The arcade was a little dark and noisy for the mother-daughter pair but still they had time to kill but they didn’t enter the arcade, merely sat at the bench near by. Wynni busily looked about the surrounding entrance of the theater as the tip of her tail ticked back and forth idly. They were waited for Wynni’s brother, who had begged, in his way, to be able to play the item-crane thing despite Riulve’s insistence that the game was a brigand and ill made.
Riulve kept a eye on her son, Mana, as he stood on tip-toes and stuck out a tongue as if it helped him concentrate as he moved the lever about to make the crane do his bidding. The tall woman had given her son a handful of coins and told him that he was out of luck once he spent what he had into the game.

Allete was happy. Her mother had dropped her off at the theater with her allowance and drove off. Probably because Allete would spend all day in there watching movies if she had the money for them. In fact, the girl was trudging her way across the entrance, glancing about for the screen she was supposed to go to.
The girl was only slightly tempted by the movies that the ticket lady wouldn't let her go see. Why did you have to be 17 to see some of them? They looked cool! Allete was pondering a way to sneak into them when she spotted someone with wings nearby. "Oooh..." The girl cooed and made a beeline for Wynni. "You have pretty wings!" The girl proclaimed as she drew near.

Wynni blinked as she heard a sudden compliment from seemingly nowhere before she finally turned her head toward the source and observed a child coming toward her with a set of FOUR wings. The first set on the small girl’s mind is whether or not the other girl ever got them all tangled up but she had to admit that they were lovely.
“Your wings are pretty, too! All four of them,” she instantly complimented the girl back. Instantly Wynni liked the other girl and decided she would attempt to befriend her. After all if the other girl could recognize the prettiness of Wynni’s wings she must be a good person.

Allete grinned and displayed her wings. "Thanks!" The girl could smell the buttery popcorn being sold only a short distance away from them. "What movie're you seeing?" The girl fiddled with her ticket stub, hoping that maybe her new friend was going to see the same movie. However, her train of thought was interrupted by something more important. "You have a tail too!!"

“Dunno, some cartoon thing,” The small girl responded with a swing of her short legs. Wynni tilted her head at the sudden exclamation of her having a tail, “Yah! I do! An’ you have green scale-things!” The small girl pointed out in an admiring tone.
Riulve watched her child and the other child with mild amusement present in her icy gaze before turning her eyes a way to keep a sharp eye on her son.

Allete glanced at her ticket stub, not even remembering which one she'd picked. Her first three choices, the lady wouldn't let her go see. The girl grinned and held out an arm to be admired. "Yup! I got horns, too." She managed to part some of her hair so that the horn could be seen. Allete appeared to never brush her hair...

Being younger Wynni naturally reached up to touch the horn-protrusion that was revealed to her gaze by the other girl. As an afterthought the toddler moved her hand back a little, glancing over at her mother before softly asking, “Can I feel? I just wanna feel. They look neato!” She was as good as receiving compliments as she was getting them.

Allete grinned and nodded, pulling apart her hair some more to further show off the horn. She had another, but it was somewhere in that hair of hers, most likely. She even lowered her head some so that the smaller girl could reach.

The smaller girl reached up and touched the horns, how having permission to do so. She giggled a bit, “They’re nice!” They felt funny but the horns looked really neat on the other girl, Wynni decided. Unlike most smaller children she didn’t reach out to grab or tug at the hair she just placed her small hands back on her lap.
“M’name is Wynni.” She announced all of the sudden as if half-remembering that names were not given.
The small girl pointed back toward the tall woman behind her, “That is my momma and my brother is in the arcade.”

"Thanks..." Allete grinned and let loose of her hair, which did whatever the heck it wanted to do. She smiled a bit sheepishly as the other girl gave her name. "I'm Allete!" The child looked at the woman next to Wynni for a moment, then over at the arcade.
"Those games look cool..." Flashing lights and lots of sounds came from the arcade area and seemed to be an attempt to entice people to come play. It appeared to be working on Allete...

Wynni beamed at Allete happily, "That is a pretty name! I like it!" She bounced a bit in her seat excitedly. "Yeah the games look kind of fun but I dunno how to play a lot of them." A small momentary pout.
There was a thoughtful pause and then, "Maybe we can play one of the games that need two people! An' you can help me, then when it is movie time we can go together." Wynni, being unable to read just yet offered up her own ticket stub that she withdrew from the folds of her dress. "We going to the same one yah?"
Riulve chuckled a bit, "If you two are going to do that ... I guess I better get you guys some coin-tokens..."

Allete grinned, "Thanks." She glanced over at the games. "I'm not sure either... but that sounds like fun!" She looked at the ticket stub and nodded. "Yeah, that's like mine!" She showed the girl her own stub.
"Coin-tokens?" Allete blinked at that, wondering why they'd need those... whatever they are.

"Yah! We can sit together and stuff." The whole going to the movies thing just now got a lot more interesting for the small girl.
Riulve stood and nodded, "They make you take tokens for the games in order for you to play some of them..." The tall woman explained as she dug out some money from a pocket. "You guys can play for a bit and then we'll go into the theatre since we are apparently going to the same one."

"Yeah! We can!" Allete grinned at Wynni, then glanced at the woman. "Thank you!" She remembered her manners! Her mother would be so proud! "Let's go play before the movie!" She grabbed Wynni's hand. "Which should we play first?"

Before the girls ran off to play their games Riulve had given them their tokens. Both were given enough to play games until the movies would start. "You're quite welcome, pup." Riulve said with a small yawn before she seated herself. With the children suitably occupied she felt she could take a well deserved break.
Wynni ran with Allete so she wouldn't trip or be dragged behind while her own hand grasped back at the other girl's so that she wouldn't get lost in the large dark place with the blinking lights. She looked around just vaguely seeming to hear Allete's question before murmuring a soft, "I 'unno. So many of them though! Let's play ... That one!" She pointed at a game of Whack-a-Mole.
