A message for you, sir!

It had been a sunny day when the letter from Lab came. An unexpected letter proclaiming that she had the ’honor’ to receive a child of unusual caliber to raise and care for. Riulve on that day had been dubious about the ’honor’ part. She already had a son and after this odd letter Riulve had begun to feel like a woman marked by the devil, fates, or other forces she could not see and it was becoming rather annoying. Still she had resolved to go and see what this was about and had arranged for her son, Mana, to be left with the elderly neighbor who usually watched the boy.

With everything arranged all that remained was that the next day the boy was to be dropped off and then Riulve made her way to the establishment. This day, oddly enough, was different from the other one. It was cloudy and occasionally the sky would open to spit upon the world below it, or at least that was how Riulve viewed this weather behavior. The sky opened up just to spit upon her in mockery.

The tall woman knew how this day would end, because she could not say ‘no’ to a child once she sees them and they are offered to her. She would come home with the child no matter how much she would try to get out of it. It would be somehow forced upon her and she would take the child because she was soft. Soft like a large puffy marshmallow. At least where children were concerned. Deep inside she had nurtured the seed that was reserved the desire for motherhood, to have children of her own blood. A child she won’t be able to have unless she figured out how to asexually reproduce or find herself a mate (for a night or for life).

Upon coming to the entrance of the establishment that had sent her the letter she let out a gust of breath before placing her hand against the door only to have someone yank it open from under her hand and to her amazement and the lab-tech’s shock there was someone standing there. The lab-tech was trying to go out and about his business and had not foreseen to see a woman of Amazonian proportions to be standing at the threshold of the Labs.

“M..May I help you Miss…” The lab-tech quickly took a step back as the tall woman made her way in. He was startled by the icy stare she had greeted him with.

“Riulve Drunhild. I am here for the child.” She had done whatever hoopla they had forced her to do to get to this point, she was in no mood for fussing about.

“Oh! We weren’t expecting you so soon. Let me go check on the subject’s status.” His plans forgotten the lab technician disappeared from sight and into the inner workings of the building. While Riulve moved off to sit in one of the chairs in the lobby.

It didn’t take long until a soft sniffling was heard and the click of talon-nails against the floor echoed through out the room followed by the decisive tap of clean hard soled work shoes right after it. Riulve looked over at the sounds only to see a oddly shaped child with tears pouring down her chubby little cheeks that had a tail dragging against the ground.

“I..I…I DON’T WANT TO GO SHE LOOKS SCARY.” The child wailed and began a fresh wave of sobs.

The lab technician sighed softly, this one was different from the one that had greeted her at the door, it was female. “Girlie, we all have to do whatever we don’t want. I am sure she is nice…” The tech looked up toward Riulve and a brief second a look of certainty passed over the other female’s face before she turned her attention to the child again. “Well, I don’t think she’ll hurt you in any case.”

Riulve wasn’t sure if she should be amused or insulted, either way she stood up and approached them. “If the girl does not wish to go -- She is a girl right? -- Then don’t make her.”

The girl sniffled a bit looking wide eyed at being given the option to stay. Perhaps the lady wasn’t that scary.

The lab technician sighed loudly as she looked back up at the tall woman. “We do not the capability to care for her here the way she needs to be cared for. Plus if we kept all the children we would be overrun…”
Riulve’s eyebrow shot up at that, “What kind of place do you run here?”

“You do not need to know.” The tech said briskly suddenly becoming cold, “Now take the child and be on your way.” Somehow the tall outlandish woman had pricked the female technician’s carefully set up professional wall. She just wanted to be rid of the brat and get back to work.

Now it was Riulve’s turn to bristle, “I think I do just in case something goes wrong.”

The girl sniffed a bit and began to move toward the tall woman out of her own curiosity. The small girl seemed to now become shyly fascinated with the large woman.

“Then you will call us and we will come see you or you bring her here. Beyond that we just need you to act as her guardian.” The woman turned and stormed off dark faced. The child was no longer clinging to her. She paused a moment to add, “Someone will be up to give you some paperwork to sign.”

Riulve was about to retort when she felt a small hand grasp her pinky finger which made her look down only to gaze down at the pale eyes of the small teary eyed child. The tall woman softened a bit and sighed. Somehow she would have to make room for the girl and think of a name for her for certainly none was mentioned in the letter or otherwise.

Soon the technician from earlier popped up with a wide smile, “Congratulations! What you gonna name her?”

The white haired woman looked up and sighed a bit, “I don’t know yet, just hand me the forms and stuff I need to fill.”

The technician continued to smile while he handed over the forms and gave the girl a pat on the head before turning to walk of, “Just leave it at the desk. One of the secretaries will get to it when they are off of break.” and with that they were left alone.

