She listened to him and just thought about her own sister. She once knew her but didn't know her anymore. A small sad sigh escaped her lips and her eyes went looking down at the ocean. Her tail flicked back and forth "I see but at least you see your sister!" she told him. She knew she had a brother as well but doesn't recall much about him.
Her crimson eyes raised back on to him as if waiting for Alik to start a conversation. It seemed it was her asking all the odd questions that she normally wouldn't ask.

A small smile continued to stay on his lips, but his eyes got darker, shadowed by sadness. “We don’t hang out much often. She’s off doing her own stuff now, and I just sleep. So we don’t see each other to often.” He said while staring at the waters. When they used to be around each other, they had still been foals. But once they reached adulthood, they both just went there own ways.
Alik looked at her from the corner of his eye, and decided to move on to a hopefully better subject. “So, what are your parents like then? Do you see them more often?” Maybe it would be better, or it could possibly be a worse conversation, but it was better than being in an awkward silence.

Kaim had wanted to comment on how lazy of a stallion he sounded. Though she held it back in since it would probably be taken wrong if anything. When she was questioned about her parents she was silent for a moment.
"I haven't seen them since I was little. I got separated from them." she nods and sighs a bit.
Her crimson eyes glanced at him "How about you? Do you see your parents much?" her tail flicked.

Well, although it was a better conversation and she was seemingly starting to relax, she still didn’t like him, and obviously did not trust him. “I see them enough.” He sighed as he thought of his parents. “My mom and I get along great, always have. My dad, however, haven’t always seen eye to eye.” That was partially because his dad was a little shorter, but that was only technically.
Really though, his mom and dad were practically the same height, normal size for a mare, slightly shorter for a stallion. How he grew to be taller than both of them, he would never know. One of those wonders in the world that may never be solved.

His father was short? She blinked her crimson eyes while giving a confused look. How was a normal stallion to be short? She knew there was a little tiny breed but she didn't think those two could interbreed.
"Your father is short?" tilts her head.
She didn't talk much about her family though she didn't care for her father. He was the reason she wasn't born with wings.

Alik nodded. “He isn’t super short like the little soquili I have seen. From a distance he looks to be a normal size, but if I stood next to him I would be taller.” Maybe that was why his father disliked him, although he knew a main reason was not as active as his father wanted him to be.
When he was younger his father always wanted to do the father son thing, hang out and teach him everything. But ever since he was small he was lazy and never wanted to do anything. So in the end his father just gave up on him and now they didn’t talk often. Just thinking of the circumstances made his ears lower and his eyes turned a darker gold.
