Psi shook his head slowly. "It's not your fault." He said still looking away. When she asked what's wrong he had to turn around to answer. He tried to keep the emotions that could be easily seen in his eyes intact. No pain in there that would force her to believe that this was her fault. "Nothing's wrong." He murmured with a faint smile on his lips to reassure her. "Just thinking about stuff." He said before looking away again at the skies.
It was times like these when he wished that Agent Idaho was here. Sure she could be fierce, but she always knew what to say to cheer him up or to give him confidence. And right now, he needed both things desperately.

Melanie frowned and couldn't look at him. He wasn't telling her what was wrong so it just furthered her belief that it was her fault. She was tempted to give him the space he seemed to want, but didn't want to leave him. "Thinking about... what?" She still refused to look at him.
Her lip had stopped stinging, but her mind went back to the day they met. Did he love her just because she released him...?
