Personality: Basil is a very friendly anthro. He tends to spout odd things at different times. He tends not to live in the reality. He hates to do so, but he will appear every now and then. Some think he’s crazy others think he was born that way. His artistic ability and his constant yearn for knowledge makes him wiser than he appears and wiser beyond his years. His heart is warm and welcoming and he is willing to tell you what he thinks. It may not be clear, but things connect after time. He tries hard to make his words connect. It may take awhile but he’s a puzzle, but he’s not impossible to figure out. It's just a matter if you can comprehend. He’ll stretch you thin, but in the end there’s something very valuable waiting for you. Compared to most other artists like him, he’s the most understandable.

Past: Basil was born on the 7th day of March in a small town in England. He was an orphan to a very rich family and loved them dearly. He was the youngest of 2 brothers and 3 sisters, all of which taught and cared for him well. At a young age, the boy showed interest in art and would draw the day away. On other days, he would run around with his sisters in the town happily. He was naive and never thought of the world evil as most children at a young age. He was convinced that all were good so he wasn’t afraid of other people. As cheerful as he was, things had to come to an end. Disease struck his house with a powerful blow and his sister and father came down with it. Unable to be cured, they passed away shortly.

At the age of 9, he would leave the house for hours at a time while his older brothers worked and his mother cleaned the house. He would go to a nearby crick to draw and, later on, in years that came, paint. With encouragement from his family, he would sell the paintings for a good sum of money. While selling his paintings one deliciously sunny day, a young man approached him boldly. He had complimented Basil on his work and the two became friends. They went to lunch on occasion and the other would tell him of his travels and of the art of the world. He shared his knowledge to Basil and the anthro was intrigued to a great extent.

He imagined the places his new friend told him about and would always come home cheery. One night he couldn’t go to sleep, and in the restless moment, he decided that he too would travel the world. He would travel with Orion as his companion. Orion had offered several times, but Basil would just smile and chuckle with delight. Never had he thought of the opportunities it could lead to, the adventures!

The next day, Basil had his stuff packed and said a sorrowful goodbye to his loved ones. Orion waited for him at the train station and when he arrived they greeted each other with broad smiles. For months, the two traveled in happiness till one night they had an argument on what to do on a certain topic. Basil wanted to go to the U.S. They had the money, but Orion said they should wait.

Orion and Basil went to bed as if nothing happened. The next morning Basil woke to find his things, his money, his possessions, gone, and no Orion to be spotted. Basil was given a very rude and unkind awakening to the world the following months. The anthro never found Orion and never intended to. What had happened for a reason. Basil began to use chalks for they were cheaper and would draw wondrous murals for who ever would watch. Slowly, he gained enough money to move on with his life, which had come to a severe halt.

It surprised him how he didn’t mind the solitude, so when he came to the U.S. he took up residence in a large and magnificent tree house. He only had the necessities, and didn’t yearn for more. Though he had grown up rich he slowly taught himself about different cultures, and art, and history. He spent his extra money on books, which he cared tenderly for and art supplies that he lived for. Basil loved the outdoors and would have it no other way.
