with "satanic" themes, so I think it's alright...

Lol... I'm afraid that most of my animes some people would find questionable...
I am surprised that no one has mentioned Full Metal Panic!? yet though! It's my favorite! And it isn't terribly offensive either.
Curious... Chrono Crusaide... good or bad? I think it was good. The whole demon turn good thing was untrue but it might get some people interested in Christianity. It didn't make a bit of fun of Christ and it was a really, really great show.
Lesse... Kodomo no Omocha (Kadocha) is a good anime. There is a tiny little scene that umm yeah... but except for that thing that didn't happen but came really close it's really good. I especially liked how Sana's career ended up. (Read the manga!)
As far as the 'magic' animes go... I don't have a problem with them. Harry Potter, Negema, Maboraho... all of those are set in alternate worlds to ours. I've seen real magic and it is evil. The magic in those animes isn't close to the real stuff.
An anime I would highly reccomend if you are looking for a good, inteligent anime that deals with human nature, is Kino no Tabi or, Kino's Journey. Some offensive things happen but it is villians doing the offensive things. I really, really loved that anime and I think it even helped me solidify a few ideas about the world that were playing in my head.
A manga you guys might like is Cross. I've read up to volume five and although there is a tiny bit of skin... it is done in a non sexual way.

I don't really judge anime too much,
But I watch a good deal.
My favorite is definitely either Fullmetal Alchemist or Samurai Champloo.
I also like Paranoia Agent, Evangelion, Avatar (yay!) and Inuyasha (though not as much).

Vampire Hunter D is my favorite anime movie sweatdrop ...
I have also seen X (very graphic...)
And yeah.
Other animes I am familiar with,
But not terribly fond of,
Are Ghost in the Shell and Cowboy Bebop.

I don't like sexual movies...period...
So yeah...
