PRP between Basil (Little Fishy) and Jigue (MoogerMint).

This is only for us, unless otherwise stated so please don't barge in. You will not be loved if you do :3

Mini-plot: Babies

Setting: Park :3
PostPosted: Fri Sep 05, 2008 10:25 pm

The feline scooted around the mural he was creating carefully, his skirt up so as not to drag and his hair flipped back so as not to get colored. Of course, his hands were several different colors along with mixes of probably new colors.

Tail swishing he hummed quitely, pressing his glasses a bit farther o nthe bridge of his nose. He'd been there and had started about nine that morning, and was there after lost to time except to assess how much faster he needed to work before dark.

Smearing a color, he poked it with a bare toe, blending it from where he waas then moved onto what he had been planning to color. He had the basic outline and landscape drawn already, not he was just adding to make it better.

His ears went back as he pondered colors, scooting to grab a chalk he'd left behind on accident before starting on it.

(( I suuuuuck... D; I make you create this pretty thread, and then I don't reply for almost two months. D: How are Basil and Jigue going to have any kids if THIS keeps up? XD ))

"Are you sure you want to go out by yourself this late in the day? It's going to get dark in a few hours, maybe even less with the days getting shorter!" MoogerMint huffed lightly, trying to heave a few cases of soda into the storage room. The kitsune woman had recently come back from the grocery store, carrying more than she should in supplies for all of the residents of the aptly-named Bates Motel. Jiki, the resident head Anthro at the apartment complex fidgeted in place before going to help her, hoping she didn't strain herself in the process.

Jigue stood by the door, his long-sleeved shirt stripped from his body due to the warmth of the day. He still wore his lime green vest over his shoulders, but the thing hardly radiated any heat to his thickly-furred body. His sightless eyes were pointed downward as he remained silent, pondering if he should just leave now, to save himself from the lecturing. His grip on his violin case, partially hidden behind his body, tightened a bit in frustration. Couldn't a guy go for a stroll in the park without somebody constantly worrying?

Jiki's mouth tweaked partially, understanding MoogerMint's worry over the blind feline venturing out on his own -- which he rarely did, when it came down to it -- and yet also empathic over the way Jigue felt in this situation. He knew this concern was only rubbing Jigue the wrong way, but it wasn't as if it was without cause. The cat had gotten too confident. Whatever happened when he was out by himself last time, it had made Jigue quite happy, and Jiki was sure he had only wanted to relive it. However, Jiki also knew that the world beyond those doors weren't all so great, and MoogerMint was only concerned that Jigue would realize it in the worst possible way. Despite this, there was no way of knowing for sure, and Jigue had not told many people what exactly had happened last time he was out. "Jigue... at least acknowledge that you're listening," the fox beta asked, not wanting either side to get upset.

The pale feline's ears flattened against his head, annoyed that he was stuck taking orders from a beta that wasn't even his. "I'm not helpless," he growled. Being blind wasn't a new thing, and he had learned to deal with living with it long ago. All this worry over it, it was only making things worse.

"Don't you think I know that?" MoogerMint snorted, moving to put canned foods up into the cupboard. "Look, you haven't been outside this place much at all. Without somebody to help you, you're bound to get lost. It's not because you're blind, it's because you don't know the area!"

"She has a point, you know," Foxglove's voice came from the table, where the demon was seated, waiting for a bowl of noodles to cool enough to be eaten.

"Hush, you'll only make things worse," Jiki hissed quietly toward the brightly-colored uke.

However, the fox had not been quick enough to silence Fox, and Jigue was already bristling at the comment. "And who's to say I don't have someone to help me?" he nearly shouted with frustration, unable to process the comment before it had been said.

"Isn't it obvious to anyone else?" a fourth voice came from the hall, where the unicorn Baldasarre had been leaning for quite some time. He snickered, wondering if he was the only one observant enough, though it had come off as sounding rather snide. "The kid has a crush!"

Jigue's face visibly flushed, a thousand different thoughts running through his mind. It wasn't that the cat was embarrassed over the fact, but... was it really such a big deal? Would the rest of them even understand? It had been, after all, very quick for a relationship. He fidgeted slightly before giving a slight glare to the floor. "I'll be fine," he grumbled before turning swiftly on his heel, out the door. He knew what was going to come next... Relationships this quick didn't last very long, right? That they were concerned he was leaping into this too quickly. They didn't understand it, not at all! How quickly he and Basil clicked, it was something Jigue had never experienced before, not even close. He didn't even fully comprehend it himself, but as it stood, Jigue could not picture himself living without Basil. It seemed completely inconceivable.

After watching the feline head out the door, a moment went by before Jiki realized he had frozen in place. How could he not have seen something so obvious before? Of all people, he should have known... He cocked his head to look at Baldasarre before elbowing the uni in the ribs, turning back to help MoogerMint. "He's not going to be back for a while; he's pretty ticked."

"Ow! Hey! How was I suppose to know he was just going to storm on out of here!" He ran a hand through his hair, upset that he was the cause of Jigue getting so upset. How was he suppose to know he was the only one observant enough to see it?

Fox rolled his eyes. "Smooth move, Sarre," he scoffed, though was not lacking in concern himself. After all, he was afraid that this was starting to mirror what happened to a good friend of his. "Think he'll be okay?"

"At least bring a coat!" MoogerMint yelled from behind a grocery bag that was much too big for her to be carrying.

The cooling midday air was quick to calm the frustrated cat down, once he was able to clear his head. He knew he shouldn't have gotten so upset, but if things had kept going as they were, Jigue would never have gotten out of there, at least without an escort. That was the last thing he had wanted out of today...

He tilted his head backwards, feeling the sun on his face. It was nice to know there were so many people who cared, but there was a time when it became just too much to handle. Wasn't this the best way to learn one's way in the world? With someone you completely trusted and cared for? And love... Jigue thought, a smile spreading it's way across his face.

He realized with a start just how far he had gone from the house, already strolling down the cemented walkway through the park. It was funny how the mind worked; he hadn't even needed to consciously think of traveling this way to accomplish it.

And the scraping sound that came from down the walkway a bit further, it was unmistakable. "Basil?" he called, knowing the sound of the chalk scribbling away at the uneven floor. He froze in his steps, afraid he may step on the picture if he went any further.

Basil was humming to himself lightly as he moved around his mural. He gave approving noises and some not so approving. Tail waving behind him he continued to color, the chalk having a very distinct noise.

The feline's ears swiveled when he heard his name, his eyes only following after he finished the last detail of the bird he was working on. He couldn't help but beam happily, as he purred, "Jigue!" The other was only about a yard away as he was at the bottom of his drawing. He purred and moved, dusting himself off, "Come come ~! I'm almost done!"
