Riulve stalked along the aisles of the store quietly looking over the items in turn occasionally turning her head slightly to keep an eye on her newest charge, Wynni, who stuck to her like a tiny shadow with wide eyes. The small green haired girl was almost shy at the moment, not seeming sure what to make of the tall woman before her just yet.
The six-foot-five woman smiled what she felt was a friendly smile and offered the child her fingertips to hold on to. “Come on, little one, I don’t want you to get lost.”
Without seeming to think about it the small hand clasped around two of Riulve’s fingertips and held on. Obviously the child trusted the odd white haired woman if nothing else. “Kay!” She chirped.
There was but one person missing from the scene and that was Riulve’s older charge whom was for the moment in the capable hands of her elderly next door neighbor who offered to keep an eye on the small quiet boy while the woman took her ’daughter’ out shopping.

O U R A D V E N T U R E Zephyr tugged Slythor along. "Fine, you can have the macaroni and cheese with white cheddar, but just for tonight." He smiled down at the young one, putting a box into his shopping cart as he pushed it along, the clipping of the other's hooves following him.
"Look papa! A strange one like me!" Slythor pulled from the other's grasp and ran up to the other one. "Hello! I'm Slythor!" He grinned.
Zephyr sped up to meet the other two. "I'm sorry." He spoke. "My son is a little excited when he meets another like him..."

Riulve paused her stalking of the aisles at the tone of a small voice behind them. She tossed a casual glance to see what the fuss was about only to find it that it was apparently about them. The tall woman turned causing the young child grasping her fingertips to turn along with her guardian to face the oncoming boy who seemed rather excited to see Wynni.
Wynni, however, uttered an uncertain squeak and took a small step back and hid behind Riulve’s legs, but favoring Slythor a peek from behind the legs, a small blush on her tiny cheeks as her lizard-tail swished about behind her. “Hiiiya?” she said in a small girlish voice, as her large pinkish eyes blinked in shy curiosity.
The woman turned toward the man that was apparently the parent or guardian of the child and nodded as she wiggled her fingertips in Wynni’s grasp in order to urge the child on forward. Riulve had no cart, nor did she really have any items with her at the moment. It seems she was merely taking stock of the items and prices before actually pulling out a cart and putting anything in it. “It is alright, Wynni needs a friend or two when she can find them. Right Wynni?”
Wynni ignored the question and continued to stare at the boy in front of her moving forward a bit due to her guardian’s urging and her own overwhelming curiosity.

O U R A D V E N T U R E "That's alright. It happens all the time." Zephyr replied, smiling. "It seems plenty are coming out day after day. Just a few weeks ago we met two others." He spoke. "So, your young one's name is Wynni? A nice name. What is your name? I'm Zephyr." He smiled, trying to stay friendly despite how this may not turn out as had been hoped.
Slythor grinned and took Wynni's hand, tugging at her. "Let's play! Let's play!!" He grinned. Of course, he could be calm but he didn't want to, not when he had a potential new friend!!

Riulve tilted her head to one side as she watched Zephyr before she responded, “I am Riulve Drunhild,” she offered a free hand for a handshake. “Pleased to meet a fellow … Parent?” her icy blue gaze glinted a little in askance as if to make sure that she was right in her assumption. For all she knew the man before her was the boy’s adopted uncle on one side of the family or another.
The smaller girl stepped a little forward to avoid stumbling, but she didn’t let go of her guardian’s hand just yet, but soon she didn’t have to worry about not letting go as Riulve wriggled her fingertips out of the small child’s hand.
“Go on, Wynn, he is alright, I’ll be right here.” The tall woman said as Wynni turned her head, the threat of tears already in the small girl’s eyes.

O U R A D V E N T U R E Zephyr nodded and took the other's hand to shake it gently. He nodded and repeated her name to himself. "Riulve.Nice to meet you." He nodded at her assumption. "Aye, I am his parent." He smiled. "How are you?" He asked, smiling all the while. He wanted to stay friendly looking
Slythor grinned but frowned at the sight of her tear threat. He quickly let go and petted her head. "Please don't cry. I just want to play." He spoke, tugging at her sleeve. "Let's play please? It'll be fun and I'll go easy on you! Honest!"

Riulve noted the distress on the small boy, she held up a hand signaling to Zephyr that she intended to answer his question in a moment, as soon as she attended to her reluctant child. Kneeling next to Wynni the tall woman placed her hands upon the child’s shoulders and turned her to face her, “He wants to be friends and it is rude for you to act this way to him, girl. Little Slythor is being friendly and you should try to play with him.”
The small girl let a couple of tears drop down her cheeks, “What if...What if you go away and forget me?” she asked with a quivering tone.
The woman sighed a bit, “If I go anywhere I will get you. You and Slythor may go to the toy aisle or maybe at the shop front and play coin-rides there. After we leave you and I will go get you some new dresses and more things for your room, okay?”
Wynni sniffed and wiped away the tears with a small nod, placated. She turned toward Slythor upon being released and she moved forward as she offered up her hand an apologetic look on her face. “S-sorry.” she muttered hoping that her behavior hadn’t upset him to a point that he didn’t wish to play anymore. The truth was the small girl was more than a little scared of being abandoned.
Riulve stood back up with a small sigh, “Sorry about that. I am well enough,” she chuckled, “and you?”

