Oh, bother Seth thought to himself, leaning against the doorway of the chamber. His hood was placed to cover up the cloth that covered his eyes. Technically, Seth was a part of the council representing the Myrukan people. Nobody stated that he had to sit with the others, however. The constant chatter of the civilians already gathered was begining to hurt his ears. Even worse, the hairs on the back of his neck told him that he was being watched, by a great many people. Myrukans were few, and Seth still had his weapons on him, which was allowed by the guards due to his status and disability. For all the civians knew however, he could be an assassin. His head snapped in Rikku's direction as she spoke, the only voice to catch his attention. He had never truely met her before, but she sounded young. Even without his eyes he could tell who she was, the respect was tangible in the air. Seth could feel who she was. Though he could almost always remember a person's voice, hers always seemed to leave his mind after hearing it. A phenominon that puzzled him, but he could not be bothered to look into. He knew who she was, and would every time she spoke.
He dropped his head moments later however, keeping the blindfold out of sight. If they noticed he was Myrukan, they would most surely know he was their representitive. Seth didn't want to be bothered to sit, and speak with his so called equals. Seth was a man, outcast by other men and accepted by those who are like him, his opinion would mean little difference on the council anyway. So, he waited, and listened to what the meeting would tell. Hopefully he wouldn't need to get involved. Though, some things that were brought up during meetings really did seem worthless to Seth, and it made him wonder why he had to drag himself here to listen to them. Sighing, his left hand pulled the cloak's hood down just a little lower, as he continued to wait.

Maia nodded slowly, "Ugh....this is taking a lot longer than usual." She turned away from the weregryphon, yes, she knew what the girl was.
"Rikku's lookin' at you." She added, "You know her?"
She attempted to smile, revealing sharp teeth that flashed in the light, she was sure that the girl had a story worth hearing and Maia wanted to know, "So, tell me, how do you know Rikku?"

Sunia sat on a flower as fairy size and watched the insects around her. She saw a bettle roll over on it's back and went to help it back to it's feet. "There you go." She smiled and the bettle went on his way. She flue strait up and looked around the area for anything the could harm the insects or animals. "Hm..." She looked in all directions.

She blinked and looked at the girl sitting next to her. Narrowing her eyes and then having them fly open at noticing the girl's tails and teeth. " No...I don't really. I was just wondering myself." Ruri had spent most of her life traveling within the human settlements and they had been small. The other races simply hid themselves very well inside those small communities or didn't live there at all. The villagers treated anything different or new with disdain as Ruri had figured out. So this girl, with herself so open about what she was confused her, and so did the priestess for that matter. Changing the subject Ruri said " I didn't know that the Priestess wasn't human, or the council for that matter..."

Rikku sat at the table looking around. The Myrukan council member... maybe he got lost or something.... "We are missing one." She said looking at the empty chair at the council, and scanning the crowd before seeing Seth standing on the other side of the room, leaning up against the door way.
"Well we cannot start the meeting until all members of the council are here." One of the older men on the council said setting his hands on the table.
"Yes we can... The Myrukan Representative, has told me that he has urgent matters to attend to, and he will be unable to attend this meeting. I told him that his presence will be missed and I would really wish for him to be here but I understand." She said making up a lie so that He didn't have to move, the councilmen shook his head and mumbled something under his breath, but just sat back in his chair. Rikku stood out of her chair and began to speak. "I now call this meeting to begin, if I am not mistaken we are here to talk about the Day of Oracles that is coming in a couple of weeks." She said looking to the other Councilmen to see if they had anything to add.

Seth nodded under his hood, she was young, but not ignorant. She also seemed to have good eyes, something Seth could respect. His attention had been kept. In truth, Seth had many urgent matters to attend to, but he valued his duty above his tasks, and his duty was here. Whether or not he carried out the duty as expected was another matter entirely. Running his hand through his hair, he noted alot of tention was still centered around him. Thankfully the chatter had died down. Due to his lack of sight, Seth had always had a distorted view of time. The news that the Day of the Oracles was only a couple of weeks away came as a suprise. So, this meeting does have some value. Seth thought to himself, sitting on the floor and folding his legs while resting his bow across his lap. Something else that caught his attention, was the conversation between Ruri and Maia. It was rare to hear either of the, specific, vocal pattern of their two peoples. Much less in the same room.
It was hard not to eavesdrop with his ears. Technically, he was eavesdropping on everyone inside, and quite a few outside the chamber. He was able to focus his hearing on a select few however, and not the grubling of the guards outside. While he waiting for the meeting to progress further Seth adjusted his blindfold, which had began to slip onto his nose. He noted to tighten it later. With such a topic as the Day of the Oracle it was going to be a long meeting. Sometimes he hated his duty, one that others considered "honorable" he found it distracting. He couldn't complain however, it was more of a luxury than being a farmer would. After ten years, Seth had grown used to the duty.

