that is a good way to put her, Paradise xD Really? hmmm... that would explain a lot. But, the no criticism is the worst! then I can't improve. How the heck does she expect me to improve unless I get feedback!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay - so, in relation to the feed back issue I was having... I found an easy solution - Get someone else to do it xD I have found that this works much better.

In other (terrible) news - I have hit a roadblock. I know I've been overdue but still... between Macbeth and In Cold Blood I have lost all inspiration for writing a new section that is supposed to go inbetween two previously written chapters... so *sigh* I have been spending many long hours getting no where. I'm just going to get back to where I was and keep going untill my characters tell me otherwise... hopefully.

hehe - that turkey must have triggered something - coming up on fifty for like the first time. Gotta introduce the villian character. Describe a brawl. And a few more random things xD This has been a great week!

I hate finallys. I really do. I have no time and it is so very sad. However, I have finally finished In Cold Blood and can now concentrate on Graceling. This is an amazing book - I love my friends - especially those who recomend good stuff!

On the side of writing, I will have time for that shortly - but I have little to no time currently. It makes me sad. And I have no inspiration. Which is worse crying cry

I have to admire your progress. I have been working on my main project for six years, and only have three drafts to date (most of this due to a recent major overhaul/retcon and the decision to start from scratch, everything from character profiles, rules of the universe, and the story itself. It does not help that I keep finding old projects to redo, and unintentionally create spin-offs. My attention really is split at least five ways).

I am not a fan of high fantasy (I do like a bit of "the real world" with it), but I do like fantasy and fantasy elements. ^^

Which song is it?

ouch... that sounds like a lot of .... work. oh well, i've done overhaul on the plot before, nasty stuff.

Fantasy is a lot of fun xD

Savin' Me by Nickelback. I'm usually a country fan, but this song just does it for all my characters!

It is, but I am getting back on track of actually writing it. ^^

I do agree that Fantasy is a lot of fun.

Oh, I love that song! ^^ I am not really a Nickelback fan, but that song is amazing.

I find it funny that I can literally assign a Linkin Park song to every one of my characters. For example, "My December" perfectly describes a character who loves snow, and has a wish to go home. "Breaking the Habit" will fit another character's struggles with his inner emotions. "Forgotten" serves to fit one character's role in the story. "In the memory you'll find me/as burning up/the darkness holding me tightly/until the sun rises up." Entirely metaphorical compared to the story, but it makes sense to me.

That's cool ..
I love how songs can influence the mood of writing
When I was writing House of Chaos back in 2004 I had one of the Nickelback CDs playing constantly to get in the mood xD;

I know right? I can't write decent battle scenes without listening to Pirates/LOTR battle mixes. It simply cannot be done for me. But, Savin' Me is perfect for those 'getting-inside-their-head' sessions/slice-of-life chapters. It just ... works!