Riulve, with the girl still hanging onto her pinky, went to the chairs and sat down again. The girl stood in front of the woman not wanting to sit apart from her. Riulve sighed and lifted the girl onto her lap and positioned her so she could still write on the sheets.

She filled all of the required fields except for one. Riulve had saved it for last:

‘Name of Child: Wynnifred Majorie Drunhild’

The small girl peered at the unfamiliar characters that filled the page. More the once she had tried to help, “What’s that mean?” she asked in a soft voice.

“Your name, you are Wynnifred Majorie Drunhild.” Riulve said with an amazing amount of patience as she clipped the pen back onto the clipboard.

“My name sounds long…” There was a pause for a moment, “I like it! I bet my name is longer than the other kids’ names.” A small ounce of pride filled the girl’s voice.

Riulve laughed a bit and nodded, “Possibly. Though I think I’ll just call you Wynni.”

“Kay! Can we go to my new home now?”

“Yeah, let me just drop this off…”

The form dropped off the pair went home, toward the end of the journey Riulve ended up having to carry the odd hybrid child in her arms the rest of the way...

Outside Time!
Hmm, new people...

A jarring discovery

Wynni meets a boy named Adriel. Adriel has tentacles! This is where Wynni names the tentacles Chii and Fuu. The small girl walks away from the experience with the contentment of a friend made and tentacles named appropriately. Adriel even played tag with her! All around it was a full day at the playground.

An average picnic?!
Scary men are scary.

Its a nice sunny day for a picnic?

The 7o7 company holds a picnic for the spawn and their families. Wynni and Riulve are in attendance. Wynni catches sight of 'Mr. Vampy' and decides that he's just a little too scary for the likes of her and spends much time avoiding him...

A is for Augh!
"1 ... 2 ... 5 ..." "3, sir!"

Riulve had finally, after some weeks of bothering and nudging from Wynni, sat down and wrote out some letters and numbers on a sheet in a neat, legible handwriting so that the girl could understand. Riulve even set down some images and dots for the small girl to see the differences between the numbers and what it meant for there to be 1 or 3s of things.

Dots, shapes, numbers littered the table before them. Wynni seemed to have a good understanding of colors and a underlying knowledge of shapes. Though the small girl had insisted on trying more difficult shapes and wouldn’t let up until her guardian showed her how to draw them.

Letters and numbers gave the small girl a bit of a run for her money but she refused to give up. Her small tongue sticking out in concentration as she scrawled and colored and even went back to her earlier works in order to label some of the items by their proper names -- at least she tried to. Wynni kept asking Riulve on how to spell this, that, or the other.

“Alright, r-e-d.” Riulve said patiently as she sat across from her daughter at the kitchen table. Her son had gone off to watch TV. It was all review for him.

Wynni wrote it in her careful but highly childish hand. “I wanna spell the other one by myself!” She had earlier mixed blue with red and wound up learning about a color that had not been apart of the lesson. The color was purple and bright due to the quality color quality of the crayons.

“Alright, pup, you do that.” Riulve said with an amused chuckle.

“Purrr…ple…” Wynni spelt the word wrong in the end, despite sounding it out but Riulve let the child keep her victory with a small chuckle. There was going to be plenty of time to correct the girl over the next few weeks.

“Go plaster it up on the fridge, I’ll get dinner ready. Lessons are done for today.”

“Kay!”

Dear Journal...
Mmm...

Riulve sighed as she opened her journal and got out her pen. The house was quiet and it was deep in the night. Her mind whirled with many thoughts and feelings. So much was going on but most of her thoughts were on Wynni. The prospect of her own relationships that had currently been building were beside the fact. Riulve found herself constantly thinking of her children and so tonight she wrote about Wynni...

She signed the entry with a flourish and tucked the journal away with the pen right next to it so she knew where to find either of them when she would need them next. With a long luxurious stretch the tall woman got up and began to get ready to go out for most of the night, her features already becoming wolfish as she passed through her bedroom door...

It would be on a Saturday that you open your mail box (if you have one) and notice there is a rather thick envelope stuffed in there. There is no postage stamp and a very vague return address. But you recognize the font and the company's name. 'Seven of Seven Inc' scrawled in majestic font across the upper left hand corner. As you open it, you may strangely find yourself drawn to the letter, there is a mass of notes inside. They read as follows:

Letter
Congratulations! You have managed to succeed in raising your child. (IE: Not killing him or her or getting killed yourself. Haha we kid of course.) We would like an update from you on the following:

Guardians Name:
Child's Name:
Sin:
Virtue:
Gender:
Current Attitude:
Likes:
Dislikes:
Any abnormal growths: (if any, example: Feathers molting, horns growing larger, scars )
Current hair style:
Current clothing preferences:
Dominant celestial trait: (The sin or virtue)

Please summarize in your own words how difficult or easy it was taking care of your child. Did you manage to care for them in a kindly fashion? Or were you forced to discipline them?
As well do not be alarmed if you suddenly find your child achieving a massive growth spurt in the next little while. We are finding that the children from our facility have strange growing patterns and are rather unpredictable. Although please let us know if anything unexpected occurs.

