::Unks watched as this was going on. It seems like he wasn't the only one who was busy while waiting for the dust to clear and settle. He noticed the area around him changing at a unnatural rate of speed. He jumped back quickly as from under the ground the large vine attacked his pillars.
He smirked looking up at Kendo and made sure he was out of range which was silly. When it came to mages he was never in safe range. He placed his left hand on the ring and began to rise his power level quickly as his ki energy surged through his hand. Ice began to cover the entire ring floor coating it very thickly, and also covering Kendo's large vine. Unks then stood up.
"Very clever trick Master Kendo, but there is one thing you forget. Cold kills plants."
Unks began to fire icy ki blasts at the outsides of the ring covering the plates around the ring in ice as he did to the ring itself. He then turned to face Kendo and drew his sword::
"For what I don't kill, this can cut down to size."

Raising an eyebrow at the Saiya-jin
"Your thought process lacks depth..."
Even to him the pun was bad, but it was no less true. Upturning his hands once again the ground beneath them rumbled fissures once again cracking through the surface of the frozen floor. Exploding through the frozen over coat new vines similar in size to the one he had created before, pierced through their frozen forbearer's, whipping massive chunks of frozen debris at the Saiya-jin.
Relinquishing his tethers the ground ceased to rumble. Using the very mana of the earth of around them, the spell drew little from the user but rendered the ground unsuitable for life if used for too long.
Sighing inwardly the Kitsune grasped the hilt of his sword.
"This grows old..."

::Unks jumped back once more as the ground shook violently and another large vine came crashing through the ground now destroying his icy layer of ring. He quickly sliced and diced the large vine and landed facing Kendo once more. He noticed the hand of Kendo on his sword hilt. Unks threw his blade in the air and caught it backwards so the blade was behind him he crouched down.
"Seems like your ready to dance."
Unks' ice blue eyes watched Kendo with great interest and was ready as he was in his stance ready to clash blades with the kitsune. He sighed softly as his icy cover was still intact letting off steam from the heat being on it, but still not melting::

Remaining mute the sage smirked.
As he rushed over the battered terrain, the vines had managed to make already worn ground riddled with shallow enbankments and scattered debris.
Transversing the maze like series of depressions and natural bunkers the Kitsune was atop the Saiya-jin in mere seconds. Flicking his sword hilt he quick drew the great katana. Grazing the ground sparks danced into the air as the serrated blade arching upwards in a vertical strike.
Mere centimeters before reached cutting range he abruptly switched his handling on the blade. Jutting the hilt foward he exploded foward in a series of high velocity blunt pin point thrusts

::Unks quickly put his blade up in a blocking position and looked at Kendo. He then began dodging each thrusts with left and right sidesteps. His sword at his side he waited for the right moment before striking.
As he did a side step he put his weight on his right foot and pivoted spinning and moving behind Kendo and did an upward vertical strike at the Kitsune's backside::

How the Saiya-jin was capable of so easily seeing through his feint was beyond him, but such things were of little consequence. Regardless the purple haired man was always so direct with his approaches. Dipping out of The Kitsune's view the ice clad warrior seemingly vanished.
"Never ceasing to be Interesting..."
Closing his eyes the sage laughed heartily.
"Yes, come at me!"
The Saiya-jin would meet the abrupt flash of the business end of the snow fox's sword. Regardless of whether he had hit or not, the blade and fluidly been whipped around the old mans form, cleaving the air in a wide arch.

::Unks watched as Kendo attacked wanting to try and catch the older kitsune in a tight spot Unks put his left hand up and trusted in his icy shield armor and caught Kendo's oncoming blade. The blade cracked the ice as he held onto it.
He held onto the blade as tightly as he can and pulled it in so Kendo would come closer to him. As he pulled he used his right hand to swing his own sword horizontally at the Elder::
"Not bad old man, not bad at all."

The Kitsune's sword struck with an odd thunk. Furrowing his brow through closed eyes, the old fox released his sword with a smirk and rocked forward as the blade swung for his back.
"Are you trying to die?"
Single handplanting he then proceeded to mule kick the hilt of his blade further through the man's armor. In the same movement, his tail had already wrapped about the sword hilt to wrench it free regardless of what happened next.
Likelihood of death was low regardless. But action would have to be taken.

"Trying to die? Are you kidding, this icy armor is practically indestructible. I wanted to test it out."
::Smirking as Kendo tried to but the sword further into the armor with the mule kick Unks' ice manipulation was already working fast and causing Kendo's blade to become part of the armor. So kicking the hilt didn't make it move.
When the Kitsune used his tail to pull the sword away it came out but it wasn't easy. Unks then jumped back as well and used his power to dispel his icy armor and looked at him and smiled::
"About time I made things a little even."

