Gold eyes searched the area, looking for places that she could hide. There was a tree in the distance but he didn’t know if she could run that fast to it. Alik looked over the pile of rocks and the huge one that was in the center. He shook his head, coming to the conclusion that she couldn’t be under there. He would search the tree and its general area and come back to the rock.
It was bothering him, it really was. When he got in closer to it he began to think that maybe she could hide in there. There was a small hole underneath it and now he had his suspicions. The tree was not very far…He would come back to the rocks after he searched the tree and its surroundings. Nodding his head at his decision he began a slow trot over to the tree, his tail flying with his ears up and alert for any sound she could make.

Katrina let a slow breath escape from her chest. She hadn't even realized she had been holding it. She almost coughed, the cold dusty air irritating her throat, but kept it back. She craned her neck, trying to see if Alik was still standing outside of the rock. To her relief he was trotting back towards a tree. She looked at it skeptically, there was no way she would have run that far just for a game. She retreated back farther into the hole underneath the rock, and with pleasure discovered a small opening a little farther back. She wormed her way through it, and she couldn't hold back a very loud excited squeal as she discovered what was back there.

Making it to the tree Alik searched all around it. Not seeing her behind it or even around it he let out a frustrated sigh and peered over at the pile of rocks. She had to be around there, because looking at the area he was in now it didn’t look to be anything that she could have hidden her self behind or even near it. Blowing his blond bangs out of his face he galloped over to the rocks again, getting there in only a few minutes.
Alik glared at the stupid rocks. Moving a bit closer his eyes widened upon discovering a small hole underneath the biggest rock. How could he have missed that? Rolling his eyes he walked nearer the hole and stuck his head in. He quickly pulled his head out and sneezed with a loud noise. There was dust all over the place in there, but it was a good hiding place. Grinning, the little foal squinted his eyes and peered into the darkness, “Hey, are you in here?” He called out to the dark crawl space, maybe she would answer?

Katrina heard Alik's voice from inside the hole, and yelled, "Yes! YES! Come in here Alik, you simply HAVE to see this!" She would have been bouncing up and down with excitement if the small space wasn't constricting her. She wiggled her way through the hole, and plopped onto the soft sand in the cave. Streached out before her was a small cavern, filled with pointy things on the ceiling, and a dip in the ground was filled with water. She couldn't believe she had found this, that Alik and her had found this. If he hadn't wanted to play hide and seek, they never would have!

Alik’s eyes widened. Did she not know that by talking she gave her position away? What if it was a trap of some sort? Peeking more into the whole he noticed that he could theoretically fit into the small space. Sighing, he gently lowered himself into the hole, still not seeing well in such dim light. As he finally got the last of himself in, meaning his butt fit, his vision had better adjusted to the light and he was able to see a faint outline that was Katrina.
She seemed to be staring at something and as he came up he announced his presence, “Found you, now you have to go hide.” Looking around her he saw that she was staring at some pointy rocks that covered the entire cave. Gold eyes widened a little more, and he stared in an awed silence. “Cool…” He whispered still staring at the rocks.

Katrina was practically bouncing up and down from excitement, and she said "Its just so amazing! I mean, the time it must have taken for these staligemites and staligtites to form was probably hundreds if not thousands of years! And for them to have been created in such a cave as this is just astounding!" Her eyes were shinning, until she realized she had just done the one thing she had sworn to herself never to do. That she actually knew things other than hair and beauty. Biting her lip, she said, "Um, I usually don't do that."

Alik turned his attention away from the glittering rocks, now named stalagmites and stalactites, and saw that she appeared to be worried over something. She was pretty smart. She knew something that he didn’t know, so that had to be something. But he was curious over what was worrying her. “You don’t usually do what? Talk?” Because she sure did talk a lot for not talking all the time, if that was the case.