Sincerely the technicians from Seven of Seven Inc.

Ps. Please just leave your letter back in your mail box one you have completed it our courier will pick it up.

Thank you.

You would notice the letter seems overly friendly...strange since the scientist were so ...cold before.

(Just take the from Guardians name to Dominant Celestial trait and pm it to the mule, the summarization doesn't have to be long just have fun with it.)

Just an average morning...
...Or not!

The night before Wynni had been stubborn about going to bed when she was sent. Riulve often let the small girl stay up later than her older brother because the woman had recognized that the girl didn’t seem to want or need as much rest, however, during that time the small girl had to do active things with her mother outdoors during the night. Their neighbors thought them as a little odd as mother and daughter did some late night gardening or even played small games of tag in order to exert Wynni to the point where she could sleep.

Still, on that night, Wynni wouldn’t go to sleep. She complained about minor aches and pains that had nothing to do with the minor game of tag they had played outside with flashlights. The small girl wanted something to drink or wanted to be read to and just simply wanted her mother to hold onto her as she fitfully tried to stay still long enough to rest.

Riulve couldn’t help but blame the letter she had gotten from the Facility some time before this day. It was like a survey that she had absently filled out and sent in. It was an odd way of checking up on everyone but it was interesting to see that they had care enough to do so when they seemed disinterested in keeping the child at all. Her gain and their loss, really; still there was nothing mentioned of ill or pain befalling her adopted daughter, just growth and certainly Wynni had not grown. Thus the white haired woman dismissed it as she left the room when her daughter had finally fallen asleep.

The next day everyone was in for a shock, mostly Wynni.

She had awoken and found that her feet were just barely dangling off of the foot of her small bed and her tail was now completely draped off of to the one side of the bed closest to the wall. Her pale-pink eyes seemed unfocused for a moment or two as she drowsily awoke and began to sit up mumbling to herself and she felt the tightness of her pajamas upon her form. Funny, the pajamas fit just fine the night before… As she sat up she felt disoriented and even a touch dizzy and it only got worse as she moved to stand up only to find herself stumbling a bit forward and then falling with a heavy thud.

The thud seemed to summon Riulve with little delay as the woman opened the door with a small gasp as the words of a question disappeared before they had a chance to be formed. The tall woman looked upon the much taller child form before her and furrowed her brow.

“Wynni,” Riulve said calmly as she could, “it seems we need to find you some new clothes.” The white haired woman was proud that her daughter had grown but now seemed an odd time to celebrate.

Wynni paused and looked up at her mother with sleepy confusion until it had dawned upon her. She had grown.

As of late you find that Wynni's sense of hearing has become more acute than a normal person's may be (can hear people whisper words clearly is a good example). Worried she may be suffering from a condition and it could worsen it may be a good idea to contact the facility and set up an appointment with them.

...OH LORD I CAN HEAR FOREVER!!
...And it sounds scary. crying

“Momma, you like that Harriet guy a lot, don’t you?”

“W..What? How did you know…I was talking to him?” Riulve was caught off guard as she came into the living room from the kitchen. The woman thought she was having a mildly private conversation on the phone, but obviously her daughter had snuck in and eavesdropped or so she thought.

Wynni blinked a bit, “You were talking on the phone pretty loud…”

“No I wasn’t…” Riulve returned with a raised eyebrow, her arms crossed over her chest as the blush slowly faded away.

“Well, I still heard you and I think you like him a lot!” Wynni retorted with a small bit of tongue sticking out as if the gesture proved her point.

The white haired woman grunted a bit, “How long have you been able to … hear like this?”

Wynni gave a pause and shrugged a shoulder as her pink eyes gazed back over to the television she had been watching before her mother had come in. Around Wynni was an assortment of other things, mostly puzzle games and books. The girl had been known to watch television and do puzzles at the same time. Often Riulve would sit nearby and quiz the girl about the show on the television only to be surprised that the girl had actually been paying attention to the show the entire time even while solving the puzzles. It seemed that the puzzles were just busy work for her hands more than anything else.

Riulve frowned a bit, “Can you maybe … Not listen in to my conversations then?”

The girl flicked her eyes away from the television again and shook her head, “Can’t control it, Momma. It sorta comes and goes.”

“I…See…I’ll go make an appointment and see what is up.” The woman said distractedly as she turned around to go for the kitchen. When her back was turned Wynni made a small face of distaste and then returned her attention back to the television.