Based on how prone the Saiya-jin was to leaping back after any close quarters combat, the sage had thought ahead. In hand planting forward, the action had served another feature rather than just dodging.
Crystallized on the ground a short distance behind the purple haired man a thin sheet of ice formed. Using his opponents ice armor as inspiration he had casted an inaudible spell in anticipation.
"Hmmmph..."
Sheathing his sword, the Kitsune turned to face his opponent.
"Enough prattle!"
A deep gutteral chant seemed to seep from the archmage's mouth as the shadows around and beneath him started to widen and merge. Likely something big was coming.

::As Unks landed from his jump back he slipped slightly on the small ice patch that Kendo created not to long ago it seemed. Unks watched as he put his sword away and did the same thing. He continued to look at Kendo and the area around him.
His ice blue eyes watched intently now that the shadows around the elder mage began to grow. Not knowing what to make of this Unks wasn't going to wait. He quickly let his energy rise in the pit of his stomach. He then brought his hands up and made the hand symbols of; Horse and then Tiger. Unks took in a long breath of air filling his lungs up.
"Dragon Flame No-Jutsu!"
Unks released that large breath of air he took in and breathed it out. The area in front of him and going towards Kendo became engulfed in flames burning the vines and what ever else the fire touched. Unks pulled back and coughed slightly from the burning in his throat and watched as the fire continued to burn::

At first it swelled about him like the changing of the tides, the shadows then rushed forth churning like an all consuming wave. In seconds the calm exploded forward as if a tsunami.
The dark mass surged slamming into the flames, their existence instantly being snuffed out like the dying sparks of a spent bonfire.
Converging on the Saiya-jin like a great body of writhing water the great mass rose to a stifling height as if wishing to blot out the sky. Crumbling from their bonds the remnants of arena floor tore free, only be absorbed into the darkness. At this point the shadows moved in unison like a hungry wall reaching beyond the boundaries of the ring itself.
Obscured from sight the Kitsune could not be seen, but likely such things would be of little concern. Vines were a mere memory.

::Unks watched as this large wave like mass of shadows consumed the entire arena and made it's way towards him. He closed his eyes and began to focus his psych powers around his body and his hands. His body was then surrounded by an invisible shield as the wave crashed into him and past.
The shield caused the wave to break around him and then form back up behind him. He then took his hands and opened them slowly and the shadows parted like the red sea and Unks opened his eyes to see around the ring and where is opponent was. While he was trying to lock onto Kendo's energy level his own began to spike to a higher point and he became super saiya-jin.
His fierce green eyes flashed as his aura danced around him in a bright yellow almost golden color, his purple locks now yellow a slight smirk came to his lips as he held his psych field around him until the shadows vanished::

The shadows crashed around the Saiya-jin falling around him as if he were an island in sea of black water. Lapping around him the incessant glow of his super saiya-jin aura kept the great mass at bay.
"A Decent application, but what are you waiting for? How unsporting to hide behind your barrier."
Sighing the mage stretched both his hands out before him.
"RETALIATE!"
With a grunt the kitsune thrusted his palms downward a 20 foot radius of arena floor imploding on itself from the layer of shadow atop it. The Saiya-jin would find himself atop an unstable 7 foot pillar of battered stone. The Sage's next few moments would appear like a blur to anyone view, having been enacted in seconds.
At frightening speed, the snow fox upturned his palms and thrusted them upward, the shadows converging once more, this time pulverizing the pillar from below. Exploding upward the shadows rushed up like a geyser whipping the Saiya-jin, and the remains of the pillar into air with horrible power and velocity.
With a deep guttural martial arts kiai, the sage began to batter the air with a series of powerful open palmed strikes. The Shadows moved in tandem pelting blows at his opponent mimicking his blows with amplified force. Ironically the glow from the Super Saiya-jin aura would keep the shadows from physically touching him, but the concussive force they produced would batter the golden haired warrior irregardless.

::Unks wobbled a bit as the ground under him rose and became a pillar. He did notice though that his aura was affecting the shadows and keeping them at bay. He watched as shadows then destroyed the large pillar he was standing on. He jumped into the air and hovered as he kept his aura dancing around him adding more energy to it so his aura got larger.
His green eyes watched as the debris from the pillar came at him with the shadows right behind hind, and with Kendo's help moving towards him at great speed. He then began grabbing the rocks with his mind and throwing them to the side and also using his hands to throw ki at other bits to destroy them. While he was in the air he lowered his psych barrier.
Once all the rocks were cleared away Unks was going to take out the shadows the best way he could think of he moved higher into the air and brought his hands to his side and cupped them together and began to gather energy.
"Ka. . .Me. . .Ha. . .Me. ." As the Saiya-jin spoke a large blue orb formed in his cupped hands. "Ha!!!" Unks thrust his arms forwards releasing the kamehameha wave towards the ground and shadows below trying to disperse them::
