Dream- COOL
Sugar- I LOVE those "these two novels got together!" moments. They're made of awesome.
I suppose The Doorstop had an OMG moment at the start. This spectacular instance of the heavens crying: "UR DOIN IT RAWNG" as far as my previous attempts to capture the applicable themes.
And yep. Crawford and Ken. So... icky.

I haven't had my work featured or anything. But everyone who reads my stories say I've got talent.

I work shop with an award winning, published author (Michael Koryta). And, every time he praises a batch of pages, I dance around and contemplate Snoopy dances. Having someone who has won awards, and who is making a living doing what I want to do really takes my breath away.
Also. Finishing my first novel. Two hundred and thirty-nine pages. Just wrapped that up last night. That was the biggest "OMG" moment ever.

I looked up Michael Koryta. He sounds like a class act! I'd be thrilled to have him as a mentor. You're so lucky ^^.

I met him through the Creative Writing class at my high school (he's a local). It just sort of stuck after that.

I think just breaking my writer's block procrastination and coming up with an idea was my OMG moment.
Also, congratulations!

Um, I don't have OMG moments, I have OMMP moments. (Oh my mashed potatoes... not my idea) The biggest one was finding out that there's already something verrrrrry similar to something I'm writing (well, I put it away for a while) already on the market... it kind of made me laugh, and I'm going to have to think of another way to do it. So yeah, that was an OMMP moment. And, a good one was when I found that in CAT tests (like IQ tests) I got 142 for my verbal! That's nearly genius level. 3nodding

I guess my OMG/publishing moments came from when I was on the editing staff for my high school's literary magazine. I was on the staff for two years, and got three things published. It was not personal bias. My teacher and the others on the staff had to approve it first. Still, it was nice to see my name in print, even though the publication was relatively small (no more than 300 copies per year).
My most recent OMG moment was realizing that I could tie a supposedly separate story into my main universe just by replacing one of the shops. Double points by giving a character from the main series a mini cameo, and opening up more opportunities with the once-separate story's characters.
I just have this knack for making things click into place.

I had an O.M.G incident yesterday where I checked my FictionPress account as I keep getting reviews from a year ago, even two years ago. I found I have almost 40,000 hits and people from every country are reading them. I thought the M/M market was slim but it seems loads of people love my work, judging from the hits, reviews and everything else. I even had people from Africa and Saudi Arabia there!
Amazing.

Wow, DesertRoseFallen, that's awesome! FP is where I got my start, though my stories usually quit getting hits and reviews after about six months, except for one, but that's because I keep advertising it, lol. It's amazing to see where the readers are, like Iceland and Qatar. Who knew?
My most recent OMG moment was when I submitted a story to my e-publisher (which I almost didn't do because I thought the story was too weird) and having him say it was one of my best. Then he told me the story would be released March 5th. eek

Thank you. biggrin
I love writing strange stories, however I usually don't try to publish them, lol. I tend to play it safe with those.
Another OMG moment happened today. I was in the post office, mailing off my latest contract, and the postal worker behind the counter, who I've spoken with a few times and who has helped me mail other contracts, asked how the famous author was doing. It took a minute to realize he was talking about me, lol.
