I once heard my freshman year in high school: Band is just one big sex scandal. And most everyone is crushing on everyone.
In fact, in three months I am marrying my high school sweetheart who was in band with me. My sexy little T- Boner. It was one of those things where I looked at him from across the band hall and thought " I'm gonna marry him."
No joke. biggrin
And you'll always have things in common with fellow band members! We all know band kids act different from ALL the other cliques.

I think it is kind of weird that it's hard to like ppl that aren't in band...oh well, still gotta love those percussionists! biggrin

ok i'll finally admit it. i am currently dating a girl in the color guard and i think the drum major is also hot (girl as well) but i'm bi and i think the current drumline captain is hott 2 lol.

I'm surprised he doesn't think I'm a weirdo or something... I'm the bassoonist. But I march with my clarinet. Lol. He's a senior, though, so yeah... I'm not.

Marching Band no Jutsu I'm in love with a clarinet player named Hannah. But low brass and clarinets are never together.... sad But whenever we take a break at practice I sit with her under a tree. I can't wait until next marching season... That's not exactly true. I am a clarinet player and my soon to be husband plays trombone. So I wouldn't rule it out just yet smile

I am currently dating a member of drumline and have for a year now.
It is very rare in my band to see people dating out side of band, for example drum major and drum minor, center snare and a guard girl, sax and trumpet, trumpet and drumline, pit and clarinet, It is just really hard to be with someone not in band since most of your time is spent with the band, you get attracted to people you are around all the time. I know people who have tried to outside of band but it didnt last because they couldnt spend time with each other. One of my instructors dated this girl he met in marching band all 4 years of high school, did college marching band together and have now been married for 2 years.

right now I have a crush on our tenor saxophone player. sad thing is though, he just graduated this year and I'm not graduating until next year. not only that I wimped out a lot in talking to him. cry

i like 5 people in my marching band xD
its hopeless too...
4/5 of them are in percussion. i play clarinet.
two of them are identical twins. if i say anything to one, the other knows too.
one of them knows i like him and i asked him out and got rejected horribly. (and i carpool with him xD)
one of them is a very popular drum major with lots of friends.
two play base drum, one plays pit, one is in pit and a drum major, and one plays alto sax.
i think i like percussionists xD (i liked a kid at school and found out a week later that he played drums. then i liked this other kid for like 20 mins before i found out he plays percussion too... i got over both of them tho. its really sad. maybe i should just play percussion next year xD)
its hopeless! and theres only a few weeks left in band, and i might not be in the same band as these people next year cause im moving to another band.

We all know band kids act different from ALL the other cliques. that last sentence... heh i go to the dance at school and begin marking time and doing the drum major thing to the music. im not even a drum major, and i dont know what its called. everybody was staring at me lol i <3 band nerds! they are ALL amazing! EDIT: except for the contra player who charged at me at top speed with his tuba held like a battering ram, screaming at the top of his lungs, scaring the s**t out of me. damnit, steven! EDIT2: nah, stevens cool.
