The attack hit the case of ice with just enough power for the cubone to crash free. Whirling her bone in a circle like a baton, Hannah completely deflected the rest of the seeds with ease. Ice and plant attack debris dissapeared into the fires below, and Hannah now stood at the ready.
"Let's go. Show her what you got!" Choppi hopped to the side and her ponytail swooshed back and forth. "Hannah!"
"Cuuuuue!" She stated, now seemingly filled with firm resolve. They could do this. The next instant, she was scaling the side of the pillar with amazing speed. She was a ground type after all, so her claws were built for this.
"Rock Smash!"
"Cubone!" Hannah called out, reeling back the bonemerang as she aimed it just at the top of the stone tower, where the Teddiursa resided.

Lecia was wincing when she looked back at the cubone in a hurt way but managed to get back onto her feet, waiting for another command.
Kayla was feeling pretty bad for Lecia. So far, Lecia is not liking battles at all. However, they have already started it and they have to finish it. Sorry girl but let's use Seed Bomb again!
Once again, Lecia started throwing a bunch of seeds at Hannah hoping that it would cause enough damage to get out of this battle sooner.

Hannah was knocked back, but the blow was not enough to hurt her resolve to win. However, upon seeing the Teddiursa's face, she halted. This pokemon was quite a sensative one, one that she hoped would be a friend of their someday.
"Cue." She sighed, sending Choppi a look. The watcher saw her Cubone's face and nodded at her. She under stood how she felt as well, but this battle had to be finished.
"Fire Blast!" Hannah put her game face back on in a reluctant manner, and then charged the attack with the pure power in the air. Then, aiming at Lecia, she let the blast go, and looked away.

Lecia tried to dodge it but it was too late. The full blast caught her, scorching her beautiful fur.
Kayla was worried. "Hang in there, Lecia! We can do it! After this, I'll treat you with all the honey you can eat!"
Lecia eyes brighten a bit at that and tried to keep strong til the end.
"That's my girl! Now we only have one shot at this and let's make it count! Ice Punch!"
Lecia paw once again started to glow before bursting into a icy fire as she dashed towards Hannah.
Both knew that if they did not make this hit, then it was over but if it did, there could be some hope. Quote: 125/800 edit: Haha, damn. Oh well.

The cubone slipped out of the way in an expert manner as the beam rushed harmlessly past. Claws gripped into the side of the pillar as she jumped back to her feet.
"Hannah, one last move! Focus Punch!" Choppi called out, and rather wish she didn't have to yell over the roar of the flames a battle ending attack. In her heart she hoped that Lecia would still be friend with them, even if they won this battle. That's really what mattered.
Pulling back a fist that brimmed with energy forced into that one limb, with a sharp swing this battle could be over. Choppi wanted to look away, but she had to watch Hannah, to cheer on her companion. Hannah swung...

When all hope was lost, it deicded to peek it's little head and surprise Kayla as Lecia managed to dodge the punch by a millimeter.
Kayla's whole body was working up a sweat more so than it already was in this field. This was there chance again! "Nice job, Lecia! Come on! We need this Icy Punch! Go!"
Lecia went for Hannah again with as much power as she could and threw back her paw and charged forward.Quote: 125/800 edit: Now it's over...XDD

Another easy dodge. Lecia just seemed to be too weak...and this made it even harder for the pair to finish the fight. Choppi folded her arms and said nothing, leaving the cubone to her own devises. It was a battle that was hard to watch, but she wouldn't look away out of respect.
Hannah would try again, another Focus Punch. Landing this blow would end the battle, instead of them both drawing it out longer. Reeling back, this time using the hand without her bone to hopefully soften the blow... even a little. Hannah swung again at the Teddiursa, punch flying as a blur.

Unforunately, luck decided to not give Kayla and Lecia any more chances. Lecia barely had any time to see the punch coming her way before it sent her across the field and off the plateau.
"Lecia!" Kayla cried out in horror. Forunately, the battle field precautions were set way before the battle started and Lecia was caught safely in the net before she even got near the hot lava under it.
Sighing in relief, Kayla grabbed her pokball and called Lecia back. "It was worth a try." Once the little cub was back inside her pokeball, Kayla smiled weakly. "Maybe battling isn't your deal but don't worry, we will find your purpose."
Kayla looked up at the other trainer at the other end of the field. "Great battle there. Maybe I can battle you again with a different pokemon. I don't think Lecia would be too keen on battling any time soon."
With that, Kayla was soon lowered on solid ground and walked out of the stadium but not before waving good bye to the other trainer.