Maia sighed loudly, "Finally, we're starting." Her voice carried loudly, and she cringed, "Whoops," She added in a mere whisper, "That was unfortunate." She peered around, seeing potential enemies contained together in the same room was a laugh, in her opinion, they struggled to make peace. Unfortunately, it was an act she'd seen before, tribes and whole races always attempted to create some sort of peaceful bond, only to have it shattered by one person, always one person...

As the girl beside her stated her thoughts rather loudly, Ruri chuckled and whispered " I know how you feel. Taking a little too long for my personal comfort as well." As she settled herself in for the meeting she pulled her cloak up at little farther over her head, just encase a stray ray of sunlight peaked in from the windows above her. Sighing as she heard the topic of conversation, Ruri crossed her arms and just prayed for some information on another subject she would be much more interested in.

Maia groaned and looked up to the ceiling, quietly this time. She liked being in charge, but no one seemed to like having an old spirit like her around, she was at first jealous of Rikku when she was born, but after a trial of events, the kitsune became attached to the girl. She now spent most of her idle time following Rikku, making sure she was okay, like a guardian angel.

"I guess if the Priestess does not know why the meeting was called, I will start it truly! First for a brighter starting to the meeting, the Day of Oracles for my people is the beginning of a sacred festival my people hold every year. This year’s celebrates our Goddess of Union, usually meaning this year's festival will be larger then usual since all tribes are allowed to attend the festival. The problem is that my Tribe defends the northern regions and we need some of the less worked tribes to take our place for a few days. Those not wishing to join in the festival I suggest take our place. The celebration lasts one to two days at the most; One day to celebrate and one day to recover from what humans like to call 'hang overs'. That was my true business here, but now for the true point of this meeting."
Grimloq stood from his seat and reached behind his back to untie the scroll his had attached to his armor. Lizard Men often carried things of importance attached to their armor so they wouldn't get lost or stolen; a Lizard Men's armor was one of its most prized possessions. He unrolled the scroll onto the table and began to read it. The scroll was written in the language of the Old Ones, ancient gods of creation worshipped by the Lizard Men. It was told these gods helped the other gods create land and sea using their knowledge of past life. It was believed by Lizard Men every god existed; even the gods of their enemies were believed. This caused the Lizard Men to be more accepted among religious groups among every tribe since they believe every god had a hand in creation. The dialect written on the scroll was forbidden for other Tribes to read or even learn it. Grimloq read it closely and began to speak again to the council.
"My scouts report of Water Army expansion, it isn't much of a expansion of their underwater bases, but a military expansion. We believe for the first time in over a thousand years, the Water Army has begun recruit outside of their limit of soldiers. If this is true, they could out number our military in a matter of weeks. I vow as my part of the argument to slow their army increase by attacking their farms and slowing food income. If we do this, they cannot support the increase of their army within the waters of this land."
Grimloq very well knew that by attacking farms, they would be assaulting families that ran the farms, but Grimloq didn't see them as innocent victims. He saw them as supporters of the Water Army and was as guilty as the troops that fight against the creatures of land. In Grimloq's eyes, they deserved to die just like any other soldier of the water.
"The day of your damnation is at hand land filth. Soon your pitiful existence on this abomination of this world of water will end."
Mizu held a Lizard Man scout in his clawed grasp by the neck, holding him above the sands that surrounded the Land of Blossoms. Mizu was steadily crushing the neck of the reptile and watching his every moment of suffering. The scout managed to speak as he was experiencing the pain of Mizu's grip.
"You can crush my body Demon, but you'll never crush my spirit. Our kind will defe..."
Mizu put his full force of strength upon the scout's throat and crushed his neck, throwing his now limp body aside into the waters. He grumbled in anger as he stared out into the trees of land and cursed as he felt the breeze of wind across his exposed eyes.
"One day this place will be underwater like everything should be, not up in the skies. War will end when this place sinks and no longer will any creature of water be threatened by the advancement of these filthy beasts."
Mizu stepped back and into the ocean as he turned around, cursing again for his anger towards land and all of its inhabitants. What Mizu hated the most, beyond creatures of land were his own kind that helped them, he wanted to crush them more than anything else. As his body became emerged in water, Mizu's anger dropped drastically, making him calm. Something about being above water made his anger flare uncontrollably, even sending him into a blood lust when his anger was already at a high amount. Mizu jumped from the sands and used this momentum to go farther than if he walked. The Warriors of the Sea only swam if required, but often just spent their time walking on the bottom of the sea.

