A large screen towered over the stadium. A spinner with twelve different battle field locations displayed on the screen, waiting to be choosen. One of the trainers jumps to the control room and presses a big green button to start up the spinner. The screenshots of each battlefield light up as they are passed by the spinner. Finally, the light stops on...
The Fire Field:
A series of thick rock pillars, all different sizes of height, reach towards the stadium ceiling from a pool of hot lava. While there is a fire-proof net far below to catch any pokemon that falls off the platforms, the rock pillars themselves are very hot to touch. They can cause burns if your pokemon stand still for a set period of time. The air around the field is very heavy from the extreme heat. This field gives a 25 HP attack boost to FIRE type attacks.This field also reduces damage from WATER and ICE type attacks by 25 HP

 The moment Kayla walked into the stadium, she groaned in dismay. Not again. She HATED the fire field. True, she didn't have it for a while but it's still a pain.
Already, Kayla was working up a sweat just standing here in the heat. However, they have a battle to do and it wasn't going to stop her.
The trainer walked up to the platform and as it rose towards the ceiling, Kayla ponders on how Lecia would do in battle. This was her first battle ever and being that Lecia was just a recent capture, Kayla had no idea Lecia's personality.
Oh well. Kayla thought. Now is a good time as any to find out.

Choppi trotted out to the trainer post in the stadium, and had to give a small head-tilting sigh. Fire field. Again. And more ironic, it was another Teddiursa as her opponent, on the same field as the last fight. Perhaps, this might give her an advantage, she thought hopefully, suddenly perking up.
"Hannah!" The Watcher had pulled the pokeball tied ornamentally to her blue ponytail, and had now tossed it into the air above the flame ridden stadium. "Time for battle!"
The red glow faded from the Cubone's thick skin as Hannah was loosed onto a nearby rock pillar. The pokeball's return to it's masters hands, as Choppi sent Hannah a 'V' sign. Hannah turned and wagged her tail at her trainer, then to Kayla, the cubone posed with a 'V' sign, a friendly gesture.

Kayla smiled at the other trainer as she walked in and released her pokemon, Cubone.
"Might as well start sometime then." Kayla said in a soft tone before releasing her own pokemon. "Go Lecia! Let's see what you can do."
Lecia appeared on the large plateau for a moment before she grimanced at the heat. "Teddi-ursa."
"I know. You ready girl?" Kayla asked.
Lecia nodded before turning to Hannah, the cute cubone, not really knowing what she is getting into.

"Hannah, let's try something new." Choppi called, cupping her hand over her mouth. The cubone looked over her shoulder while balancing on the rock pillar, and nodded. Hopping from top to top of the rock towers, as Hannah neared the opponent pokemon, her boneclub began to glow a hot red.
"Fire Blast!"
The burning energy of the fire attack was powered up by even the heat in the air around her. Spinning the bone through little cubone claws, the energy was released from the white hot bone, and was sent spiraling towards Lecia. The thick fur coat in such terrain had to be unforgiving, they both knew.
Perhaps a special poffin was due in the end for both Pokemon.

Lecia attempted to flee when she saw the attack coming for her but it was almost useless being that the attack was going too fast and too huge to miss anything.
"Teddiiiii!" Lecia cried out as the blast created burns along her fur. She recovered pretty quickly but soon realized that battling was not something she enjoyed much.
"Come on, Lecia. Let's fight back with Close Combat!"
Unsure about it, Lecia did as she was told and dashed up to Hannah so quickly that it was as if she was far away from the cubone one second and up close in the next. Lecia curled up her paw into a 'fist' and attempt to punch Hannah while using the other paw to scratch.

Despite having been thrown off by the lightning move of her opponent, Hannah managed to hold her own and block a few of the attacks. Lecia landed a few, nothing to really keep the battle from continuing however.
"Focus Punch! Now Hannah!" The fight move in a close range should hpoefully get the bear back enough to halt her barrage. More hits got in as she charged her small cubone fist gripping the bone, but then it was over as she charge was complete. A fist attack was a blur, and backed by her boneclub once more.
But would it be enough to get away from the attack flurry unleashed by her opponent?
(Attack is Super Effective!)

"Teddiiiiursa!" Lecia cried out agian as Hannah punched right after her own attack.
Kayla was shocked for a second that Lecia's attack didn't work as good as she had hoped before remembering that fighting moves won't be very good with 'ground types'.
"I am such an idiot!" Kayla verbally beating herself and feeling bad for Lecia for being unprepared for this battle. But no more. "Lecia! Ice Punch!"
Lecia rubbed her face when the cubone had backed off, pouting. "Urrrsa." Before anyone knew it, Lecia paw started to glow a bit before becoming a icy fire beore charging at her opponent.

Choppi watched as Hannah was frozen in a block of ice, and fell into the catch net below the pillars. Her breath caught.
Kayla was a good trainer, quick on her feet. The ice wouldn't hold for long though she knew, not in this heat, and the battle would continue..for now, she would have to wait. That's all she could do...

"Yes!" Kayla cheered as the newly frozen cubone was stuck for a short time. She knew it won't last long but maybe enough to give them their edge and win.
Lecia looked down at her paw, wondering how did she do that. Glancing back at the frozen Hannah, she questioned herself even more so.
Kayla wasn't aware of Lecia's confusion to her abilities and gave her another command, thinking that Lecia was just distracted. "Good work, girl! Now let's use Seed Bomb!"
Lecia was startled out of her mental questioning before she began throwing seeds at Hannah in a very fast and powerful rate.

The seeds plowed into the disabled cubone, all the while helping to break the ice open more and more. The attack was paintful, ice and plant attacks all in a row, but it was not going to stop them. She was almost free to attack.

Looking at the points that was suddenly deduced from the scoreboard for Hannah, it was getting close to being even with Lecia if they make this shot worth it.
Kayla looked back at the cubone and it was starting to melt quickly. They have to be quick! "Lecia, Seed Bomb again!"
Soon after the command, Lecia was starting to get the idea of battling and starting throwing more seeds at the frozen cubone with the same speed and strength.
