“Today you are you, that is truer than true. There is no one alive who is youer than you.”
“You know you're in love when you can't fall asleep because reality is finally better than your dreams.”
And one of my absolute favs from (the book) Horton Hears a Who:
"Don't give up! I believe in you all. A person's a person, no matter how small! And you very small persons will not have to die If you make yourselves heard! So come on, now, and TRY!"
Personally, I hate the live actions. They screw up the story by adding sex and things that weren't in it. Seuss had the gonads to take on the likes of Hitler (The Starbelly Sneeches), and they repay him by making his amazing works nothing more than Hollywood 'block busters'?
pah!

I hear ya, you can't bring his entire bizarre world into the world of film.. the whole magic of it was everything was so unread that it couldn't be believable, up was left, down was inside out, and everything was way too surreal to make any sort of sense, yet it made the stories perfect.. the movies.. just make our world look like a cartoon. There's too much order still in it and it just doesn't have the magic. The cat in the hat was far too fat to be suess.

If I were to win a billion dollars I would open a production company called "Verbatim Productions" and I would take all of the stories and the lit that I've loved all my life and that I've watched Hollywood kill slowly and painfully and I'd DO IT THE WAY IT'S SUPPOSED TO BE.
Not the way some hot-shot ******** tells me it SHOULD be to appeal to Joe Six-Pack. If something is a CLASSIC piece of literature, it's a Classic for a ******** reason. Who the hell are YOU, Hollywood Hot-Shot to re-write it? What? You think you're going to make it better? You aren't. You think your COMMITTEE is going to re-write a BETTER story then Mark Twain, or Orson Wells, or John Steinbeck, or C.S. Lewis, or (insert your favorite author, here smile did in the first place?? They bloody AREN'T. You've proved that time, and time, and TIME again. You think those of us who love these things you're butchering appreciate your blatant disregard to what we hold sacred? We don't.
Go ******** yourself and leave my books ALONE.
(Yeah, apparently I have an opinion on this one.)

I'm a fan of Surrealism. Dali and Redon. There are a few artists I like on Deviant Art. I can't think of their names at the moment though doh!