Hannah returned to her pokeball, almost before Choppi had opened it. The cubone was in low spirits, and Choppi whole-heartedly had to agree with her little companion.
Sometimes, things were unfair, but that was no reason to let someone give up. Especially a friend. Giving a kiss to the top of the pokeball to Hannah for a job well done, she gripped the ball tightly in a sudden wave of emotion.
She battled with Hannah to become stronger so that when traveling neither would become hurt. Watching pokemon was dangerous.
Quicky attaching Hannah's pokeball to her ponytail, she began to race after Kayla. Sneakers pounding the pavement, she was pushing herself as fast as her small legs would carry her. Seeing Kayla almost leaving the hallway, she cried out.
"WAIT!" Reaching out a hand, she hoped, truly, that her friend would wait behind for her to catch up.

Kayla heard the other trainer calling her and she paused for a moment to look back. To her general surprise, Choppi was running after her. Hn. Normally, trainers went there own way.
I wonder what she wants. Kayla thought. "Hey! What's up?"

Choppi halted before the other trainer, resting her hands on her knees as she drew in sharp breaths. After a few seconds, she straightned up and pointed to Lecia's pokeball, still in Kayla's hand.
"May...may I see her? Please?" Her large green eyes were a weapon in their own right, and at this time there were filled with the honest need to see the pokeball, that contained her former opponent.

Kayla blinked bewildered. "Uh sure."
Kayla pressed the release button on the ball and with the burst of red light, Lecia appeared in front of the two trainers.
Lecia was curled up sleeping off her exhaustion. Her fur was ruffled up and in disarray but otherwise no real injury could be noticed but one can never tell. Kayla knew that she had to get Lecia to the Pokemon Center soon but a few minutes wouldn't hurt.
"She's alright." Kayla whispered in a hush tone, not wanting to wake Lecia from her well earned rest. "She just needs to go to the Pokemon Center so that Nurse Joy can fix her up."

Nodding at her words, she watched at the pocket monster was again put out into the open, this time however it was not for battle.
Choppi kneeled next to the trainer as she tried to be a quiet as possible. Listening intently to the Teddiursa's breathing, she herself breathed a sigh of relief. Everything would be okay.
Then reaching out she stroked Lecia's head between her ears, and the pogey was still sound asleep. Leaning forwards, she gave Lecia a small kiss on her cresent mark. It was something she always did for Hannah, as a sign of deep appreciation of a job well done. She stared contently at her for a few more moments, and then finally looked up to Kayla.
"Her heart is the most loyal I've ever seen." Choppi smiled one of those crystal clear happy grins. "It was an honor to battle you both." No pokemon would take that much fear and pain, for someone they weren't deeply attached to.
A strong devotion that wouldn't be broken. All pokemon had it, but something was special about Lecia's bond with Kayla.

Wow. Kayla thought. No one has ever shown any affection to her pokemon after a battle like Choppi did.
Even her words were so touching that, Kayla was started to form tears.
Embarrassed, Kayla started to rub her neck and looking down at Lecia and her feet. "Yeah. We got along real quick. I feel kinda bad for placing her into a situation that she didn't like. Maybe battling isn't her nich."
Kayla squat down closer to Lecia and smooth out some of her fur. "I won't force her to battle again if she doesn't wish it."
Looking up after composing her self again, Kayla smiled. "Hannah was great, by the way. I had a cubone once but he grew into a Marowak." Quote: Oh and I am totally envious of your RPing skillz! XD

Choppi was stroking Lecia's fur in a soothing manner, but her head turned at the mention of the cubone pokemon breed. "Really?" The words left her mouth in an enthused whisper. A small giggle followed. "I don't know where I'd be without Hannah." Reaching up she touched the pokeball tied to her ponytail, purely out of sentiment.
