It was a tight squeeze for kichi as she landed on the ground and then moved through the large trees. Being one of the bigger kyn species had it's disadvantages. And, flying over the trees wouldn't have been good either since they wouldn't have been able to see through them.
"can you see anything yet kichi?" poke asked, and then dodged a few low lying branches in her path.
"nope, still nothing" kichi squeezed through a narrow space between two trees. "But I do see a c;earing up ahead. lets go that away so I can move a little easier"

Leoni glided along, both he and his rider keeping a careful watch. They hadn't spotted any sign of one of the strange kyns yet, though.
"Have you heard anything new, Leoni?" Kailind asked her kyn after a bit.
"No, not a sound for a while now," he replied. They continued in silence for a moment more, then he added, "I'm not even sure if we're going in the right direction. It could have moved farther north or south instead."
"Let's keep going east for a little while longer," Kailind told him decisively. Leoni nodded and kept flying in the same direction.

Once int he clearing, it became much easier to move and the duo were able to see much more of their surroundings, but this didn't help them much. Poke asked her dragon if she could lift her head a bit more, and once this was done poke saw a path ahead of her that lead to the south.
"If we go along the path, we might be able to spot kyn that are thinking the same thing?" kichi suggested. She could also see that next to the path was another lake. Perhaps there would be more luck here

"Hurry up Amp!" Keely whispered somewhat loudly as she reached the path with excitement. It was exhilarating, hunting unknown things like this, even if the only clue that something was out here was a rustling in the far off distance.
Ampelos drew up behind Keely, gazing ahead of them. The path seemed to continue far off into the distance. "Where to now, Keely?" he asked, knowing that trying to curb her enthusiasm would be futile.
"Let's continue down this path a bit, and see where it goes."

Jubilee was happy, eager to maybe find a new friend to bring home for Karly and KiJi, tail whipping about wildly of the Lunar female. Now...where to start?

((All kyn have moved!))
poke mattix There is something in the distance, a cloud of dust rising into the air from some sort of creatures' movement. Whatever it was, it had to be of a decent size to create enough particulate matter for that one.
ChaosTheories Something very close darts off into the distance, its black form visible across the road! It was Lunar-sized, and clearly wasn't in the mood to be found.
Cherry_chain There's a flash of something nearby, but the creature manages to get out of your site before you can get a good look at it. Whatever it is, it looks to be Lunar-sized. Off in the distance in another direction, there is something in the sky.
[jessii] Something growled at them from a nearby covering of trees before moving off, a few scorch and claw marks left in its wake. They had come very close to a feral.
Draconargentum In the far distance there is something in the sky, but there is also something on the ground, near you, moving away quickly. It might have been the size of a Lunar. At the very least, it wasn't as big as a Japanese Kyn would have been.
mewrose Something in the distance - the thing in the sky - is becoming a little clearer now, but just barely. At the same time, there's the keen sense that you're leaving somethign behind you.
Nc-chan There is nothing in the immediate area, though there is something way in the distance that's in the air. It might even just be an odd shaped cloud.

their heads snapped up at the sound, and both could easily see the clouds of dust rising. They ha dno idea what it was, but by the looks of things it was proably...big
"I think we should do a air search now" poke said to kichi, and she nodded in response.
"yes. In the air we will be able to see what that creature is. And if need be we can also make a quick gettaway"
with poke holding on tight to her yellow mane, the zebra easten lept of the ground, using her eastern powers to gain altitude with snake-like movements.

As Kailind searched the ground intently, Leoni stopped and craned his head to look behind them. Seeing her kyn change his focus, Kailind asked, "Is something up?"
It took Leoni a moment to answer, but then he slowly said, "I'm not sure. I get the feeling we're leaving something behind. But I haven't seen or heard anything back there."
Kailind looked back as well, trying to spot anything that might haved caused Leoni's feeling. Predictably, she saw nothing. Still, it was a better lead than a sound they'd heard a while ago from an uncertain direction.
"Alright, let's turn back, then." Glancing arond once more, she saw they were near what looked like a dirt path. Pointing to it, she suggested, "Why don't we follow that for a bit? Not only will a kyn be easier to spot on it, but we'll have a better idea of where we've been."
"Good idea," Leoni responded, then turned south to follow the path.

"W-what was that!?" Keely shouted as something darted by extremely close. It was a dark shape... maybe a Lunar? It was in the distance, but it seemed to be traveling at a fast pace. She could'nt really tell where the creature was going.
"Ampelos! Help me out here?" she almost-pleaded with the Gargoyle Kyn, feeling like her chance at adventure was slipping away. He just shook his head. He wasn't paying enough attention to tell, either.
"Well, c'mon, let's go down the path a bit more."

Oh! What is that? But it's rather far up there...and probably nothing but clouds... Jubilee let her ears flatten a bit before letting them regain their perky uprightness, straining to listen for something maybe a bit closer while she walked.

Myrrh's eyes were still searching for that something she had seen in the sky, but it was Jicho's head that jerked in surprise at the rustle from nearby. Silently he brushed his tail against her flank, and pointed out the direction with his thick snout. The two stalked slowly, carefully, more in the interest of protecting themselves from attack than sneaking up on whatever was near.

Continuing with their plan, Leoni and Kailind traveled farther along the dirt path, which now led them more west than south. Both had their eyes peeled and ears alert, straining for any glimpse of the strange kyns. Kailind dearly hoped that they'd find one, as she was becoming increasingly curious what they might be like.

after they were airborn, kichi circled the area a few times, trying to see if she could spot anything from the air. She was tense, being increasinly weary of whatever might decide to jump out at them. From the air, she could spot a lake to their left, and the pathway to their right. Down below there was just dirt.
Taking lead, she deiced to travel inbetween the lake and path

Jubilee hopped on random rocks as she walked farther down a path, managing to pop a few into the air so she could smack them to either side of the trail in an attempt to keep herself occupied. Hehe...wonder what would happen if I accidently hit someone like this? She knew she'd probably end up apologizing, but at least she'd have someone else to talk to...
