Corny smiled brightly. At least it was something. Tucking the feather carefully into her bag, she skipped on after the others. "I hope it's not too far away."
Azure trotted alongside Corny, nose sniffing everything. Many animals came through here, and she followed along the path of one that smelled like it was big. Would it head toward the water?
Sighing, Kellan spread his wings and took to the air. He wasn't about to be left behind.

Realizing that she was being left behind, Paine lifted her nose, defeated, and loped to catch up to the group. She had always loved swimming, so at mention of water, her tail naturally swayed behind her; the determination shining brightly in her eyes. Once more, her ears perked for the scent of the river.
Stalker looked around; it would be chaos to get lost in the forest, even if there were wolves with them. With every turn that Eros and Blue led them in, she took her nails and made a soft, distinct mark on the trees or plants surrounding, but following, the turn, sure that this did not hurt them. Paine would have her hand...literally.
((Thanks for waitin' up!! The roll is for Paine's hearing.<--wow, sounds like she's in court!! xD ))

((Meh. No one found anything. I'll have you guys roll one more time and if no one finds it, we'll just stumble upon it. XP And no problem Stalker. ^^))
Scent nor hearing turned up anything for the river. But it must be somewhere nearby.
Blue looked at Corny and nodded. "I hope so. It'd be really tiring if it was far away." She said following everyone into the woods once again. She looked around hoping to catch a glimpse between the trees. She paused when a howl sounded in the woods. "Wonder who that is."
Indy looked around spotting nothing that hinted that a river was this way. "Perhaps we're headed in the wrong direction?" He suggested.
Eros trotted ahead of everyone and seemed like he was having fun. He looked back at the others and grinned.

**True walks toward the shack re-reading the note he found. True walks onto the porch/steps**
Laughter moving you will hear... As in you move you'll hear laughter.. .or the creak of planks... ... Look not far, for it is near... Must be close to the door... Tke a breath, hold back your fear... perhaps calm down and relax, nothing to fear.
**laughs loudly**
I live with Fenrir, what else do I have to really fear!?

((True- It doesn't work for mine either. Then you just do the roll in the main thread, giving it clear label as to what the roll is for so that Blue can find it.))
Corny shrugged. Hearing laughing behind them, she nearly jumped out of her skin and flushed red. "I'm fine..." She muttered, looking back toward the shack where the voice had come from. "Hello?"
Azure sighed when the trail led nowhere. Hearing the laugh as well, she stalked silently to the shack to look, spotting a stranger on the porch. Who was this?
Kellan flew high, looking down on the group. Something shiny suddenly caught his eye and he dove down. Did he find anything?

**looks up from his searching for a moment** Ello? Who's there? I do believe this is still private property belonging to Wolfie Duke. However if I'm tresspasing I do apologize. Yo see I found this note and having been around Wolfie before... Well lets just say I love a good puzzle! **gives an awkward smile then returns to his searching, just in case he is not tresspassing**

"Wrong direction eh?" Hitachi glanced at Indy and frowned. "Oh bugger, I 'ope we're goin the right way."
He caught the sound of voices coming from the shack and he glanced back warily before an idea hit him causing him to shiver.
"You think we're being followed?" He asked no one in particular as he continued on after Eros until he remembered that he had wings. With a laugh, he flapped his wings and lifted himself up until he could grab onto a tree branch. Pulling himself up and pushing the leaves aside, he glanced around for any sign of the river.

Stalker seemed to shudder when she heard more voices. It was true not everyone she'd known from the shop was with her, but those voice didn't sound familiar, even if they might have been friendly. She looked to her heel for Paine, the discomfort evident on her face. She shook her head and trotted up to Blue swiftly, shrugging in reply to her wondering. "Dunno." She said simply and rolled her shoulder uncomfortably, shifting her pack.
Paine sighed and looked up from her nose and the ground, to meet Stalker's eyes. She didn't understand her hesitance to other people; she was just like Lynn that way. Regardless, Paine suggled up to her hand to comfort her, and swished her tail protectively, a grin on her face. Then, she looked to the sky, hanging behind most everyone, and flicked her ears. If they were any closer to a river, surely she'd be able to hear it by now. She'd stuck her head in every off-to-the-side bramble she could, to see if that drew up any clues, like damp soil or otherwise, that would lead the group to a river.

((True you never rolled in the thread so I can't tell if you found anything or not.)) Kellan and Hitachi both didn't find anything while flying in the air.
Paine noticed something odd while sticking her head in a bramble and grabbed it to see what it is. She found an odd root lying on the ground. Blue paused as she heard someone in the direction of the shack. The voice sounded familiar but she couldn't place the voice. She turned to look at the shack and took a deep breath. "Hello! We're out here in the woods searching for the river!" She yelled to the person at the shack, "We're trying to figure out these riddles and could use some help!"Indy stopped when Blue started yelling back to the person. "Are you nuts?! What if this person meant us harm? Or like Hitachi said is following us?" He said shaking his head at his owner. He then walked ahead of everyone and veered off the to right. Maybe the river was this way.Eros shook his head at Blue and then Indy. He was smiling though which let you know he thought this was funny. He looked over at Paine and tilted his head. "Find anything?"

Stalker stopped dead in her tracks when Blue had begun to yell; she knew how foolishly she was reacting, but regardless, she sprinted ahead frantically, looking around for Paine, who seemed not to notice any of the ordeal. She then leaned against a tree to supress a tremble rising up her spine.
Paine wagged her tail and nearly pounced the odd root, dragging it back to the group, ignoring her owner as she looked at Eros. She grinned, feeling accomplished, and set it down in front of his paws. "It looks like an old root!" she informed him, sniffing at it. Then she smelled Stalker and sighed, pushing her out of her mind.What's up with Mrs. Anti-sociality... She giggled to herself.

**cocks his head toward the voice, a mannerism he has picked up from fenrir then pulls out the map wolfie had given him when she first ask him to come to the house**  **then yelling toward the voices** Greetings! Name's True, friend of Fenrir. I just recently came back to find this yellow note in the grass at the house. I'm assuming this is the riddle you speak of. According to this map the river is this way. **If it is toward Blue, then True runs to catch up. If it is away from Blue True will begin to walk, allowing the others to catch up** once he sees blue true places his fist to his chest and gives a curt bow and then shows Blue his map** This may come in handy. Kinda glad I never throw anything out, wolfie gave it to me when I discovered Fenrir and she moved out here. Been away a long time, but I'm sure a few more hours wont make a difference. She knows I love a good puzzle. (off to roll for using the map to find the river)

Stalker opened one eye, haring the approaching footsteps, and catches True's gesture of bowing with fists on his chest. A smile started to flow onto her lips and she looked back over at Paine, who was still engrossed in her finding. At least he used a gesture she understood. This gave Stalker a small hint of Confidence as she examined what was going on.

Opting to hang upside down like a bat, Hitachi gave a frustrated sigh at finding nothing as he swung back and forth.
"Well that's just brill. I got nothing cept I'm bloody confuddled." With another sigh, he fell down from the branch he was hanging off and landed beside the others, listening to them call out to whoever had followed them out there. Looking at Indy, he nodded his agreement at what the other anthro was saying. As he turned to start off down the path again, he caught sight of Stalker and someone he didn't know. It was apparently the person who was joining up with them. Choosing to keep quiet for once, he nodded his head warily at the newcomers and glanced down at Paine and he discovery. "Oui, what's tha?"