Sunia spotted Mizu and the Lizard Man in the distance. "Whats going on?" She flue a little closer and then took behind a tree. She remained quit as she sat down on a leaf to watch. Scared she wanted to run, fly far away, but she was frozen in place. This is a big problem, a very big problem. She looked around and then watched Mizu go back into the water. Carefully she took to the sky as got closer to the dead Lizard Man. Taking to her human size she landed gently onto the ground. She got down to her knees and closed his eyes. "May you rest in peace." She said as one tear fell from her eye. "A life ended to quick." She stood back up and walked to the edge of the water. Her wings began to moved and she lifted off the ground. Pushing her self foreword, she began to go over to water looking at what was happening below. I need to tell the leader of the Lizerd Men about this.

"I cannot justify attacking farms and innocent people who are only doing what They've been told to do by there leader." Rikku said looking away into the crowd. "But I am still young, and I don't know alot about the ways of war... But if it is what you think is best.. Then we shall attack their farms and destroy there food...." She said shamefully. THe other councilmen just nodded approvingly like stupid sheep, before one of them spoke up.
"Grimloq you may not leave your post for some silly festival." He said coldly. "If you haven't noticed we are in times of war.. you cant just put it all on pause so you can go a-drinking with your friends." He said pompously and ignorantly.
"Hush, he may go if he chooses it is only for a couple of days." Rikku said calmly as a couple of the councilmen stared her down.
"We are all equals on this council Priestess" He said smugly. "I think we have given you too much leniency in these matters."
"Silence yourself." Rikku said sternly staring down the Councilmen.
"No, I will not you spoiled little brat of a priestess." He said boldly.
"I will not have you insulting others beliefs, and nor will I have you talk down to me. Silence yourself or I will silence you." She yelled slamming her hands on the table as she stood up. "If you say one more disrespectful word to anyone in this room or on this council I won't hesitate to take you down." She said as a ball of light already formed in her hand.

This is what Seth was hoping not to happen, one hwere he would have to get involved. Standing, he placed his bow back in it's holster, and made his way through the crowd of people, towards the council. "Calm yourself priestess, you are the will of this land. Act in front of your people as respectably as that role implies." Seth said, calmly sitting down in his chair, albeit hesitantly. He did not turn to the councilman that had spoken out, the priestesses point had been made. Due to the tribes closenesswith the lizardmen the Myrukan people were attending the festival as well. If the councilman spoke up again Seth would assist in silencing him, ending the issue. "As for the matter at hand, burn the crops, destroy the farms, but leave the people be. They can well enough survive without their homes, for a time." Seth spoke, after clearing his throat. I'd better not regret taking part in this meeting. he thought to himself, pulling his hood back, and removing his blindfold. They knew what he was, there was no use in the blindfold now. Running a hand through his hair Seth sat back, straight in his chair.
While waiting for the other councilmen's, particularly the priestesses reaction, Seth began to ponder if he would attend the festival. Probably not, there was always stuff to do, and little time to do it. Then again, he had never missed the festival. He didn't get to see his people very often anymore either. Putting it into the back of his mind Seth scanned his useless eyes across the council chamber, already regretting saying something.

In a uncharacteristic gesture, Ruri jump to her feet and cheered on Seth. Her hood flew up a little, but she was too busy at the moment to pull it back down. The people around her started to look in her direction, and it took her a minute to notice what she was doing. Grinning sheepishly, Ruri sat back down and muttered, " Sorry about that..." She pulled her hood back down over her eyes and face and tried look inconspicuous again, which was never going work.