O U R A D V E N T U R E Zephyr nodded and watched the other parent her child. He smiled gently, remembering where Slythor was shy as well. The other seemed to now have a high boost of confidence along with a growth spurt, and it made for amusing results sometimes where people would gawk as his odd features. He simply seemed to be completely oblivious to them and if they insulted him he'd he violent and kick them with his knew and sharpened hooves in his 'show them who's boss' self. Then it got into a more serious situation. He snapped back as she was done conversing. "It's alright. I'm a little tired, and in need for some good recipes for food. Do you have any suggestions?"
Slythor grinned and nodded, taking the girl's hand. "C'mon! I know this place like the back of my hand! There're these really cool toys there! Come see!" He grinned and clip clopped his way towards it, but always turned around to make sure the girl was alright and keeping up, and making sure she was comfortable with getting farther and farther away from their parents.

Riulve crossed her arms over her chest and she looked thoughtful for the moment, “Aye, I can understand being tired, seems I’m tired a lot lately,” she shrugged as she pondered over his query over recipes. “I suppose it depends on who you are cooking for and if the person or people are picky eaters. I don’t often get too fancy with my cooking.” Then again Riulve didn’t seem the type that would cook at all, but she did.
The small girl held the boy’s hand and followed along easily enough, as her small clawed reptile feet made accompanying clicking sounds to Slythor’s clip-clops. “Okay~.” She said agreeably while following. “Uhhm, uhhm, what games do you like to play?” Wynni asked softly, as she tried to acquaint herself with the boy that was guiding her.

O U R A D V E N T U R E "Me and Slythor aren't very picky at all, however I can only cook simple recepies. " Zephyr replied, a smile on his face as he spoke. "It's sad I have to take him out in order to treat him every once in a while, but he doesn't seem to mind at all." He remembered when he actually had to cook for someone other than himself. He burned nearly everything and Slythor seemed not to notice, saying it tasted good. It made him wonder what exactly he had been fed at the lab.
Slyhor grinned. He dashed over to the end of the toy hall. "First one to get to the other end wins!" He grinned and got in his own little position. "Ready set go!" And he ran off.

The tall woman gave a small nod, “Well, what have you made so far? No need for duplicate recipes running about.” Riulve was trying to be helpful, but she needed a starting point to leap from to be of any use to anyone. “It is good that you and your son aren’t picky, it makes things easier.”
For a moment Wynni just stood there, baffled by this particular act. She had no real concept of racing, but as she was being rapidly left behind she started forward as not to be left behind, “H-Hey! Waiiit!” She called out as she pattered along after the larger faster child.

O U R A D V E N T U R E "Hm... that's a good question. I believe I have attempted some desserts, and simple soups and appetizers. Nothing major." Zephyr replied, closing his eyes temporarily to think. He then looked around. "So, what do you get your child for mealtimes?" He spoke, wanting to make quiet conversation while they wanted to their kids to come back.
Slythor soon arrived at the edge. "Yeah! I win!" He puffed out his scaled chest, only to notice the other was barely keeping up. Ah well, the weak had to be treated like the weaklings they were. He waited for the other to catch up to bring the child into a hug. "You ok?"

Riulve pondered the question, “Macaroni and cheese, spaghetti, sometimes I bake cookies. Not too good at the baking part yet, but the batches are coming out less burnt each time.” The tall woman gave a good natured chuckle. It was rather amusing. Supposedly women were supposed to be good at those sort of things or so she had been told a time or two before.
Wynni made no comment on his pronouncement of winning nor did she pull out of the hug but she did half-heartedly return the hug with a sort of misty-eyed look in her eyes that said that she would soon start crying unless something is done to appease her. “Y…Yeah,” she muttered as her gaze pointed downward as if ashamed somehow, ashamed that she didn’t know of this game, ashamed that she had lost something so simple.

O U R A D V E N T U R E Zephyr nodded with a laugh. "I see. I'm trying to let my child have a healthy eating range but my lack of ability to cook makes it hard for me." He laughed gently. "I haven't tired Macaroni and cheese though. I have no idea how to make sauce..."
Slythor grinned. "Well, let's go look what toys we want." He grabbed a box. "We'll put them in here! There's no contest!" He grinnned and went to take a plushie of a lion, and put it in. " See? Easy!"

Riulve grinned and shrugged, “I either get the frozen sort or the kind that comes out of the box. I guess it would be better if it was homemade but it seems like a very messy ordeal.”
Wynni stared at Slythor for a long moment the well of tears retreating again as she moved toward him and on her way picked up a doll and deposited it. There was almost something in his mannerisms and behavior toward her that she almost wanted to object to but she decided not to, probably guessing or hoping he meant well by it. She gave an amiable smile and chirped, “Like that?”
